Noel Gallagher joined the Gorillaz and Jehnny Beth on stage tonight in London and played 'We Got The Power', the track features on the Gorillaz new Humanz LP.

Damon Albarn On Working With Noel Gallagher On Gorillaz New Album

The Oasis legend sings backing vocals on We Got The Power, which features on the Gorillaz new Humanz LP.

Damon album says it was "fantastic" working in the studio with Noel Gallagher for Gorillaz's new Humanz album, which is set for release on 28 April 2017.

The Oasis man provided backing vocals on the animated band's new track, We Got The Power, which features Savages' Jehnny Beth.

Asked about recording with Gallagher, Albarn told Radio X's Gordon Smart: "Its really great, he’s fantastic in the studio. Its nice when you see how someone goes about their business. He’s great."

Talking about the process involved in making the track, the Blur frontman revealed: "At one point this song had Graham (Coxon), Noel and me on it and it was sort of heading slightly in the wrong direction.

"It was becoming almost retro in its sort of spirit and way too rocky for this record so I kind of stripped it right back down again. We play it slightly different live then how it is on the record. It’s sort of the song that comes on during the final titles of a film. The climax. I thought Jehnny would take a bit of the testosterone off."

Liam Gallagher Calls Style Magazine Journalist Julie Burchill An "Old Tart"

Liam Gallagher has reacted angrily after he was mocked in an interview with his brother Noel.

The former Oasis bandmates' relationship was referenced in the feature published today, with the journalist saying she felt like asking Noel, 48, about his younger brother would be "like mocking the afflicted."

Slamming the rocker, 43, she wrote: "Liam, who once appeared to be living the dream, is now reduced to flogging mugs and bags, among other bagatelles, at his Pretty Green shops.

"Talking about him to his supremely accomplished and satisfied brother - whose dream it was, and who is still living it - would have seemed like mocking the afflicted."

But the father-of-three was less than impressed when he heard about the piece, and called The Sunday Times' Style magazine journalist Julie Burchill an "old tart" who he suggested should snort drugs instead of mocking him, after she admitted she "took loads of cocaine for 30 years."

Taking to Twitter, he raged: "Mocking the afflicted well you'd know all about that wouldn't ya have another line you old tart."

The furious tweet came just hours after he posted a rare selfie to brag about his holiday in Belize, Central America.

Posing topless for the snap, he wrote: "Let it BELIZE"

The former Beady Eye frontman has become increasingly vocal on the social network in the last month and just last week shut down claims he will be following in his older brother's footsteps by releasing a solo album.

He tweeted: "Solo record are you ****ing tripping d***head im not a c***."

But while Liam's been making arguments, Noel's been building friendships, revealing how he ended the Britpop war between Oasis and rivals Blur.

He explained: "We were in a nightclub - I hadn't spoken to him for years, but I hadn't slagged him off for years either. Me, the wife and the kids really liked Gorillaz.

"So when I passed him in the corridor, we said, 'let's go to the bar and get a beer.'

"And he said, 'Well, what was that all about?' And I said, 'Yeah, sorry 'bout that.' It was a bit weird, but it wasn't like two grown me having a weep about it.

"It was more like 'You know what? That time was f***ing brilliant, that stuff was f***ing great!'"

Noel Gallagher On How He Made Up With Damon Albarn

Noel Gallagher has revealed how one of the biggest rivalries in music ended.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, the Oasis frontman explained how a meeting in a nightclub led to his making up with Blur frontman Damon Albarn.

It all stemmed from when Noel's wife Sara went over to Damon to say they liked Gorillaz and he reacted weirdly, asking: "Who sent you over here to say that?"

"So when I passed him in the corridor, we said, 'Let's go to the bar and get a beer'," Noel recalled. "It was a bit weird, but it wasn't like two grown men having a weep about it. It was more like 'You know what? That time was f**king brilliant, that stuff was f**king great!'"

Liam Gallagher: 'Mumford & Sons Look Like They Have F**king Nits'

Liam Gallagher has ruined his chances of ever being invited to a barn dance.

The Beady Eye frontman has laid into multi award-winning folk band Mumford & Sons.

It’s a rant up there with his finest taunts of fellow music stars.

Liam said: “Everyone looks like they’ve got f***ing nits and eat lentil soup with their sleeves rolled up.

“They all look like they live on the heath. Maybe that’s where they record.”

It’s not just the band’s appearance that riles Liam.

He’s not keen on their instruments either.

He said: “Everyone’s f***ing Don McLean — far too many acoustic guitars, no style. They look like they shop at Oxfam.

“I wouldn’t put any posters up of any band if I was a 16-year-old lad. There’s none of that sitting down on f***ing stools for me, sweetheart.”

He didn’t even mention that they all went to posh schools.

Frontman Marcus Mumford won’t feel too downhearted by Liam’s choice words though.

He only needs to check his bank balance to confirm how well the band’s albums and tours have gone down, both in the UK and US.

Besides, Mumford & Sons aren’t the only band to annoy Liam in recent months.

He’s got a few menacing moans about One Direction — although he admits he has warmed to them.

Liam told Q Magazine: “I like them. Fair play to them. Why not, man? They haven’t got a f***ing clue either.

“I met them at the Olympics and their heads were up their ar*es, but they’re harmless.”

Liam is no stranger to winding up fellow stars with cutting comments.

Florence Welch got a dressing down in 2010 when Liam said: “I’m not having anyone with ginger hair making music. She sounds like someone has stood on her foot.”

In 2001 he described Gorillaz as “like three-year-olds’ music — worse than Steps”.

In the same interview he let rip at Victoria Beckham — shortly after she released her autobiography.

He said: “She can’t even chew gum and walk in a straight line, let alone write a book.”

Shame Liam has no plans to put out an autobiography himself.

That would be well worth a read.

Noel Gallagher: I Want To Play Tender With Blur

Noel Gallagher is curating next year's Teenage Cancer Trust shows at the Royal Albert Hall and has told Xfm we might see him on stage with former Britpop rivals Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon from Blur.

It's the first time anyone other than Roger Daultrey has looked after the line-up for the annual charity event - for which Xfm is once again the exclusive radio partner.

Kasabian, Primal Scream and Ryan Adams have all been chosen by the former Oasis man for the series of shows next March but most notably - Noel himself is playing March 23 with Damon and Graham also on the bill for the same night.

Speaking to Xfm's Dan O'Connell Noel explained that he was after Oasis' former enemies Blur for the bill.

"They were one of the first people that I asked - if Blur could do it - because Damon had always said that he'd like to do it, they've tried to get Gorillaz once or twice but could never quite make it work. It was a shame Blur couldn't do it.

He continued, "I dunno how they're gonna do it... I think Damon plays piano and Graham plays guitar and they'll do a load of Blur songs and everyone has a great night.

"I wouldn't be adverse to getting up with them and playing Tender though - that being one of my favourite Blur songs."
It's something you wouldn't have imagined possible 15 years ago - something Noel acknowledged.

"What would I have said in '97? There would have been swear words involved. Definitely," he told Dan.

"We're all older now. I've been on tour with Graham recently and I've met Damon recently... we're all old dudes from the past."

Damon Albarn's Feud With Noel Gallagher A Blur As He Talks Of Duet

Damon Albarn must be going soft with age - admitting he would now welcome a duet with former Oasis arch-rival Noel Gallagher.

The Blur frontman was involved in many bitter feuds with Noel and his brother Liam in the Britpop era in the 90s.

But Damon now says a duet is a possibility after they buried the hatchet at this year's Brit Awards.

Damon has even invited Noel aboard his Africa Express train - an Albarn-formed music collective - in September.

He told ShortList: "Well, why not?"

"He should come on the Africa Express train in September. That’d be a nice chance to collaborate.

"I never held anything against him, even right in the middle of it.

"I just kind of admired them in a way; that they were better at handling it all than me. They didn’t seem to get too affected by the bull****."

Damon also admits he "got on just fine" with Noel when they met up for a beer in February.

A duet would be the latest in a long line of musical collaborations for Damon.

Since Blur, he has worked on a solo career and a number of side-projects such as Gorillaz and The Good, The Bad And The Queen.

Meanwhile, Manc Noel scored a No.1 album with his first solo project Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds last year.

Gorillaz Star Is Member Of Liam Gallagher's New Band!

Damon Albarn has let slip that a current live member of Gorillaz is also in Liam Gallagher's new band.

The singer was discussing the new Gorillaz album 'Plastic Beach' with Triple J Radio when he was asked whether the Verve's Simon Tong was currently a touring member of the group.

Albarn responded: “No, we haven't got a Verve (Simon Tong) at the moment. He's coming back. But we have a young lad called Jeff, who, funnily enough is also in Liam's new band.”

After confirming it was Liam Gallagher's band, Albarn added: “I don't know if they've got a name yet. But I just thought that was kind of funny.”

The guitarist in question is likely to be Jeff Wootton who is currently touring the UK with Gorillaz on their fanclub only jaunt.

The Gorillaz touring band also features The Clash's Paul Simonen and Mick Jones.

Damon Albarn and Liam Gallagher of course were once arch enemies during the Blur vs. Oasis Britpop heyday in the mid nineties. So much so that Albarn compared Oasis to “school bullies.”

Liam Gallagher On Pretty Green, Manchester City And Working With Jay-Z

As promised, we have another exclusive here on StopCryingYourHeartOut.com!

Friend of the site Liam Gallagher granted us a few precious minutes to discuss the new Pretty Green line coming out this month.

Liam was in good form, though he kept his cards close to his chest on the subject of his new band, he let us in on his plans for Pretty Green, what happened at the Brits and who's on his transfer wish list for Man City this summer.

Myself: One thing that I'm amazed by is that everything with Pretty Green has happened so fast. In less then a year from the first ideas, you are about to release another collection. Have you been surprised how quickly things have moved?

Liam: No, we don’t fuck about.

Myself: The range has been well received, has that surprised you?

Liam: It does surprise me considering I’ve got something to do with it, there are a lot of people who try to kill things before they even become alive.

Myself: What are the stand out items from the forthcoming range?

Liam: The camouflage parka, stands out to me personally and the button down shirts.

Myself: What's the feedback been like from fans who have ordered items from the range?

Liam: They all comment on the quality and the fit of the clothes.

Myself: Are there any specific items from the range that customers are asking for more of?

Liam: A lot of girls are asking if we will be doing a range for them, and the answer to that is YES once we have got rid of all the lads stuff.

Myself: Do you still have a big involvement with the designing of the clothes and all the materials used?

Liam: Of course 100%.

Myself: You spoke to me in Cardiff last year about bringing out accessories like sunglasses, belts etc are these still being planned?

Liam: Yes we will be adding to the range, ie accessories.

Myself: Are there any plans to bring out accessories on the female range of Pretty Green? Personally I would definitely buy a Pretty Green Handbag?

Liam: Are you taking the piss? Handbags!!! course we are!

(I somehow think Liam was joking on this one)

Myself: You are releasing the Desert Boots later this year in a joint venture with Clarks, what did they think to the suttle changes you made to such a classic boot?

Liam: They were over the moon.

Myself: Are there any other joint ventures in the pipeline you can tell us about?

Liam: Theres lots but I cant tell you about them at the moment.

Myself: Are there still plans for a flagship Pretty Green store?

Liam: At the moment, we are looking in Manchester, London, Glasgow and Tokyo.

Myself: It's been rumoured that you plan to visit more countries to promote the upcoming range. Are these still going ahead? and can you tell us any of the countries you plan to visit?

Liam: We have just got back from Japan, and will be heading to New York this month and Europe after that.

Myself: How do you decide which designs to offer to stores? And the ones to sell exclusively on the Pretty Green website?

Liam: We sit down and talk about it, but always want to keep certain pieces back for the people who are members of Pretty Green like the green desert boot. That’s only available online.

Myself: You gave Paul Weller one of the limited edition Black Parka jackets, Has he given you any feedback on it?

Liam: He loved it, we also gave him a white one but were still waiting for the cheque in the post.

Myself: How has your website grown? Are you seeing more people purchasing online now than before?

Liam: Yeah, its growing all the time.

Myself: When will the new collection be shown to fans around the world?

Liam: March 22nd on our site.

Myself: What were the best selling items from the launch collection?

Liam: We sold out of everything.

Myself: Why didn’t you mention Noel in your speech at the Brits?

Liam: I'm sick of it all being about me and Noel, the last couple of months has pretty much been all about me and him so I thought it was only right to mention the other lads who played on the album and the best fans in the world.

Myself: What was the reason behind you throwing the Oasis award into the crowd at the Brits?

Liam: I thought it was a nice Gesture to give this to the fans, obviously it was misinterpreted as per usual.

How are the plans for the new band coming along, do you still plan to put out a album and tour this year?

Liam: Its all going really good.

Have you decided on a name for the band yet?

Liam: Not yet.

Do you have any song titles that you can tell us about?

Liam: No.

Will you play any Oasis songs when you eventually tour? Or will it all be new material?

Liam: Too fucking right! Don’t Look Back In Anger in acapella.

Roger Daltrey said in an interview that he had contacted you for the TCT but you were otherwise engaged, can we expect to see you and your new band at the Teenage Cancer Trust next year?

Liam: Without a doubt Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity close to my heart, Oasis played it a couple times and I'd like to think we can carry this on with the new band.

Do you think Manchester City can now grab a Champions League place, after the convincing win against Chelsea?

Liam: Without a doubt!

What two players would you like to see sign for City in the summer?

Liam: There’s a young lad called Harry Grant who plays for Swindon and Mario Belatelli who plays for Inter Milan.

Do you think England can win the World Cup?

Liam: Yeah!

You have worked with The Prodigy and Death in Vegas would you ever work with the Gorrilaz?

Liam: I've been told many times never to work with animals, far too dangerous.

Jay-Z said in a interview earlier this year that he would love to work with you? would you ever do something like that?

Liam: If the tunes right and its not too far out of my comfort zone, then yeah, fucking right!

Thanks to Liam for taking the time to answer the questions, the new collection from Pretty Green will go on sale on www.prettygreen.com from March 22nd.
