Zak Starkey 'Gutted' Not To Be A Part Of The Oasis Reunion

Zak Starkey has said he is ‘gutted’ and would have joined the Oasis reunion tour if he had been asked.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast this morning he said: “I texted them and said ‘why am I not in it?’. You know, if you get a new drummer, you get comfortable, don’t you? You get comfortable with new musicians and I think that’s what’s happened and I’m alright with that.”

He added that he would have joined them on tour had the offer come in. “God, yeah. Greatest rock and roll band of my generation. Greatest rock and roll singer of my generation.”

He also spoke about how the Mantra Of The Cosmos 'Domino Bones' the track was originally written by Noel Gallagher. He said “I was blown away by it - I couldn’t believe it. The greatest songwriter of my generation sending me a tune."

They are asking people all over the world if there is a particular song that has deep meaning for them. A song that tells the story of a life changing moment, a love, a loss, a heartbreak, or a break for freedom.

If you have a personal story about Oasis’ music you would be willing to share, you can send it to the filmmakers at this website - oasis-film.com.
