Robbie Williams: 'I've Always Loved Liam Gallagher'

Robbie Williams and Liam Gallagher were once sworn enemies, but age has mellowed their rivalry – at least as far as Robbie is concerned.

At the 2002 Brits, Robbie threw down the gauntlet saying: “A hundred grand of your money and a hundred grand of my money. We’ll get in a ring and we’ll have a fight.”

Meanwhile, Liam went and married Rob’s ex Nicole Appleton and branded him the “fat dancer in Take That”.

But 11 years on, Rob, 37, blogs (in annoying caps lock): “The truth is, I love Liam, always have. I think he’s an amazing singer and as a personality the world’s a better/more interesting place because he’s in it.

“Liam, if you’re listening, I’ve got nothing but respect for you.”

Hmm, I feel cheated out of a £200k fight.

Liam Gallagher And Family Out And About In New York

When he appeared in 2006 flashing the finger at photographers, there was no doubt he was a chip off the old block.

But Liam Gallagher and Nicole Appleton's son Gene was certainly more well-behaved as he arrived with his famous parents for a taping of the Late Show With David Letterman.

Wearing a navy blue and yellow T-shirt, a serious-looking Gene clutched his mother's hand as they made their way into the television studio.

Former All Saints singer Nicole looked cute in a black playsuit teamed with a star-print blazer and sky-high wedges for the family day out.

Liam Gallagher Holidaying In Sandbanks

Liam Gallagher and the Appleton sisters are staying in Sandbanks, Poole.

Former All Saints stars Natalie and Nicole popped into Fluid surf shop, in Banks Road, on Tuesday morning with their dogs.

Nicole and Oasis frontman hubby Liam are booked into the Harbour Heights, in Haven Road, with Natalie and her other half – Prodigy band member Liam Howlett.

Lisa Illingworth, from Liz Lean PR in Banks Road, said: “Someone from Fluid came running in to say they thought they’d got the Appletons in the shop.

“We went in to check it out and there they were. They had their dogs and a little girl in a pram.

“They’re on holiday here with both Liams.”

Natalie and Nicole have been embracing the beach lifestyle, buying trendy clothes from Fluid a couple of times in the last few days.

Liam Gallagher To Save Sausage Dogs

Liam Gallagher cares for man's best friend - as his latest interview proves.

The Beady Eye frontman has leapt to the defence of dachshunds - or sausage dogs as they are better known - after hearing the breed is endangered.

He and Nicole have one of the four-legged friends called Ruby and on a recent trip to Germany Liam said he would be a crusader for their cause.

He ranted: "Extinction of sausage dogs? I will prevent that! When I'm back in England I am gonna buy 900 of them. I am gonna prevent them from downfall."

Liam Gallagher Almost Showed Us His Beady Eye

Liam Gallagher 'Evades Iceland Volcano Ash Cloud By Boat

Liam Gallagher was caught up in the recent travel disruption caused by the volcanic eruption in Iceland, it has emerged.

The former Oasis singer and his family, including wife Nicole Appleton, were left stranded in America after transatlantic flights were cancelled due to the ash cloud.

But Gallagher was able to navigate his way back to Britain by taking to the seas instead.

According to Travel Weekly, the singer and his family joined guests on the recently launched six-star cruise ship, Silver Spirit, on a journey from New York.

The website stated: “Reports from the ship suggest the celebrity family enjoyed their time on board and there was none of the more disruptive behaviour Gallagher became known for during the Oasis heydays of the 1990s.”

The ash cloud, which is still causing widespread disruption to flight travel, affected a host of bands last month, including Metallica and The Cribs.

Halifax An Oasis For Liam Gallagher

Twitter was a-buzzin on Tuesday with news that Liam Gallagher, lead singer of one of Britpop’s most successful act Oasis, was spotted around Halifax shopping with his kids and wife Nicole Appleton.

The controversial rocker was enjoying a day around town during a stopover by a luxury Silversea Cruises ocean liner, popping into downtown stores like Argyle Street’s Biscuit.

Gallagher reportedly began recording his first post-Oasis material with former bandmates over the past winter and expects to release a new single in October with an album to follow in 2011.

Liam Gallagher 'Livid' With Robbie Williams

Liam Gallagher was reportedly upset when he saw his wife Nicole Appleton talking to her ex-boyfriend Robbie Williams backstage at the Brit Awards last night.

The Oasis frontman picked up the award for 'Brits Album of 30 Years' on behalf of Oasis for (What's The Story) Morning Glory? at the ceremony, while Williams won the 'Outstanding Contribution to Music' prize.

A source told The Mirror of Appleton's conversation with Williams: "Liam was livid. He was muttering and pacing around when he heard that his wife had been reunited with his former arch rival."

Gallagher and Williams have traded insults in the past, with Williams suggesting a televised fight between the pair at the 2000 Brits ceremony.

Liam Gallagher Is A Kung Fu Star

Has Liam Gallagher been mastering martial arts since Oasis went their separate ways this summer?

The notoriously grumpy singer looked trim and in good spirits as he pulled off a selection of Kung Fu moves in front of snappers at The Ivy last night.

Perhaps he was keen to show off his fancy fur shoes - baring a strikingly similar animal print pattern to that of his wife Nicole Appleton' boots.

Or perhaps Liam was sending a warning to brother Noel after he walked out on the band in August.

At least Nicole is still playing happy families.

Her sister Natalie and husband Liam Howlett were invited along for some grub.

Although the Prodigy star sadly let the group down in the footwear department.

Liam Gallagher's Son Loves Uncle's Band

Liam Gallagher's son is "obsessed" with his uncle's group The Prodigy.

Gene Gallagher - the Oasis star's eight-year-old son with wife Nicole Appleton - infuriates his parents by demanding to listen to his favourite songs by the veteran dance act, of which his uncle Liam Howlett is a member.

Howlett - who is married to Nicole's sister, Natalie Appleton - told Q magazine: "Gene does Nicole's head in, in the car on the way to school. He's always like, 'Put it on again. Put 'Thunder' on.' "

Gallagher - whose brother is his former Oasis bandmate Noel Gallagher - is supportive of Gene's interest in music.

It has previously been claimed the 'Lyla' singer - who also has a 10-year-old son, Lennon, from his marriage to actress Patsy Kensit - regularly drops into Gene's school to pass on his musical knowledge to the pupils.

A source said: "Liam's spending loads of time in the school. He does the school run in the morning and often pops in and teaches the kids some music skills.

"He's often in the music room playing on the instruments with the kids."

Liam Is Set To Stateslide Away

Liam Gallagher will be emigrating for some sunshiiiiine soon if he keeps listening to his missus Nicole Appleton.

The former All Saints singer is trying to convince him to move across the Pond.

Since Noel walked out on the band Nicole has been more aggressive with her plans.

And Liam, seen having a light ale with a pal in London yesterday, is considering a fresh start. A source said: "Nicole would move tomorrow if she had her way - or at least spend most of their time there.

"She thinks they should make the move now that OASIS are no more."

The pair discussed moving to New York a year ago. At the time Liam said: "I love that city, I love the buzz. That's the next step for me. And no, I'm not going to do acting or any of that s***. I've been offered a few things but it's not me.

"I'm just going to a place where I can be me."

I'd suggest he moves back to Manchester and near Old Trafford - then no one would blame him for being angry.

Yesterday I asked who you are backing in the Oasis break-up - and the results are in.

An incredible 88 per cent of you voted in favour of Noel, which bodes well for his future solo career.

That leaves just 12 per cent backing Liam.

Noel fled to London after quitting Oasis just before the Rock en Seine festival in Paris on Friday and hasn't been seen since.

But Liam headed to Lake Como in Italy with wife Nicole Appleton and bass player Andy Bell on Saturday and he's been looking happier than he has for a long time.

Yesterday he and Nicole were kissing and knocking back rosé next to the pool.

Louis Walsh is staying just up the road and has invited Liam to help out on The X Factor offering advice to contestants - but don't hold your breath.

Liam Gallagher Escapes To Lake Como After Oasis Split

Liam Gallagher sails away from the storm surrounding Oasis's shock split - on an impromptu holiday in Italy.

After his guitarist brother Noel stormed out on Friday, saying he could no longer work with Liam, the 36-year-old frontman flew to the swish resort of Lake Como.

Although he was snapped waving at the cameras and kissing his wife Nicole Appleton, at unguarded moments he looked glum. And no wonder - this latest spat in the Gallagher brothers' on-going feud has cost Oasis around £4.75million.

They have lost out on appearance fees and merchandise sales due to noshows at last weekend's V Festival, Friday's gig in Paris and upcoming shows in Germany and Italy.

A source close to the band said: "Liam has taken Nicole away for a few days and hopefully he can put things into perspective.

"He has been putting a brave face on things - as has Noel.

"The tension between them is still very high. And only time will tell if they can overcome their differences."

The band split on Friday amid reports that Liam smashed a guitar backstage and told Noel: "You're no brother of mine." Their fight is said to have become so violent that an ambulance was called.

Oasis had been together since 1991.

Liam Gallagher loaded up on fish and chips before jetting off on holiday.

The Oasis frontman popped into his favourite chippie in central London, The Sea Shell in Marylebone.

Hours later he bowled up at Heathrow with wife Nicole and son Lennon for a sun-shiiiine break.
