‘Columbia (Sawmills Outtake)’ Listen To It Now!

Released today, ‘Columbia (Sawmills Outtake)’ is the first previously unheard track to be revealed from the ‘Definitely Maybe’ 30th Anniversary Deluxe Editions!

‘Columbia’ was one of the first Oasis songs to be written and was originally released as a now legendary white label 12”. 

Today's release, mixed for the first time by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho, weighs in at an epic 7 minutes 18 seconds, dwarfing the 6 minutes of the album original.

On May 30th 2005 Oasis released 'Don't Believe The Truth' it was the bands sixth album. It topped the UK Album charts with 237,865 copies sold in it's first week.


The album was certified triple platinum in the UK in the first week of 2006 with sales of just over 900,000 copies.

To celebrate three decades of the iconic debut 'Definitely Maybe', new limited-edition formats will be released!

Featuring previously unheard versions from the original discarded album session at Monnow Valley and outtakes from the definitive recording at Sawmills Studios, newly mixed for the first time by Noel. 

Limited-Edition deluxe 4LP and deluxe 2CD formats plus exclusive coloured vinyl 

‘Up In The Sky’ “Learning to fly“ lyric inspired blue and white marble 2LP.

‘Digsy's Dinner’ “Strawberries and cream” lyric inspired pink and white marble 2LP.

It will also be available on limited-edition blue cassette and digital formats. 

All formats include the 2014 remastered version of the album.

On May 13th 1996, Oasis released 'Champagne Supernova' as a radio only single in the United States Of America.

It was the bands second No. 1 single on the Modern Rock Tracks chart.

The song was released as an official single in Australia the following month.

On May 13th 1998, Oasis released the 'Don't Go Away' single in Japan.

On May 11th 1996 Oasis sold 333,000 tickets in one day for the Loch Lomond and Knebworth concerts.

At one point during the day 500,000 people rang the freephone number in five minutes, tickets were selling at a rate of ten per second.



On May 11th 2001 Oasis played at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, USA.

It was the first date of 'The Tour Of Brotherly Love', called this as The Black Crowes, and Spacehog who were also on the tour had a pair of brothers in their respective bands.
