Liam: Noel Way Is Tour Doomed

Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher has hit back at big brother Noel’s claims that the band’s tour is doomed.

I told yesterday how Noel posted a gloomy blog as Oasis hit South America.

He wrote: “We speak at bad times for the tour. We are a rudderless ship. And there’s a f****** s***-storm on the horizon.”

But as his bro wallowed in misery, Liam seems to be having a ball.

He said on Twitter last night: “In Chile, Gem, Andy, Chris and J treated the lads to an impromptu gig in the bar. Amazing! Don’t know what tour you’re on R Kid.”

Judging by his web whinge and this picture of Noel, I reckon the stress of the tour is getting too much for him.

Available Now In The USA 'The Dreams We Have As Children' (Live For Teenage Cancer Trust)

A SPECIAL NOEL GALLAGHER PERFORMANCE FROM THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL TO BE RELEASED EXCLUSIVELY ON iTUNES USA MAY 5

Oasis are set to release a selection of live recordings by Noel Gallagher with Special Guests taken from a performance at the Royal Albert Hall London on March 27, 2007 in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.

‘The Dreams We Have As Children (Live for Teenage Cancer Trust)’ will be released exclusively on iTunes USA on May 5th and features classic and rare tracks from the Oasis catalogue along with several cover versions of some of Noel’s favorite artists. Songs by The Beatles and The Smiths are featured here along with a very special duet with Paul Weller performing The Jam’s classic ‘The Butterfly Collector’.

Oasis are long time supporters of Teenage Cancer Trust and are proud to continue their support. As well as Noel’s appearance with special guests in 2007, the band headlined the inaugural Concert Series in 2002. In addition Noel has made several guest appearances at TCT Benefits over the decade.

Oasis Slane Castle Line-Up Confirmed

The Promoters have today announced the final line-up for the prestigious Oasis show at Slane Castle to be held Saturday June 20. Along with the previously announced support slots by The Prodigy and Kasabian, Oasis will be joined by Glasvegas and The Blizzards.

The full line-up for the day will be:

Gates will open at 2pm.

Slane Castle - near Dublin, Ireland - only hosts one live band event a year so Oasis' headlining gig is set to be one the highlights on their forthcoming Stadium Tour which starts in Heaton Park on June 4th.

Don’t Cry For Liam, Argentina

Don't cry for Liam, Argentina – the truth is it’s his brother who’s a bit upset.

While the younger Gallagher brother was doing his best Eva Peronimpersonation on a Buenos Aires hotel balcony, Noel was in his hotel room sounding a note of doom over the future of Oasis.

Lippy Liam went shirt-free to wave at fans as the band took a break from their tour.

I’m not sure if Argentina’s famous First Lady would have approved of his unkempt appearance, but she might have liked him topless.

The actress who married the man who became president was adored by her countrymen in the 1940s and 1950s.

She campaigned for the poor and her followers were known as descamisados – the shirtless ones.
Her story was immortalised on stage and screen in Evita.

While Liam posed, poor Noel was in much more sombre mood. He wrote on his blog: “We speak at bad times for the Oasis tour.

Former Oasis guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, ex-Libertine Carl Barat, Goldie Lookin Chain's Maggot and former Creation records chief Alan McGee appear in a new comedy show that debuts online this week (beginning May 4).

The four-some appear in the new episode of 'Svengali', the online show written by Dean Cavanagh and also featuring 'Shameless' actor Jonathan Owen.

Strange atmosphere. I wouldn't mind but we're in South America! Playing massive stadiums and there's a bit too much hrmph-ing going on for my liking. Shame really.

Just back from the soundcheck at the River Plate Stadium. Sounded really good. Looking forward to it.

By the way, before I forget, that new song that appeared on your internet is called "If I Had A Gun..". It's not quite finished yet but it was quite nice to hear that someone had taped it. Been doing a few new ones lately. They sound quite epic.

Stayed up late to watch Ricky Hatton's fight last night. A fuckin' disaster. knocked out in 2 rounds. Crushed. I guess the cheque will soften the blow, but still..fuck!! Never mind, we can all help him drown his sorrows at Heaton Park.

Extra Oasis Tickets On Sale

Extra tickets for the Oasis concert at Murrayfield Stadium are to go on sale on later today.

The band will play Murrayfield on June 17, and 50,000 tickets sold out within 48 hours of going on sale in October last year.

Gig promoters have now announced the release of 5000 additional tickets which will go on sale at 10am on Monday.

Noel Gallagher Gets Himself The Latest Fashion Accessory 'A Swine Flu Mask'

Noel Gallagher is wearing a Swine Flu mask in South America while Oasis is in Peru. Not only that, he is liking it as a fashion statement.

“Anyway, got myself a pig flu mask and I must say, I quite like it,” he says at the Oasis MySpace site. “Makes one feel like a James Bond baddy. And look like an evil genius. No wonder Mike Jackson wears 'em all the time. Wonder if we should get Oasis ones knocked up for the merchandise store?”

Oasis arrived in Peru only to find hundred of fans waiting for them at the airport. They played to a sell-out crowd. “We played the national football stadium last night. 48,000 sell-out!! Outrageous. Amazing gig. Proper jumpin',” he said.

The next show for Oasis is tonight in Buenos Aires. They will also play Santiago, Rio, Sao Paulo, Curitaba and Porto Alegre before heading home for more shows in England, starting on June 4 in Manchester.

It's been a couple of days, right? Had a bit of a panic. Lost my phone. AGAIN. That's the 4th time this tour. It's leading a charmed life, let me tell you. I must thank the air hostess who found it.

Anyway, got myself a pig flu mask and I must say, I quite like it. Makes one feel like a James Bond baddy. And look like an evil genius. No wonder Mike Jackson wears 'em all the time. Wonder if we should get Oasis ones knocked up for the merchandise store?

Am currently nursing a bad head in Lima. Peru. Never know what to expect from gaffs like this. Not many people come here, see? No one that I know anyway. We played the national football stadium last night. 48,000 sell-out!! Outrageous. Amazing gig. Proper jumpin'.

Strange weather today. It's about 80* and foggy!? Hot-fog! Mad as custard. Hang on a minute..hot-fog? That sounds like a name for an early 70s prog band. And if isn't then it should be. In fact, I hereby copyright the name HOT-FOG for future use - y'know, if I ever start a dance troupe, or summat. HOT-FOG! It's fuckin' genius and you heard it here first.
