Liam Gallagher Goes On Twitter Rant About Money Grabbing 'C***s'

Someone has clearly rubbed Liam Gallagher up the wrong way.

The former Oasis frontman took to Twitter to go on an epic rant at someone who had done him wrong.

In the bizarre outburst, Liam told his followers that he was "done" with "money-grabbing c***s".

"I tell you what I might be a lot of things but I'm not a money grabbing lying 2 faced c**t as you were," he wrote.

He's since deleted the tweets

It comes as a filmaker close to Liam and his brother, Noel Gallagher, suggested that an Oasis reunion is inevitable.

However, that could be an issue considering since 2009 the siblings have not spoken or been in the same room .

Matt, 39, said: “The tricky thing is, the more people put pressure on them, the less likely it is to happen.

“But the way Noel talks about the fans at the end of the film is something he comes back to again and again.

"He’s very generous about their contribution, and I think he would do it for (the fans).

“Noel has never said no, but he makes jokes about it. Liam says, ‘Come on, let’s get back on the road!’ He’s keen to do it," he added.

Another On This Day In Oasis History...

"I'm Outta Time" is a song by English rock band Oasis, featured on their seventh studio album, Dig Out Your Soul. The second single from the album, succeeding "The Shock of the Lightning", "I'm Outta Time" was written by lead vocalist Liam Gallagher and released on 1 December 2008.

Composition

The song bears similarity, in style, to John Lennon's work in the early 1970s. The piano which features on the track partly emulates that of Lennon's "Jealous Guy", with the three octave jumps in C major. The song also has a backing piano part similar in content to that of The Beatles' "A Day in the Life", which also contains a three octave jump in C major. Liam jokingly claims that it took him nine years to write the song. However, in a different interview Liam Gallagher claimed that he wrote the song "While sitting on the end of my bed".

The song features a short speech sample from John Lennon taken from one of his last interviews in 1980. The speech sample says: "As Churchill said, it's every Englishman's inalienable right to live where the hell he likes. What's it going to do, vanish? Is it not going to be there when I get back?".

Reception

The song has been noted as one of the highlights of the album by fans, as well as the band themselves, with guitarist Noel Gallagher labelling it "deceptively brilliant". It has also been praised by music critics, with NME calling it a return to form, and comparing it to the music of Oasis-admired rock band The Beatles.

It charted at number 12 in the UK Singles Chart – the first Oasis single to miss the top ten since 1994, ending the band's streak of 22 consecutive top tens. It spent only two weeks in the UK top 75, the least ever by any Oasis single. Although only peaking at number 48 in France, the song spent a total of 28 weeks in the French Singles Chart, the most ever by any Oasis single.

Music video

The music video for "I'm Outta Time" was released in November 2008. Filmed in black and white, it shows Liam Gallagher, the only band member to appear in the clip, on a "surreal journey through a moon-lit English landscape". Directed by W.I.Z., it was filmed around Bourton-on-the-Water. At the end of the video, Liam is filmed in a close-up profile shot lying down. This bears resemblance to the back cover artwork for John Lennon's album Imagine. It also resembles the cover of Lennon's 1973 album Mind Games.

Covers

The song was covered by singer Lily Allen on BBC's Live Lounge on 2 December 2009.

Noel Gallagher’s “Ridiculous” Suggestion Influenced Jet Member's New Band

There doesn’t seem to be a filter when it comes to the creative and scandalous outbursts of Noel Gallagher, which is why he so often produces entertaining and lasting content; the likes of which has influenced the new band from Jet drummer Chris Cester.

With the band’s classic Get Born and Shine On records reissued ahead of a massive stint supporting Bruce Springsteen next year, Jet are well and truly back in action, but that’s not to say they haven’t been busy since disbanding in 2011.

Speaking with The Music’s Bryget Chrisfield, Cester gave insight into how Damndogs – formed in LA with fellow Jet members Louis Macklin and Mark Wilson and cousin Mitch McIvor in the wake of Jet’s hiatus – morphed into a new project that was named by Gallagher.

“When Mark left the band, Louis and I decided to keep going but we renamed – we changed – it because the music had changed a lot as well,” Cester said.

“I [texted] Noel Gallagher at one point and asked him if he could give us a new band name. And he said Mystic Knights Of Amnesia, which we both thought was ridiculous.

“But then we were like, ‘Actually, it’s so ridiculous it could be awesome!’ And it suits the music, too, which is just really off the wall. Our first song, our first release, is gonna probably be around nine minutes long, but not a boring nine minutes.”

After racking up a lot of airplay with Get Born and Shine On, Cester’s acutely aware that “nobody’s gonna be playing a nine-minute song” on the radio. “I gave up on the radio a long time ago,” he admits. “I think you’ve gotta sort of just play your own game, you know?”

You can listen to instrumental versions of Mystic Knights Of Amnesia’s new fuzz, jam masterpieces via their website.
