"Hopefully I will get some music out next year".

"I've done a couple of new tracks and it sounds a bit Seventies disco, I've got to say. I'm going to South America on Saturday for a couple of weeks on tour. Then when I get back I will be going back to the studio widdling and noodling at Abbey Road".

Noel Gallagher Hopes To Release His Next Album Next Year

Noel Gallagher has said he's been recording at Abbey Road Studios in London in recent weeks and that he would continue work on the follow up to 'Who Built The Moon?' with David Holmes after his current tour ends.

When asked about the sound of the songs written so far he said "70s disco" and "like the beginning of the world".

He added that he hopes to release the album next year.

Some other quotes from last nights Q&A are below.

“No one’s ever going to make an interesting album about being a rockstar living on Primrose Hill,”

“There’s only so many times you can write a song about the rain or use the word ‘shine’, and I’ve got away with it a fucking shitload. I’ve used the chords from ‘Wonderwall’ six times, and let me tell you – it’s not drying up yet.”

Noel Gallagher On His Live Band, Oasis, Liam And More

Some quotes from Noel Gallagher's Q&A last night in London.

“Sometimes you do get a bit jaded about what you do. Sometimes you kind of treat it as a job, but on this tour it’s been fucking great. It’s like, ‘I am amazing, fucking hell’.”

“There were three or four phases of Oasis. The first phase was like ’94-’96 – that was just the huge explosion, but we were so young I didn’t really think about any of it. You just knew that the next thing was going to be bigger than the last thing. Then it was like ’96-’98 where it was just hugeness all over the place, then ’98-mid-2000s we kind of just levelled off and then it started to fall apart a bit. But this is completely different".

“I’ve often said to people in my band, ‘None of us here are the best in the world at anything’, do you know what I mean? We’re a group, we make this noise and people love it. From my own part in it, I’m not the best singer, I’m not the best guitarist, but I’m the best in the fucking world at being me. All these people pay to be me, so it’s fucking easy.”

“There were just these kids with their dads, all of them dressed head to toe in Pretty Green. All of them in the fucking field. I was saying to my mum, ‘What the fuck does he want to get Oasis back together for? He must be fucking loaded’.”
