It's being reported that Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will tour North America with The Smashing Pumpkins this summer.

Alternative Nation report that the tour will be officially announced on Monday.

They are set to play at The Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, Maryland on August 17, 2019 with AFI opening.

No other dates are being reported at the moment.

On February 28th 2000 Oasis released the 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants' album.

The album topped the charts in the UK, Ireland and in Italy.

Noel Gallagher saw the quote on the side of a £2 coin while in a pub. He then wrote the name on the side of a cigarette packet while drunk and when he awoke in the morning, he realised he had written “Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants” and used it.



On February 28th 2009 Oasis appeared on Wetten Dass in Germany.

Taken from The Who's Official website, for those of you unfamiliar with Dave Sardy he worked with Oasis on 'Don't Believe The Truth' and 'Dig Out Your Soul.

He also worked on the self titled album from Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

Dave Sardy our producer went back to LA for a while to work with Noel Gallagher, but he’s back on Monday. “The Who” (that’s me and my guitar basically, with Roger waiting for some working tracks, Zak standing by to help with drums) go back into the recording studio, a different venue this time – more on that later.
