Liam Gallagher Has Recorded Three Songs To Be Broadcast On 'Later... With Jools Holland'

Liam Gallagher took to his Twitter account this morning to inform his followers that yesterday he recorded three songs to be broadcast on the new series of 'Later... With Jools Holland'.

It's not known when it will be broadcast yet, as soon as I find the details I will post them.

On This Day In Oasis History...

Oasis' '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?' was released on October 2nd 1995.

The Daily Mirror reported the day after release that central London HMV stores were selling copies of the album at a rate of two per minute.

On February 16th 2010, Oasis' album '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' won the award for the best album of the past 30 years at the Brit Awards ceremony at Earl's Court in London.

Oasis' (What's The Story) Morning Glory? was easily the biggest selling album in the UK in the 1990s. It was comfortably ahead of Simply Red 'Stars 'and The Spice Girls 'Spice.

At the end of the first week of sales, the album had sold a record-breaking 347,000 copies, making it (at the time) the second-fastest-selling album in British history, behind Michael Jackson's Bad.

It entered the UK charts at number 1, it stayed around the top three for the rest of the year before a 6-week stay at the top in mid January, followed by a further three weeks at number 1 in March.

In total, the album didn't leave the top three for an astonishing seven months



On October 2nd 1995 Oasis played at the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool, England.

On October 1st 2002 Oasis played at the Kokusai Center in Fukuoka, Japan.

Liam left the stage after 'Morning Glory' due to his voice, Noel stepped in and finished off the remainder of the set.

On September 30th 1995 Oasis filmed the video for Wonderwall in London, England.

The video is easily the most viewed by the band on YouTube with 250,496,326 views at the time of posting.

On September 30th 2014, Oasis released the second album from the 'Chasing The Sun' series '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?'

The album was completely remastered and featured B sides, plus unreleased and rare tracks including demos and live recordings.

On September 29th 1994 Oasis played at the The Whiskey (A Go Go) in Los Angeles, USA after taking crystal meth.
