Liverpool Fans Are ‘Terrible Winners’ Says Noel Gallagher

Noel Gallagher has ripped into Liverpool supporters in an exclusive interview with talkSPORT, branding them ‘worse losers but terrible winners’.

The former Oasis superstar and huge Man City fan was at Wembley on Sunday to watch his beloved team win their third consecutive Carabao Cup with a 2-1 defeat of Aston Villa.

Sergio Aguero and Rodri scored for Pep Guardiola’s side to put City in control, but Mbwana Samatta’s header shortly before half-time gave Villa hope of an upset.

The setlist included songs from his debut album and a number of Oasis classics.



On February 28th 2015 Noel Gallagher played this version of 'The Dying Of The Light' at RTÉ in Dublin, Ireland.

It was also the session that 'Dead In The Water' was recorded.

On This Day In Oasis History...

On February 28th 2000 Oasis released the 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants' album.

The album topped the charts in the UK, Ireland and in Italy.

Noel Gallagher saw the quote on the side of a £2 coin while in a pub. He then wrote the name on the side of a cigarette packet while drunk and when he awoke in the morning, he realised he had written “Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants” and used it.

Blast From The Past: Beady Eye

On February 28th 2011 Beady Eye released their debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding'.

The album entered the UK Album Chart at number three, and to date has spent nineteen weeks on the chart.

50 years ago, deep in the Welsh countryside, two brothers were milking cows and preparing to take over the family farm - but dreamed of making music. They had the audacious idea to build a studio in their farmhouse attic and record their own tunes. Animals were kicked out of barns and musicians were moved into Nan’s spare bedroom. Inadvertently, they’d launched the legendary Rockfield studios.
