Lars Ulrich On His Favourite Songwriter Of All Time Noel Gallagher
Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich is the latest person to take part in Classic Rock’ Magazine’s The Soundtrack Of My Life feature, and he has nominated former Noel Gallagher as his favourite songwriter of all time.
He said “The hardest thing in the world – trust me, we know this first hand – is to write a simple song,” says Ulrich. “And the shorter and simpler, the harder it is. Those great Oasis songs – Wonderwall, Live Forever, Supersonic – if you hear Noel do them by himself, just guitar and voice, it’s pretty incredible what those songs break down to when you’re that naked and that vulnerable.”

Remember that chaotic two fucking weeks where the virus and the demonstrations kicked off, it was a fucking crazy two weeks, it was right in the middle of that … It’s coming out soon, actually.”
Dizzee Rascal confirmed tot he Daily Star it's with him: “I’ve already started on my next album, I’ve got a little something with Noel Gallagher. Right now, it’s being mixed. That’s one name. I’m just experimenting, I’ve bought a bunch of new keyboards, a bunch of new hardware and I’m just experimenting with stuff, I’ve recorded a few bits.”
