Oasis – 'Definitely Maybe' - Noel Gallagher In Conversation With John Robb

In a brand new 30 minute interview, Noel Gallagher returns to Manchester’s legendary Sifters Records to tell the story of Oasis’ iconic debut album 'Definitely Maybe'. 

The film is released as the album approaches its landmark 30th anniversary on August 29th, followed by the release of deluxe editions of 'Definitely Maybe' including previously unheard and abandoned versions from the original recording session at Monnow Valley Studios and outtakes from the definitive album sessions at Sawmills Studios in Cornwall, both recently mixed by Noel for the first time.

On August 22nd 1995 Oasis played at Club Chitta in Tokyo, Japan.

On August 22nd 2005, Oasis released 'The Importance Of Being Idle' single.

It was the bands eighth and final single to top the UK Official Singles Chart.

The video is based on the film and play Billy Liar with Rhys Ifans playing the role of Billy. The Gallagher's play Shadrack & Duxbury, the owners of the funeral parlour where Billy works.

On August 22nd 2009 Oasis played their final gig at the V Festival in Stafford, England.

The band would split up later in the month in Paris.

Tony McCarroll on being in the crowd for Oasis' last ever gig at the V Festival on August 22nd 2009.

"There are only two people in the world who attended Oasis’ first and last gigs. That’s Liam and my good self! I reckon that will make a great question in a pub quiz!"

The band treated fans who were at the shoot to a free gig, listen to a bootleg of it below.

On August 21st 1997 Oasis released 'Be Here Now'

Despite being released on a Thursday the album racked up sales of over 695,000 and debuted at Number One on the Official UK Album charts from just three days of sales.

It took 17 days for the album to sell a million copies.
