Noel Gallagher 'Banging Out Tunes' In LA Studio

You Me At Six singer says his band are working in same studio as Gallagher.

Noel Gallagher is working on new material in Los Angeles, according to You Me At Six singer Josh Franceschi.

Last night (March 23) Franceschi wrote on Twitter.com/joshmeatsix that the ex-Oasis man was working in the same studio as his band.

"Can hear Noel from Oasis blasting his new tunes from the studio next door," he wrote. "Absolutely mental."

The Surrey quintet are currently recording their third album in the US city.

Last month Gallagher claimed that he hadn't started work on his solo album yet. His brother Liam, now fronting Beady Eye, said he reckoned that he had, though.

Also last November Miles Kane said he'd been working with Noel on his first post-Oasis solo album.

Liam Gallagher Is Teacup-Total

Liam Gallagher's rider requests have changed over the years.

It used to be Red Stripe and decent crisps. On the current Beady Eye tour frontman Liam is firmly on the wagon - so it's honey, a few lemons and some fine china all the way.

He takes his teacup to the Reading and Leeds festivals this summer. But he said: "At the moment we're all bang into the little gigs."

Of the bigger shows, he added: "When the time comes, I'll fit back into that dress."

Gerard Way Really Wants To See Beady Eye Live

My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way was devastated when he found out the schedule for the Reading and Leeds festival - because his band's headline slot means he will miss out on watching Beady Eye's highly-anticipated performance.

The Welcome to the Black Parade hitmakers are one of the bands topping the bill at the double-venue event this summer (Aug11), and they will play in the main arena while Liam Gallagher's new band will perform at the same time on a separate stage.

Way admits he's overjoyed to be headlining the festival, but regrets he won't be able to see the former Oasis rocker play.

He tells NME magazine, "I really wanna see (Beady Eye play). That's quite a bummer. But that happens a lot... I would definitely love to have gotten to see Beady Eye... I'm a huge fan of (Liam), a fan of his brother and of Oasis, so I think it'll be fine. I think it'll be good."
