On August 29th 1994 Oasis released their debut album 'Definitely Maybe'.

It became the UK's fastest-selling debut album of all time, with 86,000 copies shifted in the first week alone – a record the band held until 2006.



On August 29th 1995 Oasis played the seventh and final date of their tour of Japan at the Imperial Hall in Osaka, Japan.

Noel Gallagher told the crowd yesterday at his gig at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in San Diego, USA that that he wants to start a petition to get the Foo Fighters to split up.

The comment came after Dave Grohl told the crowd at the Reading Festival on Sunday that he wants to start a petition to get Oasis to reform.

A New Oasis Exhibition Opens In London In November

Memorabilia and  ever before seen images of Oasis are to go on display in a exhibition held in Londonin November.

The memories were captured by music photographer Michael Spencer Jones.

Speaking about the exhibition he said: “I hope this exhibition gives fans a chance to pause and reflect and look back upon a time when the face and image of Britain was being revolutionised from below.”

Michael Berg, of H Club where the exhibition is being held said “It’s difficult to imagine Definitely Maybe without seeing a spinning globe in a living room; Be Here Now without a Rolls Royce in a swimming pool or Wonderwall without a girl in a picture frame.”

The exhibition will take place at The Archivist’s Gallery and H Club and will run from November 23rd until January 12th 2020 at 24 Endell St, London WC2H 9HQ​.

Liam Gallagher On Oasis Splitting Up In Paris 10 Years Ago Today

Liam Gallagher spoke to Radio X DJ Chris Moyles earlier today and was asked if he was aware that it was the 10th anniversary of Oasis‘ break-up in Paris.

He said “I know. Shame on him [Noel]. I wonder where he is in the world. I bet he’s hiding in a cupboard somewhere in a really dark room.”

He added “I can’t believe it, mate. All was good in the world back then. Ten years ago, all was good in the world, and now it’s all went, you know… But I think we’re doing alright again, so it’s all good in the world, These things are meant to happen. These things are meant to try us, and what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, as Taylor Swift says.”
