Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds 'A New World Blazing' Exhibition Opens In Manchester Tomorrow

“Exclusive exhibition documenting life on the road with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds arrives in Manchester”.

RedHouse Originals Gallery is excited to announce the Manchester launch of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds: A New World Blazing; an exhibition offering an exclusive glimpse of life on the road with one of the world's most successful artists, as documented by renowned photographer Sharon Latham. This is the first time the full collection will be on public display, with artworks available to view and purchase from 19th - 28th November, at 11 Police Street, Manchester.

Noel: “Down the years I’ve been lucky enough to work with some of the best photographers in the world and I would put Sharon right up there. At its best a photograph should speak. What are the pictures saying? They are saying:We - NGHFB - have the best job in the world. To work, play, travel and party with these people is an absolute pleasure. I’m so happy that Big Shaz was there to capture these moments.”

A New World Blazing is a celebration of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, from behind the scenes to front of stage, capturing the band at their most dynamic, and their most intimate. It is the first ever exhibition to document the band and features 50 images captured by Sharon Latham - all fully endorsed by Noel himself.

Sharon first came to prominence in 2010 as the first female official Premier League club photographer for Manchester City. It was their shared passion for football that ignited a friendship with Noel, and led to unprecedented access to the band over a period of five years.

Sharon: “The first interview that Pep Guardiola ever did was with Noel, and that was my last shoot before I left the club. I put my foot in the water and asked to go on a few gigs with Noel on tour and he said ‘Yeah, Shaz - no problem’. When the 2016 tour started I asked if I could shoot a couple of gigs, he said ‘Yeah, come to America’. I was only supposed to be there for two weeks and it turned into five years.”

The exhibition is open for ten days only between 19th - 28th November, 10:30 - 18:30 daily, at RedHouse Gallery Pop Up, 11 Police Street, Manchester M2 7LQ.

Video: Noel Gallagher, Gem Archer And Zak Starkey Attend Preview Screening Of 'The Beatles: Get Back'

Noel Gallagher, Gem Archer and Zak Starkey were present at a special preview screening of Peter Jackson's new three-part documentary on The Beatles.

Below are some quotes from Noel.

“They influenced everybody who influenced everybody else, who influenced everybody that came and went, Their influence is absolute. I don’t know a single guy playing the guitar or writing songs that wouldn’t cite the Beatles as an influence. And if he doesn’t, he’s undoubtedly going to be shit.”

Asked if they remained an influence to him still, he replied: “Of course.

“When Oasis started, we were so big we were compared to them size-wise and musically, embarrassingly, compared to them as well.“(It’s embarrassing) because we weren’t as good as them. They mean everything to me. They’ve definitely got the best tunes… hands down. In my record collection they’ve got the greatest tunes by far.”
