Bonehead Finds The Words With Radio X And Macmillan Cancer Support

It’s time to talk. And no, sorry - not about your fantasy football team or Erling Haaland’s shockingly perfect man bun. It’s time to talk about the serious stuff. Did you know that in the UK, 52% of cancer cases are in males and over 200,000 men are diagnosed in the UK every year*?

Whatever questions you need to ask, Macmillan have experts who can offer advice or help on their support line[SW1] . And their online community is home to 70,000 members who understand what it’s like to have cancer and can offer 24 hours support in a safe environment.

We know it’s not easy to talk about cancer. But it could help. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Macmillan to help you find the words.

*Macmillan Cancer Support estimated that there were a total of 392,697 new recorded cases of all cancers (excluding non-melanoma skin cancer), of which 202,910 in men and 189,787 in women, for 2019 in the UK, by combining published figures from NHS Digital, Northern Ireland Cancer Registry, Public Health Scotland and Welsh Cancer Intelligence and Surveillance Unit (WCISU).
