Roy Keane
Speaking on the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show on Today FM this morning, the 47-year-old rocker admitted that he won't be buying a copy of Keane's autobiography 'The Second Half' but has enjoyed his treatment of former manager Alex Ferguson.
"I don’t really read footballers books because they are essentially all telling the same story," he said.
"I’ve liked reading the excerpts from Roy Keane’s book particularly him slagging of (Alex) Ferguson who might be one of the most hateful people I’ve ever come across. I’ve enjoyed that.
"I love Roy Keane. I actually liked him when he was at United but then he signed for Celtic... I’ve never met him and I wouldn’t mind meeting him and shake his hand while standing back a little bit in case he head-butted you."
Gallagher hopes that Keane one day takes over as Manchester United manager but not to see him turn things around at Old Trafford... quite the opposite.
"As a character I think he’s great, I hope one day he takes over United and runs it into the ground... turns it into a supermarket," he added.

Oasis
One Direction
Liam Gallagher has told Channel 5 News that he wants Oasis to reform next year to mark 20 years since the band formed.
Asked what his reaction would be if brother Noel approached him about a reunion, he said: “I’d say bring it on, let’s do it.”
He added: “Me and him have not spoken since 2009 so who knows? If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.
“I’ll do it if people want to do it."
The Beady Eye frontman appears to have curbed his wild side: he jogs (“I’m chilled when I’m running”), gets up at 6am and makes sure his children – aged 11 and 13 - don’t swear.
“I hope they turn up well and they are, they’re good polite kids. They’re not what you’d think.
“They’re nice, well educated kids. Obviously I’ve got a foul tongue but I’ve never heard them swear once. I’m proud that they’re not like me.”
Gallagher, who appeared on The Voice recently, seems less angry in general – even about reality TV.
“It’s an opportunity for people to go and do something," he told Minnie Stephenson.
"You can’t knock that. It’s the whole crap around it – we don’t give them a chance.
“If they don’t light up the world on the first album they’re banished to the Tower of London, you never see them again.”
Gallagher is one of Manchester City's most famous fans and he was “made up” about Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure from Man United.
“Obviously I wish it’d come a lot sooner, like 19 years ago. I respect Ferguson, he’s a top manager.
"The world of football has definitely changed since he’s gone. It’s an end of an era.”
He also had praise for Justin Bieber, saying: “I like him, I think he’s pretty talented.
"They turned him into this mad pop madhead [but] he’s a talented musician.”

Liam Gallagher

A jubilant Liam Gallagher stormed Manchester City's press conference tonight, exclaiming, "Top of the league? How about that?"
The Oasis singer and City fan then took a tongue-in-cheek swipe at United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Addressing a room of reporters, he said:
"Fergie? On the whiskey too much!"
Gallagher also met Argentina legend Diego Maradona, who is father-in-law to City striker Sergio Aguero.
He tweeted: "Maradona shakes the hand of God ! http://t.co/GfFxdvYi"
The exuberant outburst followed a tense 1-0 victory for the Sky Blues, putting them in pole position to win the Premier League title.
The pop star had been the guest of City captain Vincent Kompany, who scored the game's only goal.
Gallagher said:
"He invited me to his box, scored a blinder. His family's mega, his sister's cool. Nice one bro'. Vive le Belgium."
Before the game, Gallagher predicted a City victory would see them lifting the Premier League trophy in a couple of weeks:

Roberto Mancini

Legendary Man City fan gives us his verdict on an amazing season for the north-west giants in an exclusive interview with Andy and Jason.
Gallagher insists City have come "super close" to winning the Premier League, but admits it may have been his team's best chance given that he expects their rivals to strengthen in the summer.
He also believes Roberto Mancini will stay at Eastlands - unless Jose Mourinho decides to leave Real Madrid - and says Mario Balotelli shouldn't take all the blame for City's failings.
And, credit where credit's due, he pays tribute to Sir Alex Ferguson and Paul Scholes, claiming those two have been among the key factors in the title race.

Roberto Mancini

Manchester City fan Noel Gallagher has admitted he hates Manchester United but still reckons they will win their 20th title this season.
Gallagher, 44, told French channel Canal Plus that he detests arch-rivals United, their ground and boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
But despite City being two points in front of United going into today’s big city derby, Gallagher does not think Roberto Mancini’s side can lift the title this term.
Talking about his loathing of the Red Devils, the former Oasis star said: “I hate them and cannot stand them, their ground or their manager.
“It’s a hatred that steadily grows. I hate them more than yesterday.”
Despite the fact City are nip and tuck in the race for the Premier League, Gallagher does not think the trophy will be heading to the Etihad Stadium this season.
He said: “I want a draw in the match at Old Trafford because if we win the press will elect us as champions already and that brings all kinds of pressure.
“We won’t win the title, we’ll finish second, but next year, yeah.”

Roberto Mancini

Liam Gallagher has given the thumbs-up to Roberto Mancini's old-school scarf and claims Sir Alex Ferguson looks like a 'dustbin-man' in comparison.
Gallagher - who has launched his own Pretty Green clothing range - told Football365: "The scarf is cool. I want one myself so I might go and get myself one.
"Mancini looks good but then, all Italians are cool. He's certainly cooler than that Taggart from across the road - he's a top manager and all that but he looks like a dustbin-man."
The admiration is obviously mutual as Mancini quoted an Oasis song - Don't Look Back In Anger - in the build-up to the big Manchester derby with United at Old Trafford.
Gallagher will not be at United's ground to cheer on his beloved team, saying: "I wouldn't step foot in that place. I've never been and I don't want to go - it's not for me. Anyway, I don't think I'd get a good reception.
"I'll be watching it at home on the box - it's the biggest game ever for me. I can't wait - it's going to be top. I'm absolutely loving all the aggro - that's what derbies are about. It's been missing from the game a long time and I'm loving it.
"I'm absolutely buzzing off Carlos Tevez at the moment, and I'm buzzing off Craig Bellamy too. Actually, I'm buzzing off the whole lot of them. It's now or f***ing never for City. I'm really confident - 2-0 to City on the night."
So would even Tevez look good in Pretty Green gear? "It would be a challenge, but it's not all about looking good all the time, is it? Everyone would look good in Pretty Green clothes. Some of it's alright and it's getting better all the time."
