Noel Gallagher was chosen to join super group Youth Of The Apocalypse, formed of ex members of Gorillaz and the Klaxons at their secret gig in London last night.

He was joined by his wife Sara and daughter Anais, as he proudly took to the stage at XOYO for a one-off performance with the band.

Liam Gallagher's Sons Are "Fighting" Over Who Should Play Him In A Film

Liam Gallagher's sons are "fighting" over who should play him in the Alan McGee biopic.

The 56-year-old businessman McGee famously signed the 'Supersonic' rockers to his Creation Records label after seeing them perform one gig at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1993.

Speaking to The Observer, Liam said: "Someone's doing that at the moment apparently. Well, maybe not a drama, but someone's doing a film on McGee and Creation Records and they've asked if Lennon, my son, would play me in two scenes.

"One at the London venue Water Rats and one at a party at Noel's. He's not up for it. I said 'why aren't you, you little s**t, you said you were up for acting?'

"So now, the other one, the 15-year-old [Gene] he's going to do it, he's going 'I'll do it, dad'. They're having a bit of a fight about who's going to do it. Then get Noel's daughter Anais as Noel. And who can plan Alan McGee? Louis Walsh."

Anais Gallagher Talks About What It's Like To Have Noel As Her Dad

Anaïs Gallagher, daughter of Noel Gallagher, has said that she almost cries when she watches him perform live.

Model Anaïs, 17, recently spoke to the Evening Standard, describing what it’s like having the former Oasis guitarist as a father, saying: “He doesn’t give a fuck about what anybody thinks of him or says of him, and will always say what’s on his mind and I admire him so much for that.”

“People are like: ‘What’s it like having a famous dad and being in the spotlight?’ It’s all I’ve known. Do I remember when [Oasis] played Wembley Stadium? My only memory was getting really upset that they didn’t put any Cadbury Chocolate Buttons in the dressing room.”

She added: “It’s only now, as I’ve got older and understand the scale of things, that I almost tear up seeing my dad play on stage. Now, I go and see my dad and pop over to his studio and say, ‘I’m so proud of you’. But when I was younger I was literally like: ‘It’s so embarrassing, dad. Stop singing.'”

Anaïs went on to credit her music taste to her father: “My taste is identical to my dad’s. I’m a diehard David Bowie fan. I love The Beatles, I love The Smiths, my dad’s music… anything that’s made with real instruments. I don’t listen to anything that’s on the radio and I doubt that anything on a playlist of mine is from the last 20 years. My knowledge of music has always been good because I think my dad would disown me if it wasn’t. What I take from my dad is my taste in music, his sense of humour, his no-bullshit kind of attitude, and then from my mum I take her energy and positive outlook on life. She’s high as a kite all the time — not in that way, obviously”.

She also explains the troubles of having famous parents: “It’s very hard trying to find your own way, dealing with people saying you’re only doing it because of your parents. I’ve had stuff written about me since the moment I was born. When I was younger, I’d never done anything to deserve the amount of attention that I got. It’s not like I was a singer or had any significant talent. It was just because I was the child of my dad. So I have to respect that, in a way. I can’t do anything too crazy or say anything too crazy because it’s going to reflect back onto my dad. I don’t want to speak my mind too much.”

“I wouldn’t want people thinking he’s a really bad parent, because he’s not — he’s a really good parent. But that’s [not] how the media would portray it. So you have to be careful. People think there’s this huge team around me telling me what to say. Trust me, there’s not. I get told off quite a lot for speaking my mind too much on social media.”

Noel Gallagher On Losing His Phone In A Taxi

The former Oasis star panicked after realising he had left his mobile in a taxi after Wednesday’s BRIT Awards.

And its contents could land him in trouble.

Arriving at the Sony after party, Noel said: “I’ve lost my f****ing phone, I have tried calling it and it’s actually gone. I have no idea where it is!

“I better find it because of all the f****ing porn on it, don’t want that to get out and splashed everywhere. I can’t have that out, it will ruin my image of being an innocent, wholesome pop star.”

Noel innocent? Ha!

The rocker then made a not-too-subtle reference to the recent expose of David Beckham’s emails, revealing his desperation to become a Sir.

Noel quipped: “I can kiss goodbye to my knighthood, that won’t happen after someone picks up my phone.”

Becks obviously has Noel’s full support as later he partied with his eldest son Brooklyn, left, who is nursing a broken collarbone.

Still on the lemonade – well he is 17 – Brooklyn is close pals with his daughter Anais but Noel keeps an eye on him.

Noel also partied with Simon Cowell, who once offered him £2million to become a judge on The X Factor.

Things could have been awkward when the guitarist bumped into Ed Sheeran at the Warner party later, after criticising his brand of “polished pop”.

But, instead, the duo shared a Ciroc Vodka together.

After all Anais is a fan of Ed too!

Noel Gallagher Hates The Idea Of His Daughter Dating Boys

Noel Gallagher has never been shy of giving his opinion on, well anything. But it seems there’s one topic he’d rather keep left alone.

His daughter Anais Gallagher has been off partying with David Beckham’s sprog, Brooklyn for his 17th birthday and the aspiring model opened up about dad’s stance on her dating.

Speaking to The Sun she said: "My dad has never given me the birds and the bees chat and doesn't talk to me about boys. He's always, 'I don't want to talk about it'. I remember when me and my stepmum would be talking about boys and he would be like, 'Stop'. He just doesn't want to know."

The 16 year old who ran the Brit Awards Instagram account during the ceremony last month explained that her parents would prefer it if she found a job out of the limelight.

She explained: "My dad would have preferred me not to do anything in the spotlight and have a normal job. My parents are supportive but they have definitely got different ways of tackling parenting.

"It's not their first choice for me but my dad definitely wouldn't want me to go into music. If you have ever heard me sing or play an instrument you would appreciate that."

Although he shies away from chatting about boys, apparently Noel is quite the history buff and Anais’ first port of call when she’s stuck on her homework.

Speaking to The Mirror Anais said: “My dad is really into World War 1 and 2. He is the most crazy history fanatic – he knows everything.”

Noel Gallagher's X Factor Snub Sparks Row With Daughter!

Noel Gallagher reckons his daughter will never forgive him for turning down a judging spot on The X Factor.

He gave Simon Cowell the middle finger when he was offered a role on the ITV show four years ago.

But his daughter Anais is still fuming.

Noel revealed: “She’s furious every week that it’s on.

“She tut tuts at the screen saying, ‘That could’ve been you slagging them off’. I’ll never be forgiven.”

Noel was out announcing details of Chasing Yesterday, his second solo album with his High Flying Birds, at Facebook HQ.

But fans were still wondering when an Oasis reunion with his brother Liam might take place.

“What reunion?” The Manchester legend dead-panned.

“You all seem to know more than I do.”

His eclectic new album, out March 2, has been described as “space jazz” and even has “a couple of disco tracks”.

But it’s Lock All The Doors that will please Oasis fans the most, as it’s been hanging around for decades.

Noel explained: “I gave a bit to Chemical Brothers in the 90s for Setting Sun. I kept meaning to finish it, I kept the chorus.

“Then one day I came out of Tesco Maida Vale where I live and it came to me. I’d had the chorus since 1993, it was f***ing brilliant and I never gave up on it.”

High Flying Birds tour dates have just been announced, kicking off in Belfast March 3, and Noel is contemplating Glastonbury too.

“I’ll be up for doing it,” he said. “I’d headline the spoken word tent, I was there three days this year and I didn’t see one f***ing band. It was great.”

First single In The Heat Of The Moment drops November 17.

Tour tickets go on sale this Friday.

Noel Gallagher Has Been Offered £2m To Judge The X Factor

X Factor bosses have approached Noel Gallagher for the second time with a “name your price” offer to join the judging panel.

The former Oasis guitarist, 45, has been on Simon Cowell’s wish list for the hit ITV talent show for years.

And in the past fortnight Noel’s management company Ignition received a fresh megabucks offer — asking him to name a price around the £2million mark.

A source said last night: “Simon is determined to get Noel on board. He sees him as his natural replacement as the real alpha male on the panel.

“He thinks Noel would be ideal, with his music knowledge, straight-talking and rapier wit.”

The last time Simon, 53, made a seven-figure offer to the award-winning rock star he was knocked back.

The married dad-of-three was about to launch his critically acclaimed solo project, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

He has just finished touring and is now planning to make “going to the dry-cleaners last a day”.

The source added: “Noel’s daughter Anais is a huge fan of One Direction and X Factor, so she’ll be nagging him to say yes.”

Noel was first approached by Simon in 2011. The rock star told him he wouldn’t like to say lines like, “You know I can only take three into the final, and this is the toughest decision I’ve ever had to make. I left Oasis, but that was nothing compared to this”.

Take That star Gary Barlow is expected to return with Nicole Scherzinger. Sharon Osbourne is also in talks with bosses undecided on Louis Walsh.

Uncle Liam Gallagher Celebrates Nieces 13th Birthday In Style

He famously has a very tumultuous relationship with his brother and Oasis bandmate Noel Gallagher.

But it seems Liam Gallagher is happy to put any animosity between the pair behind him for the sake of Noel’s daughter Anais.

The famous musician was spotted taking his niece and her mother Meg Mathews for lunch on Sunday to help her celebrate her 13th birthday.

The unlikely dinner companions were joined by Liam’s wife Nicole Appleton, their son Gene and Liam’s eldest son Lennon Francis from his first marriage with Patsy Kensit.

Noel Gallagher didn't appear to be have joined them for the family occasion.

The group, which also seemed to include two of the birthday girl’s friends, happily posed for pictures outside Lemonia, a family-run Greek restaurant in Primrose Hill.

Liam’s two sons both opted for bright coloured trousers to help their cousin see in her birthday, while the rest of the family opted for rock ‘n’ roll inspired outfits.

Meg, who split from Noel over a decade ago, was the only member of the group who wore light colours wearing an interesting striped shirt and trousers combo which looked like they had been inspired by pyjamas.

In 2000 Noel and Liam famously fell out after Liam made a derogatory remark about Noel’s then wife Meg, reportedly questioning whether Anais was his legitimate daughter.

The row was just the first of many for the brothers and in 2005 Noel said: ‘He’s my brother but he’s at arm’s length until he apologises for what he’s done.’

In 2009 Noel alleged that Liam came after him with a guitar ‘like an axe’ while the band were in Paris, resulting in Oasis splitting up.

That same year, Liam said:  ‘It takes more than blood to be my brother. He doesn’t like me and I don’t like him.’

But now it looks like Liam is extending an olive branch to his brother by taking Anais out for her birthday and it’s clear Meg has no hard feelings towards the rocker.

Anais is signed to leading model agency Select and last year her mother Meg shared a snap of her taken by famous photographer Mario Testino.

Since splitting with his brother and the rest of Oasis, Liam appears to have mellowed somewhat and has been spending his time on his clothing range Pretty Green.

Noel Gallagher Doesn't Want His Kids Profiting From His Music

Noel Gallagher doesn't want his kids profiting from his music.

The former Oasis rocker has always wanted a solo career in order to make use of his prolific writing, as he hates the thought of his unreleased material surfacing after he dies and his children - Anais, 12, Donovan, five, and Sonny, two - getting to ''take the glory''.

He said: ''I did fancy making solo albums but never to the detriment of Oasis because I f***ing loved that band. But it never quite transpired that I got the time...

''When Gem [Archer] and Andy [Bell] bass joined Oasis, they started writing songs, so I was only getting five on an album, every three years, but I was still writing 30 songs a year and I ended up with this huge backlog.

''I was like, 'What I'm going to be in Oasis when I'm 53 and have 140 unreleased songs? And then release them when I die and then all my kids will be flying around in Ferraris and Boeing 747s, f***ing taking my glory?' Oh no, I don't f***ing think so.''

Because of the changes in the music industry, Noel thinks his kids will have different ''relationships'' to records and he worries his collection will go to waste when he dies.

He said: ''I do wonder what my five-year-old lad's relationship to music is going to be. When they're reading the will out, 'And I bequeath to you, Donovan 14,000 vinyl records...' He's just going to go, 'Sell it, not arsed.' Two Bodines albums and a La's 10-inch that was deleted on the day it was bought from Picadilly records? He's going to say, 'F**k, that's just taking up room, I don't want it.' ''

Noel Gallagher Says He's More Like Bill Wyman Than Mick Jagger

Noel Gallagher’s daughter Anais could well be influencing what her old man listens to.

The former Oasis star has been referencing Maroon 5’s Moves Like Jagger.

Noel’s admitted that he can’t dance like Rolling Stones’ frontman Mick but has moves more like Jagger’s former bandmate Bill Wyman.

Talking about his live shows before last night’s gig at Edinburgh Castle, the High Flying Birds singer said: “As the song goes, I haven’t got moves like Jagger – I’ve more got moves like Wyman.

“But people at gigs either want to dance or sing, and I can make people do that.

“And they’re not watching me anyway, because if you look, they’re staring at the heavens singing their hearts out, and that’s magical.”

Asked if he will carry on in music as long as the Rolling Stones, Noel added: “Evidently the Rolling Stones are not a gang any more.

“It’s easier for a solo artist, so I don’t see a time when I’ll retire. I never see a time when I’ll pack in, especially if I’m still writing.

“What else am I going to do? There’s only so much TV you can watch.”
