Noel Gallagher Says Russell Brand Is Middle Class

Russell Brand was shamed on his radio return by Noel Gallagher who outed him as middle class with a butler.

The former Oasis star was a guest on self-proclaimed “man of the people” Brand’s show.

But he went on to tell listeners how the political activist lived in a £7million home overlooking the River Thames.

He said Russell boasts a butler and has a cottage. Russell, 41, began the first in a number of shows on Radio X yesterday.

He joked about being kicked off the air when he and Jonathan Ross abused Andrew Sachs in 2008.

Manchester City fan Noel said: “Russell has got the River Thames as his garden. This is how middle class he his.”

Fan Siobhan Thomas said: “I’m loving Noel outing Russell.”

Speaking to The Sun Newspaper, he said, “I’ve been asked to go in to the jungle and The X Factor. I was even asked to do Strictly Come Dancing, which made me laugh the loudest.

“Me? Dance? And who gives a s**t about ballroom dancing?”

He continued, “Then there was Top Gear — even though I can’t f*****g drive.

“I’ve also been asked to do Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, but not only would I not shed a tear, I’d call him a c***.”

Noel Gallagher: 'I Don't See An Oasis Reunion Happening'

Noel Gallagher appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show last night (November 22) and shattered the hearts of many Oasis fans.

When asked by Ross as to what the problem with Oasis is and the reason they have not reformed, Gallagher informed the audience: "I don't see the appeal. If I close my eyes I don't see it happening" before clarifying, "that's not to say that it never will. I've got a lot of things going on."

Noel went on to reveal that his relationship with former bandmate and brother Liam is non-existent and that the pair do not speak: “There’s no problem. We don’t speak to each other so there’s no problem.”

Gallagher recently announced details of his new album Chasing Yesterday, under the name of Noel Gallagher & The High Flying Birds. The album will be released on March 2, 2015. The album will feature a collaboration with Johnny Marr on the track ‘Ballad Of The Mighty I’.

Earlier this week, Noel Gallagher doubted Russell Brand’s plan for a revolution, saying to XFM: "I think his revolutionary ideals might be as short-lived as his acting career! He's a good lad, Russell, and I love him dearly like a boyfriend. I think he should stand in the election, because it's alright saying the words and all, but then you're relying on other people to implement all this stuff you're going on about.”

Noel Gallagher Doesn't See The Appeal In Reforming Oasis

Noel Gallagher is a guest on The Jonathan Ross Show week’s show, and has been talking about Oasis and his pal Russell Brand.

“He is a very dear friend… He should stand in the election I think, his heart is in the right place but he does waffle on a bit you know...” he said.

He was also quizzed on whether he’ll ever get back with his former bandmates.

“Last time I interviewed you we were talking and I said ‘Would Oasis ever play again?’... You said ‘I’ll get back together with Oasis on the day you go work for the BBC again…’ Jonathan said to Noel.

“Now about three months ago, I did some work for Radio 2 again. They’ve asked me to do some more so… Are you a man of your word?”

Noel responded: “Does that mean I’ve got to reform a band?”

On a reunion with Oasis, Noel added: “I don’t see the appeal, I don’t see it, if I close my eyes, I don’t see it happening, that’s not to say that it never will but I’ve got a lot of things going on at the moment.”

Noel Gallagher Quit Cocaine Because Of Pyramids, Aliens And The Beatles

Noel Gallagher has confessed he stopped taking cocaine in 1998 because he'd grown tired of ''talking about pyramids, aliens and The Beatles''.

Noel Gallagher stopped taking cocaine because he got ''bored'' of talking about aliens.

The 'In The Heat Of The Moment' singer has revealed that although he still smokes cigarettes and enjoys drinking alcohol, he no longer takes the Class A drug because he's ''bored'' of having bizarre conversations.

The 47-year-old rocker admits he used to spend hours ''talking about pyramids, aliens and The Beatles and who shot JFK [US President John F. Kennedy]'' at his nightly parties.

He said: ''I had exhausted every avenue of conversation. I had parties at all of my houses every night. I just assumed that is what you did. That is what is expected of you. That is why it is the greatest business in the world.''

Despite confessing to once taking cocaine in Queen Elizabeth's toilet at Downing Street, the former Oasis star claims he didn't find it difficult to kick the habit back in 1998.

Speaking on an episode of 'The Jonathan Ross Show', which is to air on Saturday (22.11.14), he explained: ''It was easy to give up. I am very disciplined and I just thought one afternoon, 'I am bored now'. And I thought, 'This is against the law.' ''

But Noel - who says he will ''never give up the cigarettes and the booze'' - insists he won't warn his three children off of drugs.

Speaking about his two sons Donovan, seven, and Sonny, four, with wife Sara MacDonald and his 14-year-old daughter Anais from his marriage to Meg Matthews, he added: ''We plan to let them find their own way in life. If they ever get too close to the edge we will pull them back.

''I would have not liked my parents to preach to me about anything about life.''

Liam Gallagher, Jonathan Ross And Russell Brand Feature In New Book

If you want to guarantee sales for a new book about Hampstead, featuring half its population is probably a good place to start.

It’s also a sure-fire way to get a healthy turnout at your launch, as the writer of Hampstead’s very own answer to Private Eye, the Hampstead Village Voice, can attest.

The launch of Hampstead Faces Volume 1, the magazine’s book spin-off, was held upstairs at Waterstones in Hampstead High Street and attracted a large assemblage of local folk, including many who featured in the book’s pages.

A quirky snapshot of Hampstead life, it comprises nearly 100 pages of photos of the people who help make the place what it is, alongside written profiles of each penned by Village Voice writer Emmanuel ‘Mustafa’ Goldstein.

The likes of Jonathan Ross, Liam Gallagher, Russell Brand and Patrick Vieira, most of whom Mr Goldstein has apparently spotted roaming the streets and promptly accosted for a photo, are included alongside others who are less internationally-renowned, but just as familiar to many Hampstead denizens.

These include Gabrielle du Ploy, owner of Zebra One Gallery in Perrin’s Walk, “Rainbow” George Weiss, who is something like Hampstead’s answer to Screaming Lord Sutch, and the Ham&High’s long-serving photographer Nigel Sutton.

Mr Goldstein, who has been known to have the odd pop at the Ham&High, said the book came out of the regular Hampstead Faces page in his magazine, which is approaching its 20th edition.

“Over a period of time, quite a few famous people appeared in it,” he said,

“What’s nice about that page, you might have Rob the fisherman and Russell Brand on the same page.

“It’s a nice leveller, everyone gets their there little bit.”

He added: “That’s the idea of the Village Voice – to get some community cohesion, because Hampstead is becoming a bit of a Monopoly board for developers and the super rich.

“It’s not traditionally like that. The dynamic of Hampstead has changed a lot, it’s become a bit elitist. But there is still a strong community here and the idea is to try and keep that going.”

Noel Gallagher Celebrates Russell Brand’s Stag Party

Russell Brand celebrated his final days of freedom last night during his stag party but instead of thinking of an original plan he merely had dinner at the pub before heading to Stringfellows.

Jonathan Ross, Noel Gallagher, Guy Ritchie and The Libertines’ Carl Barat were among his guests and even Peter Stringfellow himself showed up to wish Brand all the best.

The lads started their day with watching his team-of-choice West Ham United beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at Upton Park along with David Walliams, Noel Gallagher and David Baddiel.

The 35-year-old and his pals then carried on to the York and Albany gastro pub in Regents Park and stayed there for several hours eating and drinking.

Once the boys had satisfied their cravings at the pub, they moved onto Peter Stringfellow’s Angels table dancing club in central London, where they were greeted personally by Mr Stringfellow

After doing what boys do at the club, they finally left at 1:45am and returned to their north London hotel.

But they didn’t just jump in any old taxi, the group had hired a special bus that they could all ride, which took them back to the hotel to end the night.

Carl Barat was said to be in the worst shape by the end of the night, but soon-to-be married Brand actually looked quite sombre considering it was his do.

Brand clearly enjoyed his party though and later tweeted: ‘Wes Ham beat Spurs and [Peter] Stringfellow just told me to ‘do what you like’; truly I am the Duke of Essex.’

The British comedian hid under a pair of large aviator sunglasses and sported his usual skinny black jeans, leather jacket and a silver boots.

While his former BBC pal Jonathan Ross decided to dress formally for the occasion in a grey tweed suit.

Brand’s party followed his fiancée Katy Perry’s recent hen party which was thrown by Rihanna.

The Teenage Dream singer decided to have her bash at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where she arrived in a stretch Hummer Limo and was joined by 25 friends for the event.

Noel Gallagher Is One Of The Driving Forces Behind Russell Brand's Return To Radio

Russell Brand and Jonathon Ross will be together on the radio next month for the first time since Sachsgate.

The pair will record a podcast live from Hackney, east London, for Absolute Radio.

It's all part of the promotion for Russell's new Booky Wook 2: This Time It's Personal, which is on sale next week.

And Russ is hoping to get most of the old team from his Radio 2 show back together for subsequent programmes.

He said: "I'll be doing a series of podcasts and the first one will be with Jonathan. Then I'll be doing between five and ten with my old sidekick Matt Morgan.

"I'm hoping to get Noel Gallagher back on, too.

"We'll record them at my live shows. We'll do some things backstage and then do the show.

"It should be really good."

Noel is one of the driving forces behind Russell's return to radio.

Russ said: "Noel told me he would put the radio on top of the television and him and his missus SARA would listen together.

"He said when it was gone, he missed it as a thing to listen to, and that's lovely."

I'll bring you more details when I get them.

A year after Sachsgate, which saw the presenter and Brand slated for leaving prank messages on Andrew Sachs' voicemail, he received the Music Industry Trusts' Award.

George Michael handed him the gong at London's Grosvenor House Hotel in front of 1,000 of the great and good from the music world - and I was lucky enough to be invited.

Oasis' Noel Gallagher: 'Days Of Blur Rivalry Have Long Gone'

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has said the days of the band's bitter Britpop rivalry with Blur are over.

Various music publications have attempted to re-ignite the feud this year following Blur's decision to reform.

But in a message on Oasis' website, Gallagher said he hoped both band's members had “grown up a little” since the mid-90s.

TV presenter Jonathan Ross attempted to question the guitarist about the era on his radio show last Saturday.

However, Gallagher, who pre-recorded the show on the Friday, refused to respond negatively to Ross' questions.

Writing about the interview, Gallagher said: “He's a naughty boy, Jonathan. He was determined to try and get me to have a pop at the Blur re-union. Not this time.

“Those days are long gone. Although it was fun at the time I'd like to think we've all grown up a little bit since then. He has, and it was funny though.”

Oasis played a sold-out show at the Eden Project in Cornwall last night.

The gig followed their three-night concert residency at London's Wembley Stadium last weekend.

Noel Gallagher: 'Jonathan Ross Is A Naughty Boy'

Noel Gallagher has called broadcaster Jonathan Ross a "naughty boy" after he tried to get him to insult Blur following their recent reunion.

The Oasis guitarist wrote on his blog that he was no longer interested in the rivalry both bands shared during the 1990s.

Gallagher said: "Went and done an interview with Johnny Ross. He's a naughty boy, Jonathan. He was determined to try and get me to have a pop at the Blur reunion. Not this time.

"Those days are long gone. Although it was fun at the time I'd like to think we've all grown up a little bit since then. He has, and it was funny though."

Gallagher has previously said that he had heard the Blur comeback gigs had gone well, while he admitted that the reunion would be exciting for fans of the band.
