Liam Gallagher's Sons Are "Fighting" Over Who Should Play Him In A Film

Liam Gallagher's sons are "fighting" over who should play him in the Alan McGee biopic.

The 56-year-old businessman McGee famously signed the 'Supersonic' rockers to his Creation Records label after seeing them perform one gig at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1993.

Speaking to The Observer, Liam said: "Someone's doing that at the moment apparently. Well, maybe not a drama, but someone's doing a film on McGee and Creation Records and they've asked if Lennon, my son, would play me in two scenes.

"One at the London venue Water Rats and one at a party at Noel's. He's not up for it. I said 'why aren't you, you little s**t, you said you were up for acting?'

"So now, the other one, the 15-year-old [Gene] he's going to do it, he's going 'I'll do it, dad'. They're having a bit of a fight about who's going to do it. Then get Noel's daughter Anais as Noel. And who can plan Alan McGee? Louis Walsh."

Noel Gallagher Lays X Factor Rumours To Rest

Simon Cowell seems pretty desperate to get Noel Gallagher on the judging panel for The X Factor.

The music maestro, 53, has asked the rocker again, for what seems like the 20th time, to appear on the talent show alongside Sharon Osbourne, 60.

However, the High Flying Birds frontman, 45, is concerned he’ll lash out and upset long-standing judge and Simon’s best pal, Louis Walsh.

Noel admitted: “Yes I was asked to do it again.

“I think they think that because my tour’s fi nished I’m going to be bored, but I’m never going to be that bored. Sharon Osbourne gets £1.5million for it, I’ve heard. If she’s worth one and a half, what am I worth? Three? Three and three quarters?

“I’ve not got anything against the show, I just don’t want to be on the telly every Saturday night, f*ck that.

“You may be aware, I’ve got a slight case of Tourette’s syndrome and I would just end up saying to Louis Walsh: ‘Will you shut up, you c*nt!’”

Like most fans of the show, we’d love to see the Manc rock ‘n roller on the panel.

Even just for his comedy insults aimed at poor little Louis, 60.

This isn’t the first time gobby Gallagher has lashed out at the aging Irish music manager.

Noel previously told the world he thinks Louis is “mad as a box of frogs’’. He even went as far as saying sometimes, while watching the show, he has a sudden urge to strangle him.

He bizarrely mused: “That’s why they should bring it out in 3D, so you could literally lean into the television and just press on his throat a little bit.”

Noel admits he’s been approached numerous times by Cowell as “they need an Alpha Male” on board.

Noel Gallagher Is Not Surprised By His Album Being Number One In Ireland As He's Brilliant And It's A Great Album

Noel Gallagher has admitted that a part of him is not surprised his album, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, is number one in the Irish charts because he's "brilliant and it's a great album."

Speaking to RTÉ News, the former Oasis star did say he was taken aback at the success of the album given that X Factor winner Matt Cardle's album was also in the running for the top spot.

When asked about the Saturday night reality show, Gallagher who was in Dublin at the weekend, said he doesn't regret turning down a chance to be a judge on the X Factor, but revealed that it was nice to be asked. However, he said he never seriously considered it and despite joking about it in previous interviews, Louis Walsh was not a factor in his decision not to take up the offer.

Noel Gallagher began his global tour in Dublin last night, his first concert since Oasis split up two years ago shortly after their Slane Castle gig.

The 44-year-old expressed his joy that his first gig of the tour was in Dublin saying: "where better place to start than where all your relatives are."

He also added that he plans to take his sons to Ireland because "they deserve to spend a week in the rain."

According to the Belfast Telegraph the singer was spotted emerging from the Merrion Hotel yesterday wearing a Man City shirt, en route to his show in the Olympia Theatre. He was celebrating that his team had beaten rivals Manchester Utd 6-1 yesterday.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will play Dublin again next year on February 17 in the 02 and he has promised to play Oasis songs as part of his set.

Noel Gallagher: X Factor Is Great But 16 Is Too Young, Particularly For Girls

Noel Gallagher has described the X Factor as 'great' but criticised the show for allowing under 18s to compete, saying girls are particularly vulnerable to the pressures of fame.

The former Oasis star co-hosted the Absolute Radio Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show this morning, discussing various topics at length including his thoughts on the X Factor.

Noel has previously revealed that Simon Cowell had asked him to take up a role on the judging panel, but despite infuriating daughter Anais by turning down the offer Noel says he likes watching the show and think it's 'great'.

Saying people in the music business 'tend to take it way too seriously', Noel described the show as 'great television' but criticised last weekend's controversial big twist which saw Amelia Lily, Jonjo Kerr, James Michael and 2 Shoes sent home.
'I think that bit last week was a bit unnecessary because they must have known that they were going to have to vote somebody off,' Noel said.

'I found that quite… when you see the kids crying on there that’s quite difficult and all that.'

16-year-old Amelia Lily had burst into tears after being sent home by mentor Kelly Rowland, renewing the debate as to whether under 18s should be allowed to take part in the competition.

Discussing Amelia's exit, Noel said: 'When they say things like "Oh, you're great but you're too young", well don't put her through in the first place then, do you know what I mean?

'They shouldn't put a 16 year old on that show.'

The age limit for the show had already been called in to question during the judges' houses round, when 16-year-old Luke Lucas crumbled under the pressure of performing in front of Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams.

Gary later said '16 is just too young' to take part in the competition, although fellow judge Tulisa Contostavlos defended the age limit.

When asked by co-host Christian O'Connell if he felt the age limit should be raised, Noel said: 'Well I think it should be at least 18, because what would happen, conceivably, if the public voted a 16 year old into pop stardom? I mean, you know…'
'I'd feel offended, it took me till 27 to land this famous, you know what I mean, it's bang out of order.

'It's difficult enough to deal with… Particularly for a girl, do you know what I mean? I can't imagine being 16.'

Describing girls as 'more vulnerable' to the pressures of fame, Noel offered his own theory on why girl groups have failed to make much of an impact on the X Factor.

He said: 'Guys are ordinarily in groups or have come out of groups, and girls tend not to be in groups because they bitch a lot, you know.'

Despite joking that new judge Gary Barlow was 'just like some James Bond baddie', Noel said the Take That star was a 'good lad', but was less forthcoming with praise when discussing Louis Walsh.

'Louis Walsh, he's mad as a box of frogs isn't he, he really does… he lives in a parallel universe.

'You think to yourself "Do you get British TV in Ireland? Oh you do get it? You do know what's on the telly?" I mean, he's insane.'

Noel also revealed his anger when Louis Walsh had claimed that the Gallagher brothers would have 'loved' G4's cover of Oasis track Don't Look Back In Anger during the first series of the X Factor, saying: 'That's why they should bring it out in 3D, the X Factor, so you could literally lean into the television and just press on his throat a little bit.'

Noel Gallagher's Daughter Hasn't Forgiven Him For Turning Down The X Factor

Noel Gallagher has revealed he has no regrets about turning down the chance to be a judge on X Factor - but his daughter won't ever forgive him for it.

The ex-Oasis star said his daughter Anaïs was upset with him after he said no to X Factor guru Simon Cowell.

Cowell offered him the role after he left the UK version to work on the launch of the show in America.

Judging regulars Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole also departed leaving more vacant places on the panel alongside Louis Walsh.

Gallagher told The Sun: 'I told him he didn't really want me on there.'

'He insisted he did. I insisted harder that he didn't and he gave up asking. My 11-year-old daughter has never forgiven me.'

Instead, Gallagher has been busy launching his new solo project called Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

He will be playing a sold out three-date tour in October to promote his debut solo album, also called Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

Gallagher added: 'Money was never mentioned.'

His place on the panel was taken by Take That star Gary Barlow who joins newcomers Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland.

The X Factor launches this Saturday, August 20 at 8pm on ITV1 and the boot camp stage of the competition is expected to begin airing in several weeks.

Liam Gallagher Gives Mumford Fash Bash

Liam Gallagher had better not ask Mumford & Sons for a spot on the guest list soon.
The Beady Eye frontman has hammered the folk band for the way they dress.

He said: "They look like f****** Amish people.

You know, them ones with the big sideys that don't use electricity?

"Growing their own food and putting barns up... I need music to be a bit more sexy and played by people who look a bit f****** dangerous."

He also had a dig at newlywed brother Noel, saying: "Our kid looks more like Louis Walsh these days."

Talking clobber again, he told Shortlist magazine, out today, that he owns more shoes than missus Nicole.

Liam added: "I've always had more shoes than her, I like my shoes.

"I just have to go through it every now and again and think, 'D'you know what? I'll give that to charity.' That makes me feel good."

Sounds like he's after Gok Wan's job.
