Liam Gallagher Enjoys A Quiet Pint Before Glastonbury Appearance

He swore he would never play Glastonbury again after headlining with Oasis nearly ten years ago – but yesterday Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye kicked off events at the festival.

With the words "Get in" and a moment of silence while he surveyed the crowds, the singer launched into Flick Of The Finger, the first song to be heard on the Other Stage at Worthy Farm this year.

Despite the relatively early hour and the mud underfoot, thanks to a downpour of rain that lasted all night, thousands of people turned out to see the band. Their performance was unbilled but Gallagher had dropped heavy hints about it on his Twitter account.

Although the Mancunian was wearing sunglasses, they were mostly not needed as grey clouds hovered over the Somerset site, with the sun trying to break out.

The biggest cheers came for Oasis hit Rock 'N' Roll Star and, perhaps aptly for the time of day, What's The Story Morning Glory, which turned into a mass singalong.

Fan Hayley Storey, 30, from Leeds, said: "We only came this way because we wanted a beer – we'd not heard they were playing. It's a great way to open the festival. I'm so glad they did Oasis stuff too."

Chris Goode, 35, from Greenwich, south-east London, said: "It was quite a surprise to see them. It was just luck. I didn't think Liam would be up this early in the morning. I bet he's not even been to bed yet."

It seems the singer was also surprised to be awake, grumbling to the crowd at one point: "11.30 in the ******* morning."

But he later added: "It's never too early for a bit of rock and roll echo."

He had previously complained about the sound system at the festival after Oasis played on the Pyramid stage in 2004.

Gallagher apologised to festival goers for making their headaches worse if they had one, and told them with his typical swagger as the set came to a close: "You've been amazing. But not as good as us.

"Have a good day, weekend, life."

His partner, Nicole Appleton, was among those watching. at the side.

Before his appearance at the festival, Gallagher stunned locals at a Somerset pub when he stopped in for a pint. He popped in to the Crossways Inn at Burnham-on-Sea where he sought out a corner of the room for a low-profile drink.

The pub's Jaime Wallace said: "Liam and another person spent about an hour having a drink in a quiet corner of the pub.

"He certainly took us by surprise, but it was great to see him here on his way to the festival."

Audio: Beady Eye Play Songbird And More

Liam Gallagher is plagued by ghoulish stalkers who leave shrines on his doorstep as if he’s already dead.

The Beady Eye frontman said: “I’ve been left burning candles with pictures and wreaths and that.

“It’s weird s***. They leave pictures of John Lennon and f****** flowers and s***.”

But Liam isn’t scared enough to call in cops, adding: “You just give them a cuddle and tell them to get on their way and stop f****** about.”

He was with friends on Saturday night after performing on BBC show The Voice.

Host Holly Willoughby and husband Dan Baldwin drank with Liam and his missus Nicole Appleton at a house party – and they ended up recording a version of Oasis track Songbird.

Ex-EastEnder Tamzin Outhwaite was also at the tear-up along with Beady Eye’s Andy Bell, his wife Shiarra Bell, bandmate Gem Archer and his missus Lou.

At 2am yesterday, Andy posted a link online to their version of Songbird which you can listen to below.

The group also posted a tracklist they partied to, including Daft Punk’s Get Lucky and The White Stripes' Fell In Love With A Girl.

But they paid for the party yesterday – with Andy’s wife writing on Twitter: “Ouch.”

Liam Gallagher On How He Got Rid Of A Troublesome Tramp

Rock star Liam Gallagher has told how he got rid of a troublesome tramp who had been pestering his Hampstead neighbours.

The Beady Eye singer said the homeless man had become a nuisance by persistently ringing on doorbells and going through bins in the early hours of the morning.

The former Oasis star, speaking at the relaunch of Red House restaurant in Chelsea, told the Standard: “This tramp kept hassling me at my house.

“I know he has been a problem for other people round our way. He was ringing on our buzzer early in the morning and kept asking if I would pay for his pay-as-you-go phone. Proper mad.

“The final straw was when he started messing with my recycling bins. I’m a bit anal about my recycling and he ended up shoving his crutches in my bin. I came out and squared up to him and he had a bit of a go.

“Put it this way, I don’t think he’ll be coming back round my way again.”

Gallagher, 40, lives in Hampstead with wife Nicole Appleton and their son Gene, 11, who he says may well follow in his father’s footsteps into rock ’n’ roll.

He added: “He plays the drums and is really good. He’s more of a Keith Moon type than a steady drummer but I think he’s got what it takes.”

Blue M&M Nearly Kills Liam Gallagher

Liam Gallagher has put his constitution to the test with a rock ’n’ roll lifestyle stretching back to his teenage years.

But the Beady Eye star has received his first serious glimpse of the Pearly Gates after a blue M&M sent him crashing into anaphylactic shock last month.

Liam has been diagnosed with the life-threatening nut allergy after suffering a reaction to his favourite sweets while staying in a hotel on tour.

And now the former Oasis man has to carry a special injection with him everywhere he goes in case a rogue nut creeps into his system.

Speaking at the launch of The Red House restaurant in south-west London, he said: “I’ve done some stuff over the years but never, never did I think a f****** blue M&M would be the thing that could have killed me. I was in a hotel on holiday and got in about the mini bar.

“I was bored and hungry, so it’s what you do, man. I’ve always liked M&Ms so I got into them. I had a blue one.

“My mouth started to swell up and I could feel it tightening my throat, man. I had to go to the docs and get it checked out straight away.

“It happened again a couple of weeks after and now I’ve got to carry a syringe about with me in case of emergencies. Proper Pete Doherty gear.”

The singer was out on the town to support his Pretty Green clothing business partner Chris Jonns, who has opened a new top-notch restaurant and bar near the King’s Road. Beady Eye are about to release second album, BE, which he is itching to get out and tour.

Liam was drinking with brother-in-law Liam Howlett from The Prodigy, Hurts’ singer Theo Hutchcraft, rappers Rizzle Kicks and The Libertines hero Carl Barrat.

Liam’s missus Nicole Appleton, her sister Natalie and fellow All Saint Shaznay Lewis were on the lash too.

The night ended in The Box club in Soho in the wee small hours.

Luckily it’s not the kind of venue to leave peanuts out for the punters...

Embarrassing Dad Liam Gallagher

Liam Gallagher's kids are embarrassed by him.

The Beady Eye frontman - who has sons Lennon, 13, with first wife Patsy Kensit, and Gene, 11, by second spouse Nicole Appleton - thinks he is a cool dad, but admits the boys now ''sneak off'' so they don't have to be seen in his company, and he has now realised even their friends aren't impressed by his rock star status.

He said: ''It's got to the stage where my kids sneak off and go, 'You're not walking with me man.' I'm like, 'Hey, I'm a f***ing cool dad!' 'No you're not.' 'I f***ing am. All your mates think I'm cool anyway...' 'They think you're a bit of a d**k actually' It seems I've got a lot of work to do.''

Liam recently got into an altercation with 'The Wire' actor Idris Elba, and he claims he will still confront people for the sake of his sons.

He explained to Q magazine: ''I'm a bit more chilled but I wouldn't say I've changed drastically. I was out the other week, off me f***ing kecks and I didn't think, 'Oh I better not have this fight with this big fella here because I've got my kid at home.' I was like, 'F***ing hit him for your kid. This guy's taking the p**s out of his dad!' ''

Liam Gallagher Enjoys A Night Out In London

Seeing Liam Gallagher roll out of a club after a raucous night was the norm in the 1990s.

And it seems that the former Oasis star is back to his old ways after he was spotted doing just that on Sunday, clutching three bottles of champagne.

Unmissable in his green khaki anorak, the singer piled into the back of a taxi with wife Nicole Appleton and her All Saints sister Natalie after partying at Little House in Mayfair.

The rocker might now be a married father-of-three, but he's clearly been missing his wild lifestyle, seeming intent on returning to the 1990s.

In true rock star style, the Beady Eye front man did little to go incognito as he left the exclusive London haunt at the weekend.

Making his presence in the street well and truly known, Liam emerged brandishing three bottles of champagne, holding them up high in the air for everyone to see.

The star made sure that he posed for picture with his haul, obviously not caring who knew about his night out on the town.

Looking like he'd already had a good night, the singer seemed in usual spirits as he jumped into the back of a cab with wife Nicole and a group of female companions.
And far from looking embarrassed by her husband's loud behaviour, the former pop star laughed as he jumped into the back of the car, seeming to enjoy the spectacle.

Liam didn't seem to have updated his style since the 1990s either, sporting the same haircut and similar green jacket to the ones he became best known for in Oasis' heyday.

Staying true to form, the star has been cultivating a few more famous feuds recently, unsurprisingly with brother Noel.

After his brother performed with former rival Damon Albarn at the Teenage Cancer Trust gig last week, he was clearly unimpressed, writing on Twitter:

'Don’t know what’s worse RKID sipping champagne with a war criminal or them backing vocals you’ve just done for BLUE ! LG x.'

Liam also reportedly fell out with Idris Elba at the NME Awards last month, over the actor's bobble hat.

Liam Gallagher And His Wife Nicole Enjoy A Day Out Together

He’s known for being a bit of a rock and roll legend who causes trouble wherever he goes.

So it’s no wonder Liam Gallagher didn’t look best pleased when he was spotted doing something rather mundane – shopping with his wife on Monday.

Despite pulling a miserable face, it seems Liam did in fact enjoy a successful spend up with Nicole Appleton as he carried just as many bags as she did.

His wife, former All Saints singer Nicole linked her arm through his, dampening his hard man image somewhat.

The pretty 38-year-old also wore a parka, although hers was fur trimmed and rather sensibly she wore a pair of wellington boots.

Embracing her laid back look she opted to go make-up free, showing off her natural beauty.

After a while of picking up designer goodies, Liam’s mood seemed to brighten and as he left a sunglasses shop, he even managed to crack a smile.

On This Day In Oasis History...

"Songbird" is a song by British rock band Oasis, from their fifth studio album Heathen Chemistry. It was released as the fourth single from that album on 3 February 2003 and peaked at #3 in the UK charts. Being written by lead singer Liam Gallagher, it was the first time the band had released a single not written by his brother Noel.

Upon joining Oasis in the early nineties, Noel Gallagher claimed sole-songwriting responsibilities, and allowing little-to-no leeway from the rest of the band. He openly mocked the songwriting output of Liam and Bonehead, who had been in charge of Oasis' songwriting prior to his joining and had written a handful of tracks such as "Take Me" and an acoustic number titled "Life In Vain". Liam elaborated on the situation in 1994, after the release of Definitely Maybe saying "Noel won't let me (write), but I can't really write anyway... In the future if I started writing top tunes, I still don't think he'd be up for it... I know for a fact, even if he was going dry, he wouldn't play my songs... I'm not happy with that, but that's the way it is innit?".

However, after Oasis' third album Be Here Now received a cold reception from music critics, Noel began to loosen his control and allowed Liam to contribute songs. Though his first effort, "Little James" which appeared on Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, was criticised for being too simple and childlike (in particular, rhyming "plasticine" with "trampoline"), Songbird was fairly well received, despite only being based around two simple chords (G + Em7).

The song, written for Liam's long term girlfriend Nicole Appleton, was seen as a surprising break away from Liam's "Hard-Man" image. He explained this away saying "I like beautiful things...It's not all dark in Liam World. I take me shades off every now and again and have a look at the world and see some nice things."

The simplistic video was filmed in Regent's Park in London, and featured Liam playing an acoustic guitar under a tree, and also being chased by a dog.

Songbird is the shortest running Oasis single, at 2:07.

The song is included on Oasis' 2006 'best-of' album Stop The Clocks.

Uncle Liam Gallagher Celebrates Nieces 13th Birthday In Style

He famously has a very tumultuous relationship with his brother and Oasis bandmate Noel Gallagher.

But it seems Liam Gallagher is happy to put any animosity between the pair behind him for the sake of Noel’s daughter Anais.

The famous musician was spotted taking his niece and her mother Meg Mathews for lunch on Sunday to help her celebrate her 13th birthday.

The unlikely dinner companions were joined by Liam’s wife Nicole Appleton, their son Gene and Liam’s eldest son Lennon Francis from his first marriage with Patsy Kensit.

Noel Gallagher didn't appear to be have joined them for the family occasion.

The group, which also seemed to include two of the birthday girl’s friends, happily posed for pictures outside Lemonia, a family-run Greek restaurant in Primrose Hill.

Liam’s two sons both opted for bright coloured trousers to help their cousin see in her birthday, while the rest of the family opted for rock ‘n’ roll inspired outfits.

Meg, who split from Noel over a decade ago, was the only member of the group who wore light colours wearing an interesting striped shirt and trousers combo which looked like they had been inspired by pyjamas.

In 2000 Noel and Liam famously fell out after Liam made a derogatory remark about Noel’s then wife Meg, reportedly questioning whether Anais was his legitimate daughter.

The row was just the first of many for the brothers and in 2005 Noel said: ‘He’s my brother but he’s at arm’s length until he apologises for what he’s done.’

In 2009 Noel alleged that Liam came after him with a guitar ‘like an axe’ while the band were in Paris, resulting in Oasis splitting up.

That same year, Liam said:  ‘It takes more than blood to be my brother. He doesn’t like me and I don’t like him.’

But now it looks like Liam is extending an olive branch to his brother by taking Anais out for her birthday and it’s clear Meg has no hard feelings towards the rocker.

Anais is signed to leading model agency Select and last year her mother Meg shared a snap of her taken by famous photographer Mario Testino.

Since splitting with his brother and the rest of Oasis, Liam appears to have mellowed somewhat and has been spending his time on his clothing range Pretty Green.

Liam Gallagher: 'I Know F**K All About Fashion'

Liam Gallagher has admitted that he knows "f**k all" about fashion and only created his fashion line because he was given the chance to.

Speaking at the presentation of his Pretty Green fashion label’s 2013 autumn-winter collection, the singer spoke to The Evening Standard and responded to people who are sceptical about his career in fashion.

“I’m not doing it to prove anything. I’m doing it because I had an opportunity." “I spend a lot of my money on clothes so I feel like I’m within my rights to do whatever I want to do," the 40-year-old explained.

"I know f**k all about fashion. I just know what I like. We might get bored of it in three years time, go back to our day job. But at the moment, we’re having a good time. It gets us out the house. So why not?”

Gallagher also critiqued the way modern pop stars dress: “They’re a lot smarter these days. The clothes are a lot more fitted. I tried on some of the clothes I used to wear back in the day, and they were all a hundred sizes too big.”

His wife, former All Saints singer Nicole Appleton, added: “Liam has always been into clothes. He is very particular about what he likes.”

Celebrities Flock To Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green Autumn Winter 2013 Season Launch

Numerous rockstars flocked to launch of Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green London Collections: Men's Autumn/Winter 2013 on Monday night (January 7th 2013) at The Arts Club and he certainly seemed to be in celebratory mode. He was spotted in his usual indie get-up with a black jacket and jeans, decidedly avoiding the opportunity to don a smart suit on the red carpet. On the other hand, he wasn't the only one - his longtime bandmate Gem Archer, who joined him in his band Beady Eye after Oasis, wore an identical jacket and their friend Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan favoured very similar style shoes. Andy Bell, also from Beady Eye, attended though looked distinctly smarter.

Gallagher's wife Nicole Appleton from All Saints was also at the event showing her support for her fashion designer husband. Aside from the new collection, he has several ventures for Pretty Green he wants to concentrate on in 2013 including a range of eyewear and bags to add to the business in its fourth year of running. 'We're looking into accessories heavily, having dabbled in footwear', he said at the launch. 'The world's our oyster really, we'd like to think. There's the opportunity to grow into what we want.'

BBC Radio 1 presenter Fearne Cotton was another guest at the launch, heavily pregnant and supported by her boyfriend Jesse Wood, the son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood. Despite being on maternity leave, she took a break from resting to attend the event and looked 'pretty green' in a patterned turquoise and black minidress teamed with leopard print ankle boots that cleverly took the attention away from her bump. Though, as a fashion designer herself, you can hardly blame her for knowing all the tricks of the trade.

Liam Howlett from The Prodigy paid tribute to the label with a thin green scarf while his wife Natalie Appleton (also from All Saints and sister of Nicole) turned heads in a net top and tight leather pants. It certainly wasn't a night for conventional red carpet glamour but was dazzling nonetheless. The range of different styles donned by the evening's celebs went some way to prove a point Gallagher made about his clothing not fitting into one category, as inspiration seems to be everywhere. 'People might say it is but we didn't set out to create a Mod label', he insisted. 'It's music, from the Sixties and Seventies.'

'The Inbetweeners' star James Buckley was also in attendance looking chipper as usual. He hung up his role as the egocentric though secretly insecure character of Jay from the British comedy series in 2011 following a three series run and a closing movie. In November last year (2012) he married his long-term girlfriend Clair Meek at Dundas Castle in Scotland and the pair have a 14 month old son together named Harrison. Whether he's named after Blake Harrison, the actor who played Jay's best friend in the series, is unknown  though we'd sort of like that to be the case.

The Rolling Stones enjoyed the London Film Festival after-party for their documentary Crossfire Hurricane at Mayfair restaurant Quaglino’s.

The gang, minus Mick Jagger, mingled with guests at the CIROC Ultra Premium Vodka-sponsored bash but seem to have lost their staying power.

Liam Gallagher, 40, there with wife Nicole Appleton, said he’s going to stay a rocker in his 60s too, insisting: “If you’ve still got a head of hair, rock on.”

Liam Gallagher Attends The Premiere Of The Rolling Stones 'Crossfire Hurricane'

The Rolling Stones turned Leicester Square into a Rock and Roll circus as they attended the premiere of 'Crossfire Hurricane', a documentary on their 50 years as rock's biggest and baddest bands.

The band recently announced that they would be playing a bout of new gigs, as well as new songs, and even if the stars were not quite the wild horses of their youth they seemed to have some of the spriteliness that has made their live shows a must see for half a century, laughing and joking on the red carpet.

The movie, directed by Brett Morgan, charts their rise from the early days of the late Brian Jones and hits such as 'Time Is On My Side' through their emergence alongside The Beatles as the defining bands of the 60s into the rock superstars they've become, chronicling the bad behaviour and great music through interviews and archive footage.

On the new gigs Sir Mick Jagger was upbeat, saying that rehearsals "are going really well, we've done loads of songs, playing well, everyone's playing really good".

When asked whether he needed his memory jogging about the old days he said that he "remembered everything".

One of rock's more modern miscreants, Liam Gallagher also hit the red carpet, and when speaking to red carpet presenter Lauren Laverne he was unusually full of praise, saying: "If it weren't for the Beatles and The Stones there'd be no point in living,"

The former Oasis frontman also expressed a desire to still be performing at The Stones' age, saying "why not" and adding that if you look cool you should "crack on with it".

George Michael: 'Liam Gallagher Complimentary About My Music'

Singer denies Beady Eye frontman walked out of recent London show.

George Michael has defended Liam Gallagher after it was reported that the former Oasis man had walked out of a recent show of his.

Earlier this week it was claimed that Gallagher left George Michael's London show after just 23 minutes, preferring to stand at the bar with Beady Eye bandmate Andy Bell instead. However, Michael has since launched a staunch defence of his friend via his Twitter page, saying that Liam has always been "very complimentary" about his music.

"Please don't hold it against Liam that he popped off to the bar at Saturday's show", Michael tweeted. "He's a lovely guy and has always been really friendly to me and very complimentary about my music." Explaining that Gallagher left the show to get away from onlookers making him uncomfortable, Michael added: "He was getting a load hassle from people who spotted him so it's not surprising he went for for a bevvy :)"

All of Michael's tweets were subsequently re-tweeted by former All Saints star Nicole Appleton, Gallagher's wife, with whom he had attended the Earl's Court concert.

The show Gallagher allegedly walked out on was part of Michael’s Symphonica Tour and was the second of three London dates rescheduled following his battle with pneumonia in 2011.

The singer recently cancelled a run of shows in Australia, citing "major anxiety" as the reason behind his decision.

Noel Gallagher On Love, Life, Liam And Heaven On Earth

Rocker Noel Gallagher believes his wife is a real-life angel who helped him quit his rock and roll ways for good.

The former Oasis guitarist told how he met Sara MacDonald in an Ibiza club during his wild days — and he’s never looked back.

In a candid interview on RTE’s Meaning of Life with Gay Byrne, the singer said: “My wife is an angel to me — and a real one.

“She appeared out of the smoke in a nightclub when I was at my lowest and I’ve never looked back since then.”

The 45-year-old married the Scottish beauty earlier this year after 12 years — and he told Gay he believes he has finally found true happiness. He said: “My wife is still my best friend in the world.

“I still love her dearly. The meaning of life for me is watching your kids grow up and growing (old) with your wife.”

Noel, who has two children with Sara and a 12-year-old daughter Anais with ex-wife Meg Matthews, also told told how he and younger brother Liam, 40, took steps to patch up their long-running row after their mum, Peggy, intervened.

Noel explained: “She never takes sides. Christmas just gone she said, ‘I’ve told him to call you and I’m telling you to call him so it’s about time you spoke’. We exchanged texts on Christmas Day. Liam doesn’t have a phone as he is always losing them so you’ve got to text his missus.”

But Noel, who has found solo success with High Flying Birds, insisted he doesn’t miss playing alongside the volatile singer.

He said: “I’m not wistful and nostalgic. If I hear Oasis songs on the radio I don’t think, ‘Oh God, wouldn’t that be great?’”

The songwriter is proud of his Irish heritage — Peggy is from Charlestown in Co Mayo, while dad Tommy grew up in Duleek, Co Meath — and the family travelled from Manchester on regular holidays.

But Noel told how he no longer speaks to his violent dad, who separated from his mum while he was still a teenager.

He said: “I don’t think he was an alcoholic. I just think he was a bit of a rubbish husband. The 1970s was a tough time in Manchester not only for working class people — but for Irish people with the Troubles.

“There wasn’t a lot of work, but I don’t look back on that time with any regret or sadness. It kind of makes you what you are. After my mam and dad split up we still (saw) him because he only lived about 200 yards up the road.

“My mam never said anything like, ‘You can’t see him’. He still had his own firm and we still did a bit of work with him, but soon after that we kind of became men.

“Then you go off and do your own thing. It’s not shocking for families to become estranged, particularly a family of boys when they start doing their own thing.”

Noel, who was regularly in trouble with the police in his teens, also told how music saved him from a life of crime. He said: “(My mother) kind of seen that me and my other two brothers weren’t bad lads. We come from quite a large council estate in Manchester and we were all lads and my dad was working away and we never really seen him as a father figure.

“You were kind of out there in the Wild West almost and it was all going on... crime and drugs and all sorts of thing.

“I am just glad I got through the other side and found something in music that took me in a different direction.”

During the early days, Oasis became famous for their hard-partying rock-and-roll lifestyle. They drank, took drugs, fought, and made celeb friends such as Mick Jagger, Kate Moss and Johnny Depp.

But Noel told how he decided to put an end to his wild ways after waking up from a bender to find his house full of strangers. He explained: “There came a point for me in 1998 when I went to bed one night thinking, ‘This is the greatest thing ever. I am living the dream. I’m like the new Keith Richards’.

“I woke up the next morning and thought, ‘This is boring, I hate all these people’. I’ve never done it since.”

Blues supporter Noel also told veteran broadcaster Gay, 78, how all his dreams came true this year when Man City finally won the Premier League in May.

He smiled: “It means everything, I’ve been supporting that team since I was five or six. For 40 years I haven’t seen them do anything really.

“I wouldn’t give up my kids or my family for City winning the League but I’d give up a few No1s, for sure. I have had nine so I’d give up about four of those.”

Liam Gallagher Likes To Annoy His Dogs, Kids, Wife And Mother

The Beady Eye singer likes to torment his pet pooches by taking out their leads and making them believe he's going to take them for a walk.

The antagonistic musician winds them up so much the canines can't control their bodily functions - and then he doesn't take them out for a run.

He jokingly told NME magazine: ''I like winding me dogs up. I just stand there with the lead, shaking it for f***ing ages until they're sh***ing and p***ing all over the floor. And I'm stood there going, 'Walkies!' Then I sit back down again.''

Liam, 40, doesn't just like to antagonize his pets, he also likes to pester his kids - sons, Lennon and Gene - his wife, All Saints star Nicole Appleton, and his mother Peggy.

He added: ''I like winding me kids up, I like winding me mum up, I like winding me missus up.''

Although Liam says he likes to ''wind up'' his mutts, who include a Dachshund called Ruby Tuesday, the former Oasis frontman is an avid dog lover.

The 'Wonderwall' singer previously donated a classic Epiphone Casino guitar adorned with his signature to be auctioned for PUP AID - a charity which raises money for the Dogs Trust, Kennel Club Charitable Trust and the Oldies Club.

Liam Gallagher Dresses Up In A Tuxedo To Celebrate His 40 Birthday

For years he has been the bad boy of the British music scene with a nonchalant attitude and outspoken opinions.

But Liam Gallagher may have just grown up as he celebrated his 40th birthday on Friday night at Whiskey Mist, in London.

The Mancunian was suited and booted as he and his celebrity mates hit the popular venue for a long and expensive evening.

Liam looked rather dapper in a black tuxedo which he wore with a black bow-tie and white shirt. Of course the rock star didn't do things completely straight and added his own twist to the smart -outfit by having his shirt untucked.

With his long side burns and cool retro hairstyle, Liam looked like the lord of the manor as he stood outside the venue with arms spread out.

A source told The Sun: 'Liam isn't shy about hitting the big 4-0. He's got all his friends and family down for a tear-up.

'He's had a brilliant week over in Madrid doing some business with Pretty Green and had a belter of a night out.

He's starting a new decade in his life with a bang.'

The former Oasis front man had arrived in a large silver cab accompanied by his wife and former All Saints star Nicole Appleton, but his brother Noel was absent.

Nicole, 37, looked lovely in a black and grey strapless dress as she joined family and friends at the trendy shindig.

Her sister Natalie Appleton, 39, also attended the event and seemed more than a little worse for wear as she left. The mother-of-two was in good company as the birthday boy had also thoroughly enjoyed himself.

Liam emerged from the nightclub bleary eyed as he posed for photographs with some keen fans.

Television presenter Holly Willoughby was a surprise guest at the party and she tweeted: 'Tonight... Is a brilliant night... I'm fully aware now that I will remember this for a very long time x'.

Liam Gallagher Celebrates His 40th Birthday In Style

There was no way that Liam Gallagher was going to enter his forties with a whimper.

The Beady Eye frontman booked out one of London’s top nightclubs, Whisky Mist, to mark his milestone 40th last night.

And in a bid to make sure the brutal bar tab didn’t get too silly, he even got vodka brand Ciroc to sponsor it.

Tipple of choice ... Ciroc vodka In the old days it would have been Red Stripe and Benson & Hedges backing the binge, but times change.

A source said: “Liam isn’t shy about hitting the big 4-0. He’s got all his friends and family down for a tear-up.

“He’s had a brilliant week over in Madrid doing some business with Pretty Green and had a belter of a night out. He’s starting a new decade in his life with a bang.”

Liam’s missus Nicole Appleton helped organise the party.

Close pals and family were invited, plus a few famous faces.

The date of the bash made it difficult for any of the Manchester City stars to attend though. It was less than 48 hours before City’s Sunday teatime game with Arsenal, so only Mario Balotelli would risk making an appearance.

However, Liam did receieve birthday wishes from one of his favourite Blues stars. Argentinian striker Sergio Aguero sent the rocker a happy birthday message on Twitter yesterday.

Liam treated himself to a new ring to mark the birthday.

The jewels resemble the shape of the mod target and cost him a small fortune.

He told me the diamonds had special significance with outer space when I saw him at the GQ Awards.

He’s also pictured here with his pal Scully from Manchester earlier this week with two fluffy mascots at Real Madrid’s Bernabeu stadium.

They look like they might come from another solar system too.

Liam might be 40, but he’ll always have the spirit of a teenager.

Liam Gallagher Shows Off His Sausage Dogs

Britain’s coolest dog show took Primrose Hill by storm as celebrities flooded the park to show off their pet pooches on Saturday (September 8).

Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher and his wife, All Saints singer Nicole Appleton, showed up with their matching sausage dogs, and struck rock star poses with man’s best friend atop the hill.

His brother Noel’s ex-wife, Meg Mathews, was also in attendance as patron of the event which was organised to raise awareness about the puppy farming industry.

Queen guitarist Brian May addressed the crowd with a speech about the horrors of puppy breeding centres where pets-to-be are kept in dark, cramped conditions, akin to battery farms.

Last year, an estimated, 900,000 dog owners bought their dogs from puppy farms without realising.

Other star visitors included comedian Ricky Gervais, clothing designer Henry Holland, Joanna Page of Gavin and Stacey fame and Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding, who was part of a celebrity panel of judges.

Pooches were judged in the categories of Prettiest Bitch, Campest Dog in London, Handsomest Dog and Coolest Dog.

No celebrity pets came out top dog but all the animals were made king of the hill for a day.

Ms Mathews, who was there with her 11-year-old daughter, Anais Gallagher, said: “It was an amazing day raising awareness for Pup Aid.

“I’m so delighted to be the patron and I was truly touched by the support from everyone – especially the pups on what was such a hot day!

“It was a great success and we hope to see everyone again next year!”

This year’s Pup Aid was the biggest competition yet as the event has moved from its south coast home, where it began three years ago, to north London, which is awash with celebrity dog lovers.
