Noel Gallagher is on an indefinite leave from music after finishing a world tour with his High Flying Birds project.

The former Oasis frontman has just finished touring his debut album with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds around the world, and plans to take it easy for a while.

He said: ''I'm going to take voluntary redundancy and maybe grow a couple of beards. I like to get as far away from it as possible when I finish touring because it's so full on when you're doing it. There's not just only the gigs, there's all the other stuff that goes around it.''

The 45-year-old 'If I Had a Gun' star won't return to music until inspiration strikes, or wife Sara MacDonald, 40, pushes him to get back to work.

He added: ''I don't know when it will be, but you just wait for some kind of call from somewhere - creative call or whether it be the elbow from the wife, which it was last time. 'Get out the house, man'. She didn't say it in as many words but that's what she meant.''

Noel Gallagher's Foul Smelling Lyrics

Noel Gallagher's son changed the words of his track 'If I Had a Gun' to rhyme with ''shoot poo out of my bum''.

Noel Gallagher's son changed the words to one of his songs to feature the line "shoot poo out of my bum".

The High Flying Birds rocker is father to three children - Anais, 11, Donovan, four and Sonny, 12 months - and said they are not only hard to please musically, but they mess around with his lyrics.

The former Oasis guitarist told Esquire magazine: "I've got three kids, so if you can get through three minutes of a song in our house without somebody throwing something at you, you're lucky.

"They were never big Oasis fans. There's a song on my new album, 'If I Had a Gun' - the lyrics go, 'If I had a gun / I'd shoot a hole in the sun' but Donovan, my eldest son, changed them to, 'If I had a gun / I'd shoot a poo out of my bum.'"

Noel - who is married to publicist Sarah McDonald - has a hard to please family, and his wife was initially unmoved by his new album with his High Flying Birds project, as it wasn't rocking enough for her.

Referring to Sara's favourite psychedelic rock band, he said: "I've got to say, my missus is not the biggest fan of anything I've ever done ever. She's a bit like - meh. It's not Kasabian, is it? Do you know what I mean?"

"There's one on the new album she really doesn't like. The last track. When she saw the track listing, she said "Oh, you've not included that bloody song have you?" Someone might like it. She's from Scotland, I know my place. She's more Northern than I am."

Noel Gallagher Says His Wife Has Got More Beautiful Since She Married Him

Noel Gallagher says his wife has got more beautiful since she married him.

The musician tied the knot with his long-term partner Sara MacDonald in June and he has claimed she has never looked better since becoming 'Mrs. Gallagher'.

Noel - who has two sons, three-year-old Donovan and 10-month-old Sonny, with Sara - told Christian O'Connell on his breakfast show on British station Absolute Radio: "Do you know, I looked at her the other day and I said to her, 'It's uncanny, but I think you've got better looking since I married you.' Seriously. We were at a party the other night and I was like, 'Oh God, she's beautiful.' I mean, she's blooming since she married me. I might give it a go in a few years, marrying myself. Seriously, she's come on great, she's an amazing woman."

The former Oasis star also joked he only decided to make a solo album, 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds', and go on tour again so he earn more money to buy Sara shoes.

Noel - who wrote the Oasis songs 'She Is Love' and 'Waiting for the Rapture' about Sara - joked: "I'm cool with it, you know, it's not an ideal situation for me to be in, to kind of start again at my age, 27, but I enjoy writing songs and making records, so therefore I'm obliged to get out on the road and make some more money for my missus to buy shoes with, and I will give it the best shot that I can muster."

The 44-year-old songwriter releases his album on October 17 and he kicks off his tour on October 23 in Dublin, Ireland.

Noel Gallagher Hires Lime Wood Hotel For Lavish Wedding

Noel Gallagher is set to marry publicist Sara MacDonald at the lavish Lime Wood Hotel in the New Forest today.

The couple – who have two children together – have been an item since meeting at Space nightclub, Ibiza, 11 years ago.

They arrived at the venue shortly after 1pm yesterday in a silver Mercedes people carrier with blacked-out side windows.

Noel, whose hits include Don’t Look Back in Anger and Wonderwall, could be seen sitting in the front of the vehicle, nervously biting his nails.

They are thought to have paid £60,000 to secure exclusive use of the 29-room hotel for yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Security was tight as smartly dressed guards were called in to man the gate at the end of a quarter of a mile long driveway leading to the venue.

Pop singer Katy Perry and her husband Russell Brand are expected to be among the guests but Noel’s brother Liam is unlikely to attend.

Noel, 44, had said he hoped Liam would attend even though they have reportedly not spoken since a bust-up before a Paris concert in August 2009.

But he is currently touring the United States with his new band Beady Eye and is due to play in Chicago on the same day as the wedding.

The plush venue is just over a mile outside Lyndhurst and has suites costing up to £725 a night.

In January last year model Sophie Dahl married singer Jamie Cullum at the stunning Regency country house originally established as a hunting lodge in the 13th century.

Noel Gallagher Grows Old

Forget rock ’n’ roll, it’s all about gardening and cruising on canal boats for Noel Gallagher, 44, these days.

Noel Gallagher’s soon-to-be-missus Sara MacDonald, 39, has insisted they move from central London to leafy Maida Vale so they can potter in the garden and cruise on the local waterways.

We’re told: “Liam thinks his brother’s gone soft by going to live in Maida Vale so his wife-to-be can do the garden. The area is known for retired people, after all.

“Noel has admitted that he misses being in the heart of London but he wants Sara to be happy and because she loves her garden, he’s just dealing with it.”

Liam Gallagher Denies Final Oasis Bust-Up Was About Noel's Girlfriend

Liam Gallagher has rubbished claims he provoked the confrontation that led to the end of Oasis by making comments about his brother Noel's girlfriend.

The Britpop legends split in August 2009 when guitarist and main songwriter Noel walked out following a backstage altercation with Liam at the Paris en Seine festival.

Liam and Noel were involved in a series of bust-ups throughout Oasis's time in the spotlight, so there was no shortage of rumours about what had caused a disagreement serious enough for the band to split up.

One report suggested Liam had started the argument by making insinuations about Noel's partner Sara MacDonald.

The singer told Q the story wasn't true and that the argument had been about 'some f***in' stupid little t***'.

He revealed Noel had begun the now infamous bout of guitar smashing by destroying one Liam had received as a gift from his wife.

'Regardless of that, I thought f*** it. He's been a t** for the last six months on this tour, blowing hot and cold,' said Liam.

'So I thought, "f*** this s***, you're getting one of your guitars". And that was it.'

Liam's new group Beady Eye, which features his ex-Oasis bandmates Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock, are set to release their debut album, Different Gear, Still Speeding, next month.

He has been busy talking it up, but had some words of encouragement for Noel, even though the brothers are not thought to be on speaking terms.

'I hope our kid's buzzin'. I f***in' do, actually. I hope he's gonna make great records. And he probably will,' said Liam.

Girlfriend Sara MacDonald gave birth to Sonny Patrick on Friday, October 1.

Sonny is the second son for the couple - the pair is already parents to Donovan Rory, born in 2007.

Noel Gallagher Wants Baby Carlos

Noel Gallagher plans to call his baby Carlos.

The former Oasis guitarist - who already has a daughter, Anais, nine, from his previous marriage to Meg Matthews, and two-year-old son Donovan with his current partner Sara MacDonald - plans to pay tribute to his sporting hero, Manchester City soccer player Carlos Tevez, when he becomes a father for the third time in September.

He said: "The new baby, if it's a boy - Sara doesn't know this yet - is definitely going to be called Carlos. Yeah, without a doubt. Or just Tevez.

The musician also admitted Sara's pregnancy has scuppered his plans to spend this summer in South Africa for the soccer World Cup.

He added in a video interview for The Football Association website: "I was planning on going but I went and got my missus pregnant didn't I. I should have knocked her up when I got back or something instead."

Noel, 42, will now have to watch the tournament on television, but admits he still gets so involved in the action, he often frightens his children.

He explained: "Anais isn't into football, she thinks it's boring. She can't grasp the concept of dads standing up watching the TV, because I do that and shout and she's just going, 'Daddy, sit down, you're scaring me.' "

Noel Gallagher Shrugs Off Oasis Controversy To Go Shopping With Sara

Noel Gallagher looked as if he didn't have a care in the world as he sauntered around the shops in central London yesterday with his girlfriend Sara MacDonald.

The Oasis songwriter and his brother Liam have come under heavy criticism this week for pulling out of their headlining set at the V Festival in Chelmsford on Sunday with only hours to go.

Liam was advised by doctors not to perform as he had 'viral laryngitis', and Noel said after their V gig in Stafford the night before that he hadn't been well either.

Writing on his blog, he said of the gig that he "didn't enjoy it one bit".

He continued: "Don't feel too clever. Outrageous stomach ache. Feel like I'm coming down with summat.

"Might have to get the doctor out in the morning. Hope it came out of the speakers ok. Gutted. Oh well, there's always tomorrow."

But, thousands of fans were disappointed when the gig was pulled entirely - where normally Noel would have filled Liam's shoes to take lead vocals - and Snow Patrol stepped in to close the festival at the last minute.

However, whatever Noel had, he seems to have recovered now - hopefully enough to complete their world tour for current album Dig Out Your Soul.

Jo Whiley: "It's Noel Gallagher's Fault I Was Pregnant'

The ScotsMan sat down with Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley, here's a small excerpt from the interview.

Liam and Noel Gallagher think she's one of the "coolest" women of their vast female acquaintance. When I mention this to Whiley, she laughs and exclaims: "Yeah, but you can never be cool to your kids!"

"Actually, you know, Noel Gallagher's responsible for Coco. I bumped into him and his girlfriend Sara, shopping in Selfridges. He was looking radiant. He and Sara had their new baby boy, Donovan, with them. Little Donovan was just weeks old, and Noel and Sara were so happy, and made it look so easy, cosy and fun, that I decided then and there that the day had come. In fact, when I announced I was pregnant I texted Noel and told him it was all his fault!"

Madonna Next After Oasis?

Mum was the word for at least one of the Gallagher brothers when Noel nipped home while back in Manchester for three stunning concerts at Heaton Park.

Noel and partner Sara MacDonald called to see mum Peggy at her home in Burnage on Saturday.

And the Oasis guitarist got a true Mancunian soaking as the rain poured down when he rushed from her house to his silver Mercedes.

Despite the rain Noel was still a happy man after the two concerts so far were hailed a huge success.

And traders who cashed in on the events are now hoping the council make the north Manchester venue a regular for gigs.

A huge clean-up operation was needed after expected audience of 210,000 poured into the park over the three nights.

But it was the smooth running of the shows and the lack of any major disorder which has left many wondering whether this could be the start of a new chapter in the park's colourful history.

Traders told the M.E.N. they want more after many saw their takings rocket.

And council bosses believe the extravaganza could make north Manchester an attractive proposition to big-name stars from all over the world.

Names such as Madonna and the Rolling Stones have already been mentioned as future performers.

And if rock legends The Stone Roses were ever to reform Heaton Park would be expected to be top the list of potential sites for an historic homecoming.

In front of the largest numbers at the park since Pope John Paul II's visit in 1982 the shows got off to an inconspicuous start.

On Thursday under clear skies the band had to leave the stage twice after a generator blew with Noel promising a refund for 'genuinely disappointed' fans.

But they made a triumphant return to play a blistering 24-song set to the joy of the thousands who had paid around £40 to catch a glimpse of their heroes.

Never one to shy away from controversy Liam had earlier launched a blistering attack on M.E.N. columnist Angela Epstein who had said the event should not take place.

Saturday's show was blighted by bad weather but most of the welly-wearing revellers were left delighted with the highly-charged performance.

Landlord of the Woodthorpe Hotel on nearby Bury Old Road, James Ballard, 55, described the event as 'absolutely marvellous'.

He said: "There's been no trouble whatsoever and I've not heard of any elsewhere. We weren't expecting this. I'd say 90 per cent of fans have thanked us for our hospitality. They've come from everywhere. Scotland, Ireland. We've nearly tripled the takings so I'm sure the brewery will be pleased with that.

"I'm wondering where we go from here now. I've heard Madonna in September. Personally I'd love to see Genesis. Why not?"

Aziz Rehman, 28, from Prestwich Wines, added: "The fans have been absolutely fantastic and we've had no trouble. I was worried but they've all behaved themselves. Our regular customers say they have been delighted with it. It's good to see so many people in Prestwich.

"I think they should do it again. I'd like to see Snoop Dog and Michael Jackson here."
