New Row Over Oasis Refunds

Angry Oasis fans say they STILL haven't got their money back after power cuts disrupted the band's homecoming show.

Noel Gallagher promised 70,000 fans a refund live on stage after the Heaton Park gig on June 4 got off to a stuttering start.

Noel later said the thousands who took him up on the offer were being 'cheeky' - but 20,000 cheques have already been sent out with the logo 'Bank of Burnage'.

But fan websites are now being flooded with comments from people complaining that their bid for a refund has been turned down for not meeting strict criteria.

Anyone determined to get a refund has until the end of this month to keep trying, but a post on the band's website warns that 'the Heaton park refund offer was a discretionary offer' and their decision is final.

The post also warns that organisers can't process 'incorrectly completed forms'.

Now a number of fans are furious after being told their claims are 'ineligible' even though they met the initial June 12 deadline and believe they met all the conditions.

One fan accused the band of 'doing a complete u-turn to save themselves some cash'.

Another fan who was refused a refund, Dorothy Peters, told the M.E.N: "It's very poor. Obviously I'm annoyed as I cannot see why they are refusing my claim. I bought the tickets at Heaton Park at a box office."
