Liam Gallagher Puts The Finishing Touches On His 'Rock n Roll' Bee For Charity

Liam Gallagher put the finishing touches to one of the 100 sculptures for Manchester's Bee In The City Trail.

Each fibreglass bee stands 1.8m high and will feature a unique design created by a different artist. They go on display in the city from July 23rd to September 23rd.

Sally-Ann Wilkinson, director of Wild in Art, said: ‘It’s incredibly exciting that Liam Gallagher is part of Bee in the City, in true rock 'n' roll star style adding the finishing touches to his bee back stage at Manchester's Parklife (or Parkalife, I should say!).

The trail, named Bee in the City, also features designs inspired by other Manchester legends such as MCFC Bee, Hac’Bee’Enda, I Wanna Bee Adored and many more.

At the end of the summer-long event, the Bees will be auctioned off to raise money for the Lord Mayor's We Love Manchester charity. which works to improve the lives and life chances of people in Manchester.

The event is organised by Wild in Art, in partnership with Manchester City Council, and is part of the city’s official recovery strategy.
