The Manchester Evening News are reporting that Oasis are planning a huge twelve night residency at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium next year. The shows are said to be part of a new tour that could be announced in the next few weeks.
The MEN says people close to the club and the tour promoters believe twelve dates could be confirmed later this summer.
One music industry source told the MEN, "It will be twelve nights at the Etihad Stadium across May and June. It will be massive for Manchester and the local economy."
The source also said more dates could be added, the tour is also said to include a return to Knebworth.
The MEN also says another source claimed a luxury hotel in Manchester city centre has been fully booked from the end of May through June for the band and their crew. That adds to the rumours that the shows will take place during those months.
