The sale of a huge collection of Oasis recordings has been stopped after the band filed an injunction.
The recordings known as The Desk Tapes include 63 live shows, soundchecks and more than 100 hours of rehearsals from the 90s.
They were recorded and collected by sound engineer Huw Richards who worked with the band from the release of Definitely Maybe in 94 until 2001.
The recordings were due to be sold by Littleton Auctions on October 3rd.
But the auction house has now withdrawn them following legal proceedings.
Littleton Auctions managing director Ben Homer said: “Littleton Auctions confirms that the Oasis recordings known as The Desk Tapes have been withdrawn from our October 3 auction in light of legal proceedings. We are very disappointed that we cannot offer this significant archive as planned.”
