Tony Adams Reveals The One Thing Liam Gallagher Couldn't Have When He Bought His House

Short piece taken from the October edition of FourFourTwo Magazine.

Late last year, it was reported that Tony Adams had sold his Cotswolds home to Oasis star Liam Gallagher.

"I was at a do recently," Adams smiles. "We'd been talking for an hour and 10 minutes about Arsenal and addiction, and all this serious stuff.

Then this 12-year-old lad comes up to me and says, 'Oh... you sold your house to Liam Gallagher', and I thought, 'Is that what I'm known for now?!""

He laughs at the idea that, for one young fan, that house sale is his defining achievement. "Liam's lovely and Debbie's great," he says, referencing the singer's partner. "She's an Arsenal fan. Stevenage girl. Her sister Katie as well. They're great Arsenal fans." And that perhaps explains what happened next.

Outside the front door of the house stood a pair of cannons, just like the ones outside the Emirates. "Liam went, 'They've got to go'," Adams grins. "But Debbie said, 'No, they're staying here'."

There was only one problem. "I said, 'They're not staying," Adams continues. "They were coming with me!"
