Liam Gallagher Wants To Tattoo His Lyrics To Ian McCulloch's Forehead

Liam Gallagher wants to tattoo his lyrics to Ian McCulloch's forehead, because the Echo And The Bunnymen singer slated the Beady Eye frontman's songwriting ability.

Liam, who has recently re-joined the social networking site Twitter, used his page to hit out at the 'The Killing Moon' singer, who has previously slagged off Beady Eye lyrics.

Liam Gallagher Tweeted: Ian McCulloch you wanna watch what your saying about my lyrics or I will come and tattoo them on your forehead ! LG

It is currently unclear what McCulloch has recently said to upset Liam, but it is likely that Gallagher may have read an interview the Echo And The Bunnyman frontman gave to the Irish Independent in September 2011.

In the interview, McCulloch said: "I like Liam, but, to be honest, Beady Eye are crap. He looks like a fish out of water. He should have bided his time and thought a little more about the lyrics that might be worth writing."

He added:"I feel for him. He's never been the greatest frontman in the world. That's bollocks because there's so much of me in him."

Earlier this year, Liam Gallagher was voted as the greatest frontman of all time in a poll voted for by the listeners of XFM, with Queen singer Freddie Mercury in second place.

The former Oasis man is among those who've made the last eight in NME's search for the Ultimate Musical Icon of the last 60 years.

Echo And The Bunnymen: Ian McCulloch On Oasis

The greatest Macca to come out of Liverpool pulls up a bar stool with AP Childs and shoots the shit about accidental heroin use and PiL, before agreeing to our steak cookery challenge . . .

You reformed at the arse end of Britpop and released Evergreen, and despite your solo endeavors, you’re still doing it as the Bunnymen; it even looks like you’re going to outlast bands such as Oasis. Are the Bunnymen going to remain a going concern?

Mac: Definitely! Yeah, we will do more records. When we got back together as the Bunnymen for Evergreen it was obviously a calling kind of thing rather than just a reunion. And we have proved that. The Bunnymen, despite the problems, get better and better. We go from strength to strength.

What are your thoughts on the latest Oasis split?

Mac: I feel sorry for Noel. After all, it was his fucking band man. Looking at it, it seems like he's been bullied from all those behind the group. What do you do when that happens? He's had to walk out on his own band. But Noel is a good songwriter and he'll be OK. He's got projects . . . the rest of the band . . . well that guy from Ride, I like him, he's OK. At least the rest of them have still got him if they want to continue together.

Noel forced to "walk out on his own band", says Bunnyman

Ian McCulloch, legendary frontman of Echo and the Bunnymen, today commented on the recent Oasis split.

During an interview with The Quietus, McCullock said "I feel sorry for Noel. After all it was his fucking band man. Looking at things it seems like he's been bullied from all those behind the group.

"What do you do when that happens? He's had to walk out on his own band. But Noel is a good songwriter and he'll be ok. He's got projects. The rest of the band, well that guy from Ride, I like him, he's ok. At least the rest of them have still got him if they want to continue together."
