'Scouting For Girls' Roy Stride Wants to Write A Song For Liam Gallagher

Roy Stride from 'Scouting For Girls' has said he wants to write a song for Liam Gallagher.

He has been an ardent fan of Gallagher since his Oasis days and it would be a dream come true to write lyrics for him.

He said "I would love to write Liam a song, he was one of my childhood heroes, he was one of the reasons I wanted to be in a band as a kid. I loved Oasis, I went to one of their shows when I was 14 and they were touring 'Definitely Maybe', I was at Knebworth, I was at Earl's Court Exhibition Centre.

"The first time I ever busked I did a terrible version of 'Half The World Away'. I was obsessed with all the bands of that generation but especially Oasis," said Stride.

Scouting For Girls May Release New Song On The Advice Of Noel Gallagher

Scouting For Girls have joked how they may release a song called She's So Rubbery - on the advice of Noel Gallagher.

When the band played an exclusive Biz Session I told them how Noel joked that their hit She's So Lovely was about a blow-up doll after his daughter kept singing the rubbery lyric.

Singer Roy Stride said: "That's the best story I've ever heard. It should be a B-side."

Watch an interview with the band on the player here.
