Oasis Welcome To Reform Without Noel Gallagher, Says The Man Himself

The Dream On singer also revealed he tells fans who ask for selfies to "go f**k themselves".

Noel Gallagher has revealed he would have let his brother Liam and his former bandmates use the Oasis name.

in an interview with Rolling Stone, the Don't Look Back In Anger singer said: "On the day that I left, they could have had the name if they'd have en masse, called me up. I would have signed the name off to them but they didn't."

Noel added that he wouldn't stop Liam, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock - who went on to form Beady Eye in 2009 - getting back together as Oasis and added that it would be "f***ing interesting" and "hilarious" to see what they did.

Setting the record straight about his chances of reforming with the band himself, he added: "I get people going, 'You will reform, you'll definitely reform', and I'm like, 'What makes you so sure?' and they go 'You just will.'

"I'm like, 'What the f***, don't be so f***ing rude. Are you trying to Jedi mind trick me or what?'

"You'd do it for the money and I would do it for the money If I needed the money but I don't need the money."

The Ballad Of The Mighty I singer went on to talk about fame, saying there are absolutely "no downsides," except being asked for selfies.

“I'm sick of fans asking for selfies, but I just tell them to go and fuck themselves. I'm not beholden to anyone with a camera phone and I don't give a fuck if they think I'm an arsehole."

He added: “I turn down photographs on a daily basis. When people say can I have a picture and I just say no and they just (laugh and) go, 'Yeah, what really?' 'Yeah really I'm fucking busy here buying underwear'.

"Some people get so offended and then you get people who insist, they insist. If I feel like doing it, I'll do it if I don't feel like doing it fuck them. I don't live my life to have my picture taken by fans whether they buy my records or not. I don't ask them to buy them.”

Beady Eye Announce Split

Liam Gallagher has tweeted that his post-Oasis band have called it a day. He wrote: "Beady Eye are no longer. Thanks for all your support."

Beady Eye featured former Oasis members Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock, plus former Kasabian man Jay Mehler.

Their first album, Different Gear Still Speeding, was released in February 2011 and a follow-up, BE, appeared in June of last year. The band opened the Other Stage at Glastonbury 2013.

It's not clear from this brief statement whether Liam will now become a solo artist or whether it means he won't be working with the former Beady Eye members again.

Anyone expecting the imminent reunion of Oasis should bear in mind that Noel Gallagher has just announced his second album with the High Flying Birds, Chasing Yesterday, which will be released in March next year.

Liam And Noel Gallagher On 'Good Terms'

The brothers and former Oasis bandmates fell out in 2009 and are believed to have refrained from speaking to each other ever since but Noel has now revealed they have begun building bridges.

According to The Sun newspaper, he told the December issue of Q magazine: ''We're on good terms, as good as we can be.''

However, contrary to increasing speculation that they're planning to reunite for the 20th anniversary of Oasis' second album '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?', Noel insists there is no reunion on the cards.

He added: ''I'm f**king looking forward to spoiling everybody's party next year. We won't be doing it.''

Meanwhile, the 47-year-old rocker recently revealed that he is still good friends with his former bandmates Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock - who joined his brother Liam's band Beady Eye after their falling out.

He said previously: ''I was with some of Beady Eye the other night and they are still plugging away. They're good lads. We all got completely s**t-faced and we talked nonsense for hours. It was good.''

Noel Gallagher Is Still Friends With Ex-Oasis Bandmates

Noel Gallagher is still friends with his former Oasis bandmates.

The songwriter insists they are no hard feelings with the musicians he used to work with following his decision to quit the super-group in 2009 after a backstage bust-up with his brother, singer Liam Gallagher.

In the aftermath Noel launched a solo career while Liam formed new group Beady Eye with the other members Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock.

However, the High Flying Birds frontman insists they all get along well now and spent a recent night together drinking.

Refusing to reveal whether Liam was involved in the meet-up, Noel said: ''I was with some of Beady Eye the other night and they are still plugging away. They're good lads. We all got completely s**t-faced and we talked nonsense for hours. It was good.''

Quickly stopping speculation they may have discussed an Oasis reunion, he added: ''Though not about a reunion, for anyone trying to seize on that.''

The 47-year-old musician was speaking at a Q&A session at Facebook HQ to announce his new album 'Chasing Yesterday' - out March 2 2015 - and one cheeky fan couldn't resist asking about the possibility of an Oasis reunion.

When quizzed if he'd play solo material when the band reforms, Noel laughed: ''What reunion? You tell me, you seem to know.''

The 'Don't Look Back In Anger' singer also scoffed at his brother Liam's criticism of the recent anniversary re-issue of Oasis' debut LP 'Definitely Maybe', insisting he wouldn't be complaining about the money earned from it

Noel said: ''What did Liam say, (rehashing?) Really? I bet he didn't say that when he was putting the cheque in the bank.''

As well as his new album Noel also announced his next single, 'In the Heat of the Moment', will be released digitally and on limited-edition vinyl on November 17 and he will be heading out on a UK arena tour next March.
