The director of Oasis' road movie 'Lord Don't Slow Me Down' is to release his first feature film in April.

Other actors involved in the film include Daniel Craig, Helen McCrory, Olivia Williams, Emilia Fox, Harry Eden, Lily Allen's brother Alfie Owen-Allen and US rapper EVE.

As well as Oasis, Walsh has previously worked with Kylie Minogue, New Order, Spiritualized and Massive Attack

Tum-thing Stops Noel Rebelling

Bizzarre Lord Noel Gallagher has done his bit for loads of good causes in his time.

But the Oasis rebel’s rumbling tum told him he had to ignore these protestors in London’s Mayfair.

One posed like he’d just launched a javelin.

But it wasn’t enough to throw Noel and his missus Sara Macdonald off the scent as they headed to Scott’s for some posh grub the day after a heavy session.

The couple had got stuck into the hospitality at a pal’s wedding at the weekend.

A night on the tiles was overdue for the couple after Mr Big spent seven weeks polishing off the next Oasis album in LA.

I wonder what the shoe shopping bill was like when he was away...

It looks as if the long-long-awaited European release of Rock Band will benefit from a track list tailored to its new market, with an alternative song list spotted by attendees at Play.com Live last weekend (the game being one of the main attractions).

According to ButtonBandits, EA staff showing off the game had a track list that included the likes of Beetlebum by Blur, Rock 'n' Roll Star by Oasis, Through the Monsoon by Tokyo Hotel and Hysteria by Muse.

Manu Chao by Les Wamaps, L'Aventurier by Indochine, and New Wave by Playmo was hinted for the French version, Germans getting Hier Kommt Alex by Die Toten Hosen, Perfekte Welle by Juli, and Countdown to Insanity by H-Block X.
A selection of other Euro-favourites are hinted alongside these, so we'll keep you posted as we learn more.

Liam Gallagher Is A True Blue Supporter

Liam Gallagher looks like he has finally rid himself of all his rock-star pretensions – by declaring himself a fan of the former boyband Blue.

The Oasis star confessed his love to former Blue star Duncan James at a lavish reception party for London PR couple Niki de Metz and Charlie Lycett.

“He was telling Duncan he was really sorry that Blue were no longer going,” says an onlooker. “He was telling him that his kids love Blue’s music and that they all used to jump around the house singing and dancing to them.”

Liam and his brother Noel were the biggest names at the Landmark Hotel for the glitzy bash, which included dinner, a live performance from Sugababes, and an after party where guests including Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes, Meera Syal, Angela Griffin and Holly Willoughby got down until 6am.
Liam also appeared to have moved on from his formerly boozy ways.

“Liam didn’t seem like he was drunk at all,” says our source. “He was putting the chef’s hat on Duncan’s head, saying, ‘now that you’re unemployed, you can be my chef for the night’.”

Let The Record Show! McKee’s New Music-Themed Artwork

‘Pop artist’ Pete McKee will be living up to his title with a preview show of new retrospective paintings featuring fans, fashions and famous faces from Sheffield’s music scene.

The Human League, Jarvis Cocker and Arctic Monkeys are among the names getting the McKee treatment in ‘33 and 1/3’ – Pete’s first Sheffield show of new artwork in over a year.

Also reflected in Pete’s new paintings are the fashions associated with music genres and styles such as Mods and Rockers. Meanwhile, former city venues of yesteryear are also depicted including nightclubs The Limit and Mojo – which was opened by Peter Stringfellow and, in its 1960s heyday, played host to live concerts by many well known bands.

The launch event will be held at the Forum Café and Bar, 127-129 Devonshire Street, Sheffield, on Sunday April 13th from 8pm, when the works will be available – for one night only – at a special exhibition-themed price of £333. After the launch, the originals will revert to the normal price of £600.

Each of the 33 and a third paintings is 12” X 12” LP-sized, in keeping with the music theme of ‘33 and 1/3’ - the rotation frequency or ‘RPM’ of vinyl albums.

The ‘third’ of a painting in the collection title is an unfinished picture featuring a record player and album sleeve which will be customised especially for its owner by the artist. The buyer can choose the record they want to see featured and Pete will personally finish the painting for them.
Said Pete: “The exhibition is based on my love of music and the themes of the paintings range from being in famous bands to buying records, gig-going and fan culture.”

Pete’s work is admired by a growing army of high-profile music names including Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher, Richard Hawley and Arctic Monkeys.

McKee’s new paintings are inspired by the Sheffield music scene and celebrate fandom as well as famous faces.

‘The Mods’: A life devoted to clothes as cool as the music.

‘We Love You Marc’: Our kids don't believe that we, too, once fell in love with our heroes.

He's a nice fella really, that Liam Gallagher.

I spotted the one-time bad boy dropping off loads of his and wife Nicole Gallagher's old clothes at a charity shop in North London.

The big-hearted Oasis star even helped the assistant to take the goodies into the back room too.

Rare Zanzibar Club Bootleg From 2003 Surfaces

On May 3, 2003, Noel Gallagher took to the stage and performed his historic gig at the Zanzibar club in Liverpool. Prior to the gig, he had taken the opportunity in several radio interviews to promote the greatness of the newly written song “Stop the Clocks.” In the middle of his set list that night, in between performing “Talk Tonight” and “Wonderwall”, and then “Don’t Look Back in Anger” and “Married With Children”, Noel performed the song he had spoken so much about, and a legend was born.

Over the years, an audio recording of the Zanzibar concert never surfaced. Some fans even began to doubt that the concert ever took place, or that the song had been performed that night.

L4E has obtained a recording of Wonderwall (*recorded at the Zanzibar club in 2003). Noel can clearly be heard introducing Stop the Clocks on it.

After the song, Noel says: “Thank you... so anyway.” Then Noel plays a chord on the acoustic guitar and utters the words that the crowd will never forget: "This next song is called 'Stop the Clocks.'" During the song, Gem is playing what sounds like backwards guitar with reverb or an echo effect. It's different than the backwards guitar heard in the song "Who Feels Love", but has the same psychedelic feel, with bongo drums being played by Terry.

More On The Wellerbretta

Photo Source: Richard Lunt official photographer for Scootering Monthly Via Pete Mckee.

Last week I posted a interview with the artist Pete Mckee (Here.) and I was bombarded with various emails from Paul Weller & Scooter fans for more information and pictures of the scooter.

I also found out a bit more information on the scooter on springfair.com

Not quite content with painting a 10ft guitar for the Gibson Guitar Town exhibition in London’s South Bank on behalf of Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher, Pete McKee has turned his artistic attentions to scooters. On display at his stand in Hall 12 is a full-size hand-painted scooter featuring some of McKee’s cartoon-style pop art, which has been signed by the Modfather Paul Weller.

McKee transformed the 1968 Lambretta scooter, which he salvaged from his friend’s garage, by hand-painting his designs directly onto the bodywork of the scooter. The artwork had to be given three intricate coats by hand before it was finished. “I treated it like it were a canvas, a large work of art,” he said.

During a visit to Weller’s studio, the former The Jam and Style Council front man agreed to sign the handlebars of the scooter. McKee’s work, which is often inspired by music, has earned him a growing celebrity following.

'To Be Someone' is the name of the scooter, after The Jam song.

Thanks to Pete Mckee & Richard Lunt.

Oasis - Update

Recent months have been busy for all things Oasis. While the band continue working on the new album in L.A., here at Oasisinet we have been busy updating their various websites.

We've created a new Facebook fan page; begun uploading all the band's classic videos to their YouTube channel and created a new skin for their Bebo page. These sites, along with their page at MySpace, will continue to be updated with new content as well as all the latest news, so why not check them out!

We've also launched a brand new competition to win a selection of Limited Edition Promotional CD's and Vinyl. These have never been available in the shops so are a must-have for any Oasis fan's collection. All you have to do is watch a video of the band talking about one of their songs. If you think you know which track it is, email your answer to mailto:thefans@oasisinet.com or enter via the 'Competitions Page' on Oasisinet.

In other news, 'Definitely Maybe' was voted the best album of the last 50 years by the readers of the UK's Q Magazine with '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' being voted the second! 'Don't Believe The Truth' and 'Be Here Now' also came in the top 25! We'd like to thank all the fans who voted for this.

To buy these albums, and other music by the band, click here for 7 Digital and here for iTunes.

We have also added a unique version of 'Wonderwall' available for listening and adding on the band's MySpace page. This was from Noel and Gem's performance at Union Chapel on 26th November 2006 and is a rare recording of Noel performing Ryan Adam's arrangement of the Oasis classic.

Don't forget to keep checking Oasisinet.com for all the latest news about the new album!
