On This Day In Oasis History...
On April 28th 1996 Oasis played the second of two nights at Maine Road in Manchester support came from the Manic Street Preachers and Ocean Colour Scene.
The Maine Road gigs were the only concerts that Oasis played their cover of Slade's 'Cum On Feel The Noize'.
It was also performed for TV on 'Later With Jools Holland' in November 1995 and on 'Top Of The Pops' in February 1996.

Noel Gallagher Confirms Oasis' ‘Definitely Maybe’ 30th Anniversary Reissue
Noel Gallagher has said that there will be a reissue of Oasis’ ‘Definitely Maybe’ album getting released next year that will feature previously unheard tracks.
Speaking to Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera he said: “In the Sony archives we’ve found tapes dating to those sessions.” “We thought they were lost, but they were mislabelled. They are wonderful versions of those songs, some acoustic versions.”
On This Day In Oasis History...
On April 27th 1996 Oasis played the first night at Maine Road it was the first time the band had ever headlined a stadium.
An estimated 80,000 people attended the both gigs, support acts for the shows included Manic Street Preachers and Ocean Colour Scene.
