Liam Gallagher Takes Part In John Lennon Documentry

An interview with Liam Gallagher at the site of the Beatles last ever concert in 1969 on the roof of the Apple building in London’s Savile Row was shown on ITV this evening.

Liam told the programme why John Lennon had such an impact on his life and career.

The Day John Lennon Died featured an exclusive, moving interview with John’s widow Yoko Ono Lennon, the only interview she is giving to mark this significant anniversary outside the US. She recalls their life together and the events of that last terrible day.

With rare archive footage of John’s life in New York, including touching family moments with Yoko and Sean, the programme gives an intimate insight of John’s life and the point it had reached before his murder.

The film recounts the events at the heart of John’s last day, from when he visited his favourite barbers in the morning, to when he was pronounced dead later that evening.

The Day John Lennon Died also looks at how John’s death affected those who knew and loved him including Cilla Black, David Frost and Gerry Marsden.
