U2 frontman Bono said he has no hard feelings towards Liam Gallagher despite him slagging off his band and thinks he and his brother Noel are "incredible" musicians.
But when it comes to Liam and Noel's tumultuous relationship, the 57-year-old singer does not think anyone would be able to help them make peace, reported Femalefirst.
"I think there's more chance of sorting out the Middle East than mediating between the Gallagher brothers ... But they're incredible. They are both part of oasis. And Liam and Noel are incredible," Bono said.
Noel was the support act for U2 for their special tour marking the 30th anniversary of 'The Joshua Tree' album, and Bono has heaped praise on the 50-year-old guitarist comparing him to music legends Paul McCartney and The Beach Boys' Brian Wilson.
"Noel Gallagher - He's an extraordinary force. You forget because he's so understated. This is one of the greats, this is like Brian Wilson, or, this is like Paul McCartney, or just like Ray Davies.
"He's right up there. And having him around is fun too and we get in to similar trouble. He's very Irish really.

The Masterplan is a compilation album by English rock band Oasis, comprising B-sides which never made it onto an album. The album was originally intended for release only in areas such as the United States and Japan, where the tracks were only available on expensive European import singles. It was first released in late 1998. The Masterplan reached #2 in the UK where it went platinum, and #51 in the United States. However, it did gain top spot in various charts around the world, going on to sell 2 million copies. Four songs from the album appear on compilation album Stop the Clocks.

The versions of "Listen Up" and "I Am the Walrus" are edits of their original releases on the "Cigarettes & Alcohol" single. "Listen Up" has 8 bars removed during the guitar solo (4:3–4:39). "I Am the Walrus", with a fade-out, finishes at 6:25, whereas the original runs fully to a natural conclusion at 8:14.
"I Am the Walrus" was given its correct recording location and date on the sleevenotes. On its original release on the "Cigarettes & Alcohol" single, the location listed was the Glasgow Cathouse, in June 1994. However, in promotional interviews for The Masterplan, Noel revealed that it was actually recorded at the soundcheck for a gig at a Sony Music seminar at Gleneagles, Scotland, in February 1994. He said the credit was changed because he thought "recorded at a Sony seminar" would "look shit".
Chris Griffiths (of The Real People) was given a co-writing credit for "Rockin' Chair". On its original release on the "Roll with It" single in 1995, Noel Gallagher was credited as the sole songwriter.
"Acquiesce" was released as a radio single in the United States, and a promotional video was created for this purpose. It consisted of a live performance of the song from Manchester's G-MEX, recorded on 14 December 1997, with various behind-the-scenes footage of the band on tour. Missed Chasing the Sun at Old Granada Studios? Fans now have another chance to see photographer Jill Furmanovsky's work with the Manchester band.
A new Oasis exhibition opens in Manchester tomorrow, following on from last month’s Chasing the Sun retrospective at Old Granada Studios.
Acclaimed music photographer Jill Furmanovsky, who spent years on the road with the band and whose work featured in the band’s official exhibition in October , will be showcasing more of her pictures at the city’s Central Library.
Her show, DNA Oasis, includes striking portraits of the Gallagher brothers as well as early live images and candid behind-the-scenes shots - some of which have never been on show before.
“Noel and Liam were OK with being photographed, but they had short attention spans”, said Jill.
“They didn’t want to hang around for hours, which suited me as a photo-journalist. I work quickly. Maybe that’s why they liked me.
“I look at some of the photos now and remember what moods they were really in - but somehow, I usually managed to persuade them to pose for me.
“I had the sense that Noel thought it was important to document everything that was going on at that time – it was all happening so incredibly fast.”
Jill, who made her name in the 70s and 80s shooting legends including Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin and Bob Marley, took her first pictures of Oasis at a gig in Cambridge in 1994, the year Definitely Maybe was released.
She went on to become their unofficial tour photographer, charting their rise to career-defining shows such as Maine Road, Knebworth and beyond, right up until their split in 2009.
“Oasis had been signed the year before”, Jill said. “At the time, I was putting together a book of my work, The Moment, which started with an image of Paul McCartney from his time with The Beatles. I wanted an up-and-coming group to bookend the collection and they seemed to fit.
“Once I’d photographed them, I thought that was the end of my rock-and-roll years. But then Noel asked me to go on tour with them - and I was still working with them years later.”
The exhibition has already been paid a visit by The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, who is pictured in the studio with Oasis in one of Jill’s photographs.
“I have many images of other great Manchester artists, including Morrissey and The Buzzcocks - so I would love to come back to Central Library in future with a DNA Manchester exhibition”, she added.
DNA Oasis opens tomorrow, November 2, and runs until January 28, 2017, in the library’s first floor exhibition hall. Entry is free.

Sir Paul McCartney has lashed out at Oasis for saying they’d be “bigger” than his band The Beatles in 1996.
The 73-year-old rocker thinks the group made the “biggest mistake” of their career by saying they’d give the ‘Twist and Shout’ hitmakers a run for their money during a controversial interview with MTV over a decade ago.
Speaking to Q magazine, Paul said:”Oasis were young, fresh and writing good tunes. I thought the biggest mistake they made was when they said ‘We’re going to be bigger than The Beatles’.
“I thought ‘So many people have said that, and it’s the kiss of death.’ Be bigger than The Beatles, but don’t say it. The minute you say it, everything you do from then on is going to be looked at in the light of that statement.”
Noel Gallagher – who was joined by brother and arch-enemy Liam Gallagher in the pioneering Britpop band ,which broke up in August 2009 – was slammed with backlash when he made the claim but he has since stated he has no recollection of making the statement and was probably out of his head on drugs at the time.
He previously admitted: “I might have been high when I said that. I think I was.”Paul’s comments come after the ‘Let It Be’ hitmaker admitted he was gripped by depression and “took to the bevvies” and almost walked away from his music career entirely when the iconic four-piece band – which also included John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr – went their separate ways in 1970.
He recently said: “I was depressed at the time, yeah. You would be. You would be too. I was breaking from my lifelong friends, not knowing whether I was going to continue in music. I took to the bevvies. I took to a wee dram. It was great at first, then suddenly I wasn’t having a good time. It wasn’t working. I wanted to get back to square one, so I ended up forming [his band] Wings.”

The High Flying Birds frontman has said that there would have to be 'extraordinary' circumstances for him to take to the stage with brother Liam Gallagher again.
Speaking in a new interview with Italian radio station Citta, he said: "Oh one, there's a one per cent chance it might happen, but I don’t think so."
The 48-year-old added that he didn't see the 'point' in reuniting as he didn't need to do it for the money or the record sales.
Gallagher added: "There would have to be extraordinary circumstances, cause I wouldn’t do it artistically, I don't need the money, I don't need the record sales.
"I can't think of a reason that I would look to do that. What would be the point? I don't know. I don’t see what the point would be."
Despite claiming that an Oasis reunion wasn't on the cards, Gallagher recently claimed that he'd consider it if Sir Paul McCartney penned them a comeback track.
After the Beatles star publicly said that he'd love the band to get back together, Gallagher told Yahoo:

When asked if he thought the Gallagher brothers will ever make up and if he had any advice for them, he said: “I don’t know if they will ever make up. It would be good because I think everyone likes brothers to like each other – and make up.
“It’s a pity because they are very good together. Like many brothers, they are crazy. But it would be nice if they got together. My advice to them? Just get together and make some good music! But they have got to want to do it. I think a lot of people would like them to do that. They are pretty cool guys!”

Everyone knows the story. As the creative force behind Oasis, Noel Gallagher changed the face of British music. Their sound and his songs swept the nation up in their wake and helped inspire a whole genre, but will far outlive the world of Britpop that they helped define.
Now, as he prepares to release his second solo album Chasing Yesterday, Noel sits down for a special interview with Matt Everitt to kick off the new season of The First Time. Here Noel talks about his very first exposure to music (Country and Irish bands like Dermot Hegarty and Big Tom and The Mainliners as it happens) and how the anthems of the football terraces inspired his childhood.
He also chats about the impact of The Sex Pistols, The Dammed, Leo Sayer (honestly) and his passion for the holy trinity of The Smiths, The Stone Roses and The Jam (and he may well mention The Beatles)
He also looks back on the very first Oasis rehearsal ("Mindblowing") and gig ("Great"), the difficult birth of their debut album Definitely Maybe and the all important issues of what length your guitar strap should be. There's also his memories of meeting Paul McCartney (they shared a meditation bubble), what it's like becoming so famous that when you get a haircut it ends up on the front pages of the tabloids ("the whole business is one huge joke") as well as his realization that Oasis had come to the end of the road and his feelings about stepping up to become a solo artist.

Everyone knows the story. As the creative force behind Oasis, Noel Gallagher changed the face of British music. Their sound and his songs swept the nation up in their wake and helped inspire a whole genre, but will far outlive the world of Britpop that they helped define.
Now, as he prepares to release his second solo album Chasing Yesterday, Noel sits down for a special interview with Matt Everitt to kick off the new season of The First Time. Here Noel talks about his very first exposure to music (Country and Irish bands like Dermot Hegarty and Big Tom and The Mainliners as it happens) and how the anthems of the football terraces inspired his childhood.
He also chats about the impact of The Sex Pistols, The Dammed, Leo Sayer (honestly) and his passion for the holy trinity of The Smiths, The Stone Roses and The Jam (and he may well mention The Beatles)
He also looks back on the very first Oasis rehearsal ("Mindblowing") and gig ("Great"), the difficult birth of their debut album Definitely Maybe and the all important issues of what length your guitar strap should be. There's also his memories of meeting Paul McCartney (they shared a meditation bubble), what it's like becoming so famous that when you get a haircut it ends up on the front pages of the tabloids ("the whole business is one huge joke") as well as his realization that Oasis had come to the end of the road and his feelings about stepping up to become a solo artist.
And, as you would expect, he's as charismatic, honest and funny as ever.

Noel Gallagher doesn't strike you as the type to get starstruck, does he?
Well, the High Flying Birds frontman was certainly a little in awe when he met Sir Paul McCartney for the first time back in 1994.
Reflecting on the experience, Gallagher told BBC Radio 6 Music that McCartney is a "proper geezer", adding that he was invited into the Beatle's meditation bubble in his back garden.
On how he came to be at the McCartney household, he said: "Someone called my flat and said, 'Stella's having a party, do you want to come across?' But they didn't tell me McCartney was going to be there because they thought I might freak out.
"We went to his gaff and Twiggy answered the door. We went in through the doorway and in this room on the left dancing to Desmond Dekker and 'Israelites' was Paul McCartney.
"He said, 'Hey man, great to meet you', and I happened to have a brown suede jacket on that looked very reminiscent of the cover of Rubber Soul. I had longish hair and he said, 'You look like a Beatle', and I said, 'So do you'."
Gallagher said that he had a "great night" with the 'Live and Let Die' singer, adding: "He took me down to the bottom of his garden where he's got this big meditation bubble. Me and him got in and he pressed this button and the bed goes up into a tinier bubble.
"He's an amazing dude - [so] warm, open and brilliant... He's a proper geezer man, I love him."

Morrissey is fucking devastatingly cutting and funny and he's not got a good word to say about anyone or anything and I love him for that. He's misunderstood for sure."

Noel: Second man. All day. When the first High Flying Bird record was released, it was the first thing I was anxious of: me, in the spotlights, the one person that carries all the weight. Playing guitar all night, it’s all I know. Singing the whole night: that's pushing it. But standing in the spotlight that’s not where I feel comfortable. I knew that back then I know it now. I eased my mind by thinking, oh well, we’ll play some theatres and maybe some bigger venues, that will be manageable. But no, the thing grew and grew and in the end I was playing in a full 02 arena. Totally unexpected. Great of course that the tunes we’re liked, but it was never my intention. It’s the only thing that I'm not looking forward to now that I’ll be starting with chapter two: I know how big it could get and I just like being in the centre of the stage. I dare to say that I've grown accustomed to it, I know exactly what to do. But if it was an option I’d put a step to the side right now for a great frontman.
Interviewer: Name a frontman with who you’d feel comfortable?
Noel: Bono, U2. They already have The Edge but I wouldn't have a problem with playing second guitar for them. I’d fit right in. As long as you don’t pass him by. And there are others: David Bowie, even though he works so little that I wouldn't make anything of it. Neil Young, if a positions frees up in Crazy Horse he should call me. Bob Dylan. Paul McCartney. You know, I’d even dare to say Coldplay if I’d only have to play guitar.
Interviewer: Sometimes solutions are closer than you’d think…
Noel: From your view maybe. I see it more likely that I’d play with Coldplay or U2 then any other comparable band.

Beady Eye have parted ways with their manager, it has been confirmed.
The band, fronted by Liam Gallagher and featuring former Oasis members Gem Archer and Andy Bell, were managed by Scott Rodger, who also works with Arcade Fire and Paul McCartney, for the duration of their 'BE' campaign. However, their working relationship has come to an end following the end of the contract signed by both parties.
Paying tribute to the band in a statement given to NME, Rodger says: "Beady Eye are one of the last great British rock bands. It has been a pleasure to have worked with them on this album campaign. They are in complete control of their future as a band with many exciting new projects on the horizon. We've just about reached the end of the 'BE' album cycle and it's the right time for the band to make a change. Our paths will cross again in the future I'm sure. I wish them continued success in everything they do."
Beady Eye released their second album 'BE' in June, 2013. Their debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' was released in 2011.

Damon Albarn, who collected the Award For Innovation at the NME Awards 2014 with Austin, Texas last night (February 26), has said that he would "love" to collaborate with Noel Gallagher in the future.
Albarn and Gallagher were given the Music Moment Of The Year prize for performing together at a Teenage Cancer Trust show in May of last year. The Blur singer also later admitted that the band had written 15 new songs for a new album, but said they won't see the light of day for years.

The Beady Eye frontman wants Jared Leto and Ethan Hawke to star in the movie and has convinced Michael Winterbottom to direct the film about The Beatles' company Apple Corps and the break-up of the group.
A source told The Sun newspaper: ''Liam is going to hold castings in the US in April. A lot of the lead roles are American, so he's keen to find the right names.
''He knows he's not going to manage to entice someone like Brad Pitt but he wants high-calibre people who are more on the indie scene of Hollywood. He thinks actors such as Jared and Ethan would be perfect.''
The former Oasis lead singer, who split from his own band in 2009 after a huge fist-fight with brother and bandmate Noel, is the executive producer of The Longest Cocktail Party and is currently looking for someone to fund his movie.
The source said the 41-year-old star aims to follow in the footsteps of late Beatles guitarist George Harrison, whose company HandMade Films produced hit movies 'Monty Python's Life Of Brian' and 'The Long Good Friday'.
The Beatles - also made up of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and the late John Lennon - made their first debut on US TV 50 years ago and stars gathered for a special tribute show last month at The Los Angeles Convention Centre.
The group formed in Liverpool in 1960 and split in 1970 after Paul said he was quitting the band.
