Catty Liam Gallagher Takes A Swipe At Big Brother Noel

Liam Gallagher has named his cat “Lazy Our Kid” — a swipe at his warring big brother Noel.

The pair fell out when Oasis split in 2009. But there are signs the ice may be thawing. When asked what he thought of Noel referring to Liam’s new band Beady Eye as “Stratford’s finest tribute band” following their performance at the Olympics closing ceremony, the singer said: “I thought that was pretty funny.

“Life's too short to get hung up on things like that.

“I had a great night and met a lot of people you don't normally meet. I met the Spice Girls, who were great.”

Liam admitted he even acknowledged Noel after the ceremony having later bumped into him.

He said: “I met our kid. That was nice. No, we didn't talk much. We had a nod and a wink."

Trainers Owned By Liam And Noel Gallagher To Go On Display In London

The trainer has been worn by hundreds of icons from the sporting elite, such as Mo Farah and Michael Jordan, to pop's finest, including The Spice Girls and Beyonce. Not just a simple exercise shoe, they can have hidden heels such as the Isabel Marant trainers Beyoncé wore in her Love On Top video or be a towering platorm, such as Jeffrey Campbell's rainbow coloured trainers. As we predicted this week they might well be the new heels as Rihanna was spotted wearing Nike Air Jordans with her bodycon dress and Chanel bag.

To celebrate the trainer Javari.co.uk has an exhibition 'Sneaking Into Fashion' from the 18-28 October in Covent Garden Piazza where they will have on display iconic pairs including the private collections from Brit pop Noel and Liam Gallagher and vintage Gucci 1980s tennis shoes. They also have Mo Farah's winning shoes from London 2012 and a pair of Vivienne Westwood trainers from her collaboration with The Sex Pistols manager Malcolm Maclaran.

Look out for the pair of Kanye West Yeezys bought at auction for a staggering $90,000. Yep, you heard us right, $90,000 for a pair of trainers.

Noel Gallagher On Russell Brand Sleeping With A Spice Girl And More

Noel Gallagher has spoken about Russell Brand's appearance at the closing of the Olympic Games in London last month.

He told the current issue of Q Magazine "I sent him a message straight after the Olympics, saying words to the efeect of, 'After two weeks of glory, to have it left to a f**king junkie in a top hat murdering The Beatles to round off what was a brilliant celebration of Great Britain'.

He added: "He's on tour at the minute and he plays that message to the crowd every night. Then he calls me on my answering machine - it's become part of his act. I don't answer the phone, because I know what he's f**king doing. So I get all of these messages every morning. The people of Weston-Super-Mare are in hysterics, with him saying "Murdering The Beatles? At least I didn't dig' em up and base my career on 'em'. But you know at least I'm not shagging Geri Halliwell. I mean f**king hell, out of all The Spice Girls - not ginger."

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds embark on a UK tour in September and will tour the US and Canada alongside Snow Patrol and Jake Bugg later this year.

Liam Gallagher: "Russell Brand Is A Dick"

The Beady Eye frontman said that he had no interest in the comedian's relationships, including his recent 13-day romance with Geri Halliwell.

"Russell's a dick. I don't really care about any of his relationships," he told the Daily Star.

"All I know is anyone can do better than go out with him. I get on with Geri, she's all right.

"We've both got small dogs so we meet on Hampstead Heath sometimes."

Russell Brand is known to be a good friend of the musician's brother Noel Gallagher, with the comic "demanding" to be in one of his music videos.

Liam hung out with the Spice Girls after the London 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony, where they both performed alongside Brand.

He said: "The Spice Girls were a lot better on the booze than I thought after the Olympics.

"They're not bad for old dears. They'll never outlast me though, no-one will. I'm not saying I'm a God, but I'm not far off."

Oasis, One Direction And The Spice Girls Most 'Scrobbled' Artists Following Olympic Closing Ceremony

Oasis, One Direction and the Spice Girls were the top three artists streamed via Last.fm following the Olympic Closing Ceremony according to data from the digital music service.

By recording trends in ‘scrobbling’ - where Last.fm keeps a record of every track listened to on various digital platforms - the platform's live data found that the music event greatly impacted listening habits.

Wonderwall by Oasis was the most scrobbled track after Liam Gallagher performed the seminal single under the moniker of his new band Beady Eye.

One Direction hit What Makes You Beautiful was second place on the list with Spice Girls Spice Up Your Life taking third place.

Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here and Muse Survival rounded off the top five with John Legend, The Who and Queen all making appearances in the top ten.

George Michael’s Freedom-90 was bottom of the pops and received a relatively low-level of listeners on Sunday night.

The performances also created a natural spike in listening habits, with the majority of acts benefitting from increased listeners following their appearance.

The spikes occurred shortly after the Spice Girls, Beady Eye (Oasis), John Lennon (performance of Imagine), Pink Floyd (performance of Wish You Were Here), The Who and One Direction took to the stage.

Liam Gallagher And The Spice Girls Party Till Dawn After Olympic Closing Ceremony

Fifteen years the Spice Girls and Liam Gallagher were trading insults in the press and at awards shows.

But it appears time and growing older has soothed old wounds as the former Nineties foes ended up partying together at the Olympics Closing Ceremony after-party last night.

Despite their past, four out of five of the Spice Girls ended up chatting and posing for photos with the former Oasis frontman following their performances at the Olympic Stadium.

Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell managed to keep partying until sunrise as they posed for a photo in a garden with Liam.

After Mel B tweeted a photo taken earlier of the Spice Girls (sans Victoria) with Liam at the party, Mel C admitted her surprise at how things had changed.

She tweeted: 'Love @liamgallagher "come and 'ave a go!"'

Liam famously started a war of words with the Spice Girls in 1997 when he declared he wouldn't go the Brit Awards because 'if I bump into the Spice Girls I will smack them'.

As the five-piece accepted their Brit Award that year, Mel C challenged Liam to criticise them face-to-face, shouting: 'Come and 'ave a go if you think you're hard enough.'

While 'Baby Spice' and 'Ginger Spice' had changed out of their on-stage ensembles for the party, 'Scary Spice' was still wearing her Zuhair Murad catsuit.
