Liam Gallagher took a seat at the City of Manchester Stadium last night to watch the FA Cup 3rd Round Replay between Manchester City and Leicester City.
After initially drawing the first leg 2-2, the replay did not disappoint, ending 4-2 to the home team. The pick of the goals, a great solo effort and unstoppable shot from Carlos Tevez.
At the final whistle Liam took some time to answer questions and also meet the Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini. Manchester City will now travel to Meadow Lane to face Notts County in the 4th Round of the FA Cup.

So we rehearsed that one one, then we did 'We Love You' by the Stones, but we thought, F**k it, this one is more obscure. I saw them at the Ritz in Manchester. They were a top band. They were Pulp before pulp were pop.

A light psychedelic acoustic number. Like the Beach Boys on acid, or John Lennon when high. Liam vocals and the slide guitar a smooth. A cute little charming song.

Liam and the boys are searching for the answer of "what is rock'n roll?" and are well on the road.

A Dark bluesy-rock feels a bit like Neil Young. Different from the more uplifting melodies running through the rest of the album. There is an intertwining guitar and vocal solo, that never happened in Oasis .
Bring The Light
A quick, familiar, and memorable Beady Eye tune. Like a Jerry Lee Lewis-style boogie piano, or 70's Stones. It's simple, straightforward rock and roll but obviously, "Not Oasis". This track shows Beady Eye's pride and fighting spirit. They are saying "Let the gear change, it'll still rock and roll," C'mon baby!
For Anyone
Inspirational pop melody reminiscent of "Songbird." It's a gentle tune with some atmosphere. Aspects drawn from the Beatles, in a good way. Pretty impressive. It has 60s pop style rhythm, with fairly cliched love song lyrics.
Kill For A Dream
Like "Champagne Supernova" it's also likely to please the fans, a super ballad masterpiece! The "Na na na" chorus reminds you of "Hey Jude". This song sounds the most "like Oasis" of anything on the album.
Standing On The Edge Of The Noise
Glam rock explosion. Like "Bring the Light" but much harder. Liam's roughest vocals on the album. A combination of "Drive My Car" and "Get Back". So basically like mid-late Beatles.
Wigwam
The strings can hear sound and groove, psychedelic and modern rock. The "Sha La La" chorus makes "All Around the World" sound like a pipe dream. It feels like the climax/finale of the album. Liam sings in falsetto, Liam sounds like he did when he was young.
The Ring Circus
Sounds like John Lennon rock 'n roll with some heavy blues-rock atmosphere. There are points in the chorus where the vocals are somewhat reminiscent of Oasis. Sounds like it would have fit onto Oasis next album, had there been one. Sounds like where Oasis were going?
The Beat Goes On
Like a John Lennon ballad then Liam pauses for a bit then there is a dramatic explosion of sound into something that is reminiscent of a medley of tunes from Abbey Road and For Anyone. A sweet and gentle vocal.
The Morning Son
Starts acoustically and then dramatically expands when the drums come in into an epic tune, worthy of being on the album. There are reverse guitar and strings to boost the sound. May remind some of "Whatever"

Gem Archer has told Mojo that there is a bit of Rolling Stones and Elvis Presley in the new Beady Eye album ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ that's released on February 28th on the band's own record label.
The guitarist said" "We rehearsed it, we had it almost like a set, so we could put a lot of these songs down live. The word 'psychedelia' has been used. I always say that is a very large word, almost meaningless to some people. So I would just say 'colourful'. There's a bit of Brian Jones-era Stones, a bit of Elvis. When I say the psychedelia thing, I'd compare it to when The Kinks were slightly psychedelic. Most of it's stripped down in a kind of kitchen-sink way, and almost always trying to keep a light on it's feet., like a debut album should be. I still remember the term 'jukebox classic', tunes you'd stick on in the pub.
Also speaking to Mojo about Beady Eye's debut album, was front man Liam Gallagher who said "It's not soppy ballardy shit. They're some good ballsy tunes. I mean, a couple of tunes are just a bit slower than the rest, but they've got a bit of balls. It's 90 per cent rocking. If Oasis were black and white this is proper, proper Technicolour."

The former Supergrass frontman is looking forward to albums from the ex-Oasis guitarist and his singer brother - who now fronts Beady Eye - but thinks Noel will be the more experimental of the two.
He told BANG Showbiz: "Beady Eye - it's very Liam, if there was anything you'd expect him to bring out, that sums him up. That hold on John Lennon is still very apparent.
"I think that's what's important really when you embark on a new project, to express what you want and how you sing naturally, and that's what he's done.

There’s plenty of classics to choose from, but is there one album released on the Creation label you hold closest to your heart?
Alan: Probably the first Oasis album or Trashmonk – ‘Mona Lisa Overdrive’ which I love.
So what of Oasis’ break up? It certainly seems to have reinvigorated Liam, and there’s lots expected from Noel’s album. Do you think by 2009 a split had become the best thing for the brothers?
Alan: Yeah, they needed to go do their own thing which they are doing.
Not long after they split you expected a reunion within five years. Do you still hold that opinion?
Alan: Let’s see. I still think it’s unfinished business.
Did you get the same buzz from listening to some of Noel’s new material as you did when hearing tracks from ‘Definitely Maybe’ and ‘…Morning Glory’ all those years ago?
Alan: Well his new songs are the best thing I have heard since the Glasvegas demos. To be honest, it’s only the Gallaghers and Glasvegas I like in modern music, other than that it’s still The Beatles for me.
You could almost call Beady Eye a Creation band since former label mates Gem Archer and Andy Bell are still involved. People should be well aware of Andy Bell’s career before Oasis, but what of Gem Archer? Do you feel Heavy Stereo were a band with unfulfilled potential?

John Mackie
John was born and raised in Glasgow and spent a lot of time listening to his parent’s wide choice of music from Elvis, Johnny Cash to Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison.
A move to Manchester in 88 prompted an early interest in the music scene from hanging out with his older cousin who along with his friends were huge fans of the early 90s scene.
John began to develop his own musical opinion with his own personal influences, this became more than just listening but the want and need to perform and express.
John’s music is honest and truthful and maybe closer to reality than some people will want to get but that’s the way he is. John Mackie is not about to make music that you can listen to comfortably in the background whilst sipping your wine and gazing into the eyes of your loved one.
It’s about being given a healthy and much needed dose of honesty.. not sanitised for the X Factor TV market.. anger not angst.
Plus to top that off he is joined by a fantastic backline with the legendary Bonehead from Oasis on guitar duties to bring you John’s own interpretation on sound and songs.

A move to Manchester in 88 prompted an early interest in the music scene from hanging out with his older cousin who along with his friends were huge fans of the early 90s scene.
John began to develop his own musical opinion with his own personal influences, this became more than just listening but the want and need to perform and express.
John’s music is honest and truthful and maybe closer to reality than some people will want to get but that’s the way he is. John Mackie is not about to make music that you can listen to comfortably in the background whilst sipping your wine and gazing into the eyes of your loved one.
It’s about being given a healthy and much needed dose of honesty.. not sanitised for the X Factor TV market.. anger not angst.
Plus to top that off he is joined by a fantastic backline with the legendary Bonehead from Oasis on guitar duties to bring you John’s own interpretation on sound and songs.

We first told you back in August of 2009 that Noel Gallagher had been speaking to members of the Sand Band about joining his new backing band. The Guardian has now released a review of the Sandband's debut album confirming the lead singer's participation in Noel's band.
The Sand Band's singer and guitarist David McDonnell will be playing in Noel Gallagher's new backing band, but don't hold that against him. In this instance, the elder Gallagher's ears are clearly in perfect nick: the Liverpudlian quintet's debut album is excellent. Its chief influences are drawn from either side of the Pennines, namely the more wistful, folk side of fellow Scouser Michael Head, leader of Gallagher favourites Shack, as well as the shimmering ballads of Sheffield's Richard Hawley. Somehow, McConnell is even more melancholic than either, making this the ideal accompaniment to a quietly nursed pint.

The man credited with discovering Oasis has revealed he wants Rhys Ifans to play him in a movie about the story of Creation Records.
It’s an apt choice for Creation Records supremo Alan McGee, who has settled in Hay-On-Wye. Not only is the Welsh Notting Hill star a friend, but he once fronted an incarnation of Super Furry Animals before they signed to McGee’s seminal label.
And in the video for the Oasis hit The Importance of Being Idle, Ifans played the part of a high-kicking funeral director.
Opening up on possible movie projects in the pipeline, McGee told Wales on Sunday: “There are two ideas – a druggie one and one that’s more serious. Me, Tim Abbot of Creation Records and Rhys would all love to be in a movie about Creation.
“Creation is something that I’ve had nothing but success with, so I know a movie about it would work. Rhys spends most of the time in Spain now [where he has a farm in Majorca]. He is a genius and he is my friend and I would love him to play me in the Creation story which would cover all the emotions.”
He added: “We would all like to work together to cultivate the idea and my character but I’m not going to reveal too much about it just yet.
“The other movie idea would combine Creation and me as a maverick music guy with the stories of Malcolm McLaren (late Sex Pistols manager) and Tony Wilson (the Factory Records and Happy Mondays manager).”
McGee famously co-founded the Creation Records label in 1983, which was home to such ’80s and ’90s luminaries as The Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream, Teenage Fanclub, Super Furry Animals, My Bloody Valentine, The House of Love and – most famously – Oasis.
McGee is already the main subject of Upside Down:The Creation Records Story, a new documentary expected to be available as a DVD and to be broadcast on TV screens from April. The film, named after the Mary Chain’s 1984 debut single, features interviews with JAMC’s Jim Reid, Bobbie Gillespie of Primal Scream and Oasis’s Noel Gallagher.
McGee said: “Danny O’Conner who directs Upside Down is a genius and he managed to get just about everybody involved in it to take part. But Liam Gallagher didn’t go in it because Danny was scared that if they both appeared it would turn into the Oasis Show, and Noel thought that too.”
Meanwhile, McGee said he was getting used to the peace of the Mid Wales countryside – as well as its flip side.
“I moved to Wales for the quiet life and I should be getting a bus pass!
“But I love it here even more than Scotland; the people here are the sweetest I’ve ever met. As a result of Upside Down I’m going to be attending about every film festival going this year.
“But I like nothing better than DJ-ing at a pub in Mountain Ash, with 300 people singing songs by Oasis and the Beatles’ All You Need Is Love for hours on end.”
