Liam Gallagher Says His Truce With Noel Was 'In My Head'

Liam Gallagher speaking about calling a truce with his brother.

He said "In my head [we called a truce]. Because it's Christmas innit and me mam's always going, 'Look, calm down,' so I had a couple of drinks and thought, you know, I'll put it out there. But it's not happening, is it? ... No, no - I went there [to the Chiltern Firehouse] and he wasn't there. He wasn't meant to be there, but that's where him and all his posh mates go, so I thought I'd steam down there and see what they gotta say. I just went down there looking for a bit of trouble and that but there was none of 'em about. They were all probably at home, counting their money ... We've not made up."

Richard Madeley Claims Again That Liam And Noel Gallagher Robbed His House

Richard Madeley told 'Good Morning Britain' this morning that Liam and Noel Gallagher once "robbed his house".

He said: "Him and his brother used to live quite close to us when we used to live in Manchester and they admitted in the early stages of their career they did a little bit of robbery, a little bit of burglary and we think they did our house. "I spoke to them about it, and we spoke about it, it was many years ago and they've probably forgotten about it now and they said 'yeah I think we did that one yeah, went in through the window yeah'".

Richard then laughed along with newsreader Sean Fletcher, who said: "That's brilliant."

Co-host Kate Garraway sat open-mouthed and said: "Oh my goodness, oh crikey."

He told old Absolute Radio in 2011 how he and his wife had been asleep at home when someone broke in.

He said "We had put it to them that maybe they were the ones who came through our house at 4am in the morning. “Unfortunately they can’t remember as they were out of it.”

Liam Gallagher On His 'Villain Of The Year' Noel Gallagher

Liam Gallagher said his brother Noel was “worse than Donald Trump” as he arrived at the NME Awards.

The former Oasis star, who has a turbulent relationship with his sibling, was asked who his villain of the year was as he attended the ceremony.

“Gotta be Noel,” he told the Press Association.

“I’m being serious. You’re laughing, but he’s worse than Kim-Jun f*****g Tung or whatever he’s called.

“And he’s worse than Donald Trump. He’s the biggest liar and biggest faker in the business, so yeah, him.”

“He’s worse than Piers Morgan as well,” he added.

Gallagher continued: “Me and my brother made some good music. And I guess the attitude was just as important as the music.”

Liam Gallagher On His Plans For 2018, His Next Album And More

Liam Gallagher has revealed that he plans to start work on another “good rock ‘n’ roll album at the VO5 NME Awards 2018. Watch our video interview with Liam above.

Gallagher was in attendance to claim this year’s Godlike Genius Award. On the red carpet, we took a moment to ask him about what it means – where he took a dig at previous winner brother Noel, and his recent album of ‘cosmic pop’.

“I don’t know, there have been a lot of knobheads that have won this award,” Gallagher told NME. “I know what it’s like to be me, you know what I mean? Has it changed me? No, I always thought I was Godlike from the day I was fucking born – and no award ain’t gonna change it.”

Asked about his plans for 2018, Gallagher replied: “Hopefully the same, man. I guess the pressure is off a little bit. The last year was mega, so hopefully we can just go in and do some festivals, get in the studio and do a little more – but it will be less pressure.”

And as for his next album?

“I just want to make good music, you know what I mean? I don’t want to reinvent the wheel, you know what I mean? I don’t want to do cosmic pop. I don’t want to make grime music. I want to make good music with a rock ‘n’ roll vibe.”
