XFM have confirmed to us that they will be broadcasting the full show live from Oasis' show at The Roundhouse on Tuesday July 21.

It will be in Steve Harris’s show from 7pm (UK) onwards.

XFM are also still running an online competition to win tickets to the iTunes show at www.xfm.co.uk/itunes - closes at midday tomorrow!

Oasis At Benicassim Stage Times

Oasis will take to the stage tonight at 23:00 (local time) 00:00 (UK time) at the 15th edition of the Benicassim festival, one of Europe's biggest annual music gatherings, in eastern Spain later today.

Wonder-Wail For Some Oasis Fans

Hundreds of Oasis fans were left disappointed after 3,400 tickets to see the rock giants at Bridlington Spa were snapped up within minutes.

Tickets for the August 20 concert sold out almost instantly over the internet yesterday, with sales hotlines jammed throughout the morning.

Dozens of fans camped outside the venue on Tuesday night in a bid to get hold of tickets for next month's gig when they went on sale at the box office at 10am.

First in the queue were sisters Lauren, 21, and 19-year-old Abbie Jamieson, of Westgate, Bridlington, who settled in their spot outside the Spa main entrance at 3pm on Tuesday.

Lauren said: "It's definitely worth it. The atmosphere will be great as it's such a small venue for Oasis. I just can't wait"

Their friend Charlotte Taylor, 21 of Flamborough, also camped overnight and said the atmosphere in the queue was fantastic.

She said: "A lad had a guitar and there were lots of sing-alongs – all Oasis songs obviously!"

But many fans were left empty-handed when the Spa began turning away fans shortly after 11am, despite them queuing for hours.

Richard Smith, of Bridlington, joined the queue at 4am yesterday and was left "gutted" after being turned away empty-handed.

"I was about three metres away from the front when they started telling us they'd sold out. I was absolutely gutted. There were people pushing in all over the place, surely the Spa could've got some security or a ticket-slip system to deal with it," he said.

"They should've given everyone in the queue a numbered ticket or something so that they could hand it over when they got to the box office."

Oasis Tickets Latest: Council Issues Statement

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has issued the following statement following criticisms about today's sale of tickets for the Oasis concert at Bridlington Spa next month.

"The Spa Bridlington experienced unprecedented demand for the Oasis concert with tickets selling out within 90 minutes.

"It is a credit to the professionalism of everyone involved with The Spa that the venue is able to attract artistes of this calibre.

"Some tickets were available from the venue while the majority were allocated for national sales.

"Tickets were made valuable on a first come, first served basis and a maximum of four tickets per person, with some fans camping out overnight.

"Queueing was in the main orderly with staff and barriers ensuring that tickets were allocated fairly.

"We understand the disappointment of anyone who didn't get tickets but hope those who did will enjoy the concert."

Oasis' Noel Gallagher: 'Days Of Blur Rivalry Have Long Gone'

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has said the days of the band's bitter Britpop rivalry with Blur are over.

Various music publications have attempted to re-ignite the feud this year following Blur's decision to reform.

But in a message on Oasis' website, Gallagher said he hoped both band's members had “grown up a little” since the mid-90s.

TV presenter Jonathan Ross attempted to question the guitarist about the era on his radio show last Saturday.

However, Gallagher, who pre-recorded the show on the Friday, refused to respond negatively to Ross' questions.

Writing about the interview, Gallagher said: “He's a naughty boy, Jonathan. He was determined to try and get me to have a pop at the Blur re-union. Not this time.

“Those days are long gone. Although it was fun at the time I'd like to think we've all grown up a little bit since then. He has, and it was funny though.”

Oasis played a sold-out show at the Eden Project in Cornwall last night.

The gig followed their three-night concert residency at London's Wembley Stadium last weekend.

Noel Gallagher: 'Jonathan Ross Is A Naughty Boy'

Noel Gallagher has called broadcaster Jonathan Ross a "naughty boy" after he tried to get him to insult Blur following their recent reunion.

The Oasis guitarist wrote on his blog that he was no longer interested in the rivalry both bands shared during the 1990s.

Gallagher said: "Went and done an interview with Johnny Ross. He's a naughty boy, Jonathan. He was determined to try and get me to have a pop at the Blur reunion. Not this time.

"Those days are long gone. Although it was fun at the time I'd like to think we've all grown up a little bit since then. He has, and it was funny though."

Gallagher has previously said that he had heard the Blur comeback gigs had gone well, while he admitted that the reunion would be exciting for fans of the band.

Oasis To Kick Off Benicassim Festival In Spain

British rock band Oasis was on Thursday due to open the 15th edition of the Benicassim festival, one of Europe's biggest annual music gatherings, in eastern Spain.

Tens of thousands of music fans were expected in the Mediterranean resort town north of Valencia for the event, which lasts until Sunday and features about 100 concerts.

Other acts scheduled to perform included Grammy-winning US foursome the Kings of Leon, Scottish band Franz Ferdinand and British pop singer Lily Allen.

The electronica and alternative pop rock music festival has been held each year since 1995. It also features short films, theatre and dance performances.

Last year the festival drew over 148,000 people over its four days, with a huge amount of participants coming from outside of Spain.

Oasis Brave The Rain To Play Rescheduled Eden Project Gig

'Get orf my laaand!' intones Noel Gallagher to the Cornish audience

Oasis played Cornwall's Eden Project last night (July 14), taking to the stage as the heavens opened.

The rescheduled gig was originally due to take place last September, but was postponed after Noel Gallagher was attacked and injured onstage in Toronto.

Coming onstage after support act Howard Eliot Payne, Oasis were introduced by Eden Project's event manager, who praised the band for their persistence in endeavouring to honour the gig. He also asked the crowd not to "piss on the plants" of the renowned greenhouse on their way out.

Playing exactly the same set as their final Wembley Stadium gig on Sunday (July 12), the band showcased material stretching right back to their 1994 debut album 'Definitely Maybe'.

Oasis also gave a shout out to Cornwall's Sawmills Studio (where 'Definitely Maybe' was part-recorded), dedicating 'Cigarettes And Alcohol' to the riverside complex.

After playing a Noel Gallagher-sung version of 'Whatever', the chief songwriter feigned disappointment that much of the crowd didn't seem to know the song's lyrics.

"It still amazes me how little you lot know the words to that song," he joked, adding "I'm the only one in the whole building that does and I didn't even buy it!"

Before playing the first song of Oasis' encore, 'Falling Down', Gallagher geed up the crowd by getting them to chant "Get off my land!" in a Cornish accent.

Writing on his Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere blog before the gig, the guitarist revealed he'd had to endure an arduous train journey down to the south west for the gig.

"Am currently on a train in Devon heading to the Eden Project. Doing that gig we had to cancel last August!! I must go as I need to strangle a child that's been crying all the way from London!"

Oasis Fans' Disappointment Over 'Ticket Farce'

Elation and despair were the overwhelming feelings amongst hundreds of Oasis fans queuing for tickets outside Bridlington Spa this morning.

Those lucky enough to bag a golden ticket to the one-off intimate gig next month were over the moon, but many fans were left unhappy that after hours of queuing they still left the venue empty-handed.

Richard Smith of Redwood Way joined the queue at 4am this morning and was left 'gutted' after being turned away empty-handed.

"I was about three meters away from the front when they started telling us they'd sold out.

"I was absolutely gutted. There were people pushing in all over the place, surely the Spa could've got some security or a ticket-slip system to deal with it.

"They should've given everyone in the queue a numbered ticket or something so that they could hand it over when they got to the box office.

"It's a simple thing and would've meant all those who'd queued for hours would've got a ticket."

Kerry Tipping had travelled across from Hornsea to be in the queue for 5am and did not get a ticket.

"It's disgusting," she said. "When we joined the queue, we counted just 150 people in front of us, yet we still didn't get a ticket.
"How does that work?"

Suzanne Morley, whose son and daughter also queued for hours and came away empty-handed, said that the whole thing was 'a farce'.

She was upset that hundreds of tickets were sold on the internet, leaving those queuing out in the cold

"There are a lot of unhappy people today some who have queued since 2am this morning and not got any tickets," she said.

Tickets for the August 20 concert went on sale at 10am but sold out within minutes over the internet, with sales hotlines being jammed
throughout the morning.

Ticketmaster sold out by 10.30am and the Spa had to turn away fans shortly after 11am.

Oasis Tickets Sold Out For Bridlington Gig

Less than half an hour after tickets went on sale, fans are reporting that Oasis' Bridlington gig has sold out.

The £44.50 tickets are already for sale on auction website eBay, but one fan who tried to buy on the phone and online said: "It impossible to buy through booking agents. All say sold out if you try to book on line and all numbers are engaged.

"The 0871 numbers get a BT announcement saying how busy the network is."

Fans have been queuing overnight in heavy rain outside the Spa to secure their places at the August 20 gig.

Oasis Go Supersonic At Eden

Forget the rumours they’re splitting. Forget the half-hearted reviews they’ve had for the preceding stadium gigs. Forget all the negativity about Oasis being past their prime.

This – the 40th – Eden Session was spectacular.

The weather may have been atrocious but nothing could dampen the spirits of the 6,000-strong crowd.

After a forgettable support slot by Howard Eliot Payne, the former singer with Oasis faves The Stands sounding like a scouse Dylan, the excitement built until Liam swaggered on stage in an over-sized parka and the band burst into de rigeur opener Rock N Roll Star, followed in quick succession by the glam stomp of Lyla and last year’s furious Shock of the Lightning.

The band was on fire and there was no let-up. Cigarettes and Alcohol – the first big singalong of the night, which was dedicated to Sawmills Studio, near Fowey, where the band recorded debut album Definitely Maybe back in 1994 – was followed by an effervescent Roll With It.

As they played To Be Where There’s Life and I’m Outta Time from last year’s Dig Out Your Soul, Liam stalked the stage with bundles of attitude. If he didn’t have that rare star presence you wouldn’t be blamed for thinking him a buffoon of the highest order as he sticks the tambourine in his mouth, looking like he’s in need of care in the community, for the 30th time.

Noel, on the other hand, is a lovely fella as we’ve suspected all along and, whisper it, is probably a better frontman than Liam.

Delivering towering versions of The Masterplan, Whatever and Half The World Away (the theme from The Royle Family, all you Oasis non-fans), his voice was strong and his humour contagious, admonishing the crowd for getting the words wrong and making us all shout “get off moi laaaand” in our best Cornish accents.

The band were exceptional – we mustn’t forget former Ride man Andy Bell on bass, ex-Heavy Stereo frontman Gem Archer on guitar and new drummer Chris Sharrock, who has previously been in The Lightning Seeds and World Party. The keyboard player was dubbed the Totnes Monster by Noel, ensuring the Cornish audience booed a Devon intruder in their midst.

The last third of the concert was among the most incendiary, life-affirming moments I’ve ever witnessed – Wonderwall, Supersonic, Live Forever, Don’t Look Back In Anger, Champagne Supernova, they just kept on coming as the crowd sang back every line.

Going back to their roots, the band ended with their cover of The Beatles’ I Am The Walrus recalling the spite and spunk of their early days.

Oasis seemed like a different band to the half-arsed workhorse I last saw in 2002 and this was an Eden Session to rival Pulp, Rufus Wainwright and Muse for magnificence.

We waited almost a year for this postponed concert and it was worth every second – mad for it!

Patsy Against Her Two Boys Being Rockers

Holby City star Patsy Kensit says she doesn't want her sons to follow in their rock star dads' footsteps.

During an appearance on the iTunes Festival she said she wanted James, whose dad is Simple Minds star Jim Kerr, and Lennon, her son with Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, to resist becoming musicians.

She said: "Both their dads want them to play instruments, but the boys rejected it.

"They've both got great voices they are very musical and love singing.

"I want them to be doctors or lawyers, of course."

Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere

Phew! Thank the good Lord that weekend's over. Been absolutely ruined by the Wembley smash up. Still feeling like a little lump of dog-shit and it's fuckin' Tuesday!!

Anyway, here's the story - what I can remember of it, at least!

Thursday night had a bit of a Thursday night feel to it, if you know what I mean? Incidentally, what a shit night Thursday night has become! No Top Of The Pops. No Coronation Street. Nothing. I bet nothing of any significance has ever happened on a Thursday - in the world of Rock'N'Roll, that is. I bet Altamont wasn't on a Thursday. I bet Shea Stadium wasn't on a Thursday. Knebworth wasn't on a Thursday. We should fuck Thursday off anyway. Cut it back to a 6 day week.

The gig was really good, for a Thursday. The best thing about it though was the magnificent green leather jacket Serge was wearing. Too good for a Thursday.

Friday was a bit of a lazy day. Went and done an interview with Johnny Ross. He's a naughty boy, Jonathan. He was determined to try and get me to have a pop at the Blur re-union. Not this time. Those days are long gone. Although it was fun at the time I'd like to think we've all grown up a little bit since then. He has, and it was funny though.

Saturday was altogether a different kettle of fish. What a night. One of THOSE nights. What an atmosphere! It pissed down but that only added to it. Easily one of the best nights ever. There was some moments, let me tell you. If you were in that crowd, and if I wore a hat I'd doff it in your general direction. I wouldn't go as far as Mr Bruno saying, "You're the best fans in the world". As Arsene Wenger once said, "Everybody thinks they have the most beautiful wife", or even more ludicrously (is that a word? ..it is now!!), "You're the best human beings in the world!"?? Nonsense! My kids are the best human beings in the world. Fact. BUT the version of "Don't Look Back In Anger" was very special indeed.

Which brings us to Sunday. Party time. Another very special night. Lots of friends in attendance. Great, great gig. Not as good as the piss up after though. 9'n'half hours we was in that dressing room. Drinking, dancing, smoking and talking shite. A colossal end to an epic weekend.

Am currently on a train in Devon heading to the Eden Project. Doing that gig we had to cancel last August!!

I must go as I need to strangle a child that's been crying all the way from London!

10:30pm: As we wait for the encore, I must say, this has to be one of the best Eden Sessions yet. It hasn't disappointed one bit - even in the rain.
They most certainly live up to the legend even if Liam looks like a maniac waiting for a bus...
Noel just asked everyone to say "Get off moi laaaand", as they smash into Don't Look Back in Anger - they just keep on coming.

10:20pm: Some lucky bugger just got Liam's tambourine - fresh from his mouth!
They're playing Live Forever now - and sounding like the best band ever!

10:20pm: The hits just keep rolling off their guitars, with She'sElectric - surely the biggest anthem sing-along at Eden ever? and now Supersonic - it just keeps getting better!

10:15pm: Liam's back with one off their new album, which sounds a little like Fleetwood Mac doing James Bond, I'm Outta Time. It's not bad for that, though.
Largely a hit-friendly set which has gone down really well with a sell-out 6,000 bodied crowd.
See, now it's Wonderwall - to huge cheers.

10:10pm: And now for the theme tune to the Royale Family and rip-off of a Bacharach, Half The World Away.
We love it though, and proves to be a warm sing-along to scare away the rain.

10:05pm: "That one's for the hangover - just about kicked in" says Liam.
"Thanks me luvvers" says Noel as he launches into a solo of Whatever. Lovely. A rare outing for this lost gem of a Christmas single. Funnily enough it is Gem playing harmonica solo.

10.00pm: My Big Mouth comes from one of the forgotten albums.
They look, sound and feel like a proper band, not the chancers who often populate this stage. Yes, I'm talking to you, Razorlight.

9:55pm: The Liam swagger is unbelievable - their intro to (What's The Story) Morning Glory massive.
He is a knob though, with his tambourine in his mouth. My missus is going crazy.

9:51pm: "What's all this about then?" asks Liam, in his infinate wisdom about the Eden Project...

9:50pm: Liam's best Lennon impression just revisited with Songbird. Now this one for the lovely ladies - Slide Away, from waaay back in '94.

9:45pm: It sounds amazing, and the visuals are brilliant. Boos for Totnes Monster new drummer Chris Sharrock. But nothing else matters now - they're playing the classics. Here comes Masterplan.

9:40: Next up, a song off their latest album - What It Is. Or a wee break for most. We want their old stuff, which I guess might mean they've become their own tribute.

Tom Clarke Slams Rumours His Band Weren't Up To Supporting Oasis

The Enemy's frontman Tom Clarke has hit back over claims the band pulled out of supporting Oasis at Wembley Stadium because they couldn't be bothered.

The Coventry trio said that they were forced to pull out of their performance on July 11 because their singer Tom fell ill.

"The fact of the matter is we smashed a hole in Wembley for two nights and we couldn't do one because I had a reaction to some lillies," he told Radio 1.

"It's pathetic that in 2009 a man can't walk past a lily without getting a sore throat but what can you do?"

This is the second time The Enemy have pulled out of a support slot during Oasis' UK tour.

Last month, Clarke's band were forced to cancel a performance at Heaton Park because he was struck down with food poisoning.

Reports at the time suggested that the singer believed Oasis were "past it", prompting Liam Gallagher to criticise the band on his Twitter page.

But Clarke was quick to point out that he was misunderstood.

Now, Clarke has hit back and launched a scathing attack on music journalists.

"There's not that many interesting bands around at the minute," he said.

"There's us, Kasabian, Oasis, maybe Muse but to be honest they've been quiet for a bit, Reverened And The Makers and that's pretty much it.

"So all these petty little music journalists have to sit in a room and decide what they're going to write about and normally they pick on the exciting bands and then try and make it more exciting.
