Ed Sheeran And Noel Gallagher Have Kissed And Made Up

Ed Sheeran and Noel Gallagher have had the shortest feud ever.

According to Ed, the pair have already kissed and made up after their fallout last week.

The Oasis rocker, 47, said of the flame-haired singer: “I can’t live in a world where Ed Sheeran sells out Wembley stadium.”

But it’s all water under the bridge for Ed, who texted him as soon as he saw the interview in NME.

The Thinking Out Loud superstar, 23, said: “I read what he said, I texted him because I have his number and asked him if he’d like some tickets.

“He wrote back, ‘You cheeky so and so. My daughter would love some.’”

Ed added: “He’s always going to be the guy who’s outspoken. I wasn’t offended. I found it quite cool to be in his interview.”

But despite being pals with Hollywood A-listers like Jennifer Aniston, 45, and Taylor Swift, 25, Ed isn’t about to up sticks and move across the pond.

That’s because he reckons the Press here keep him grounded.

He told Radio 2: “I get a lot of stick from Press and people, but it’s good to get stick. That’s why Americans go off the rails. Ego wise you are risen and risen and risen. Your ego grows.

“If you speak to anyone from Adele to Chris Martin, they would say they are grounded cos they get a hiding from press.”

Noel Gallagher On Oasis, Led Zeppelin, The Smiths, And The Jam Reforming

Noel Gallagher has told the current issue of Q that he would only reform Oasis for the money and that Michael Eavis has not got enough money for Oasis to reform at Glastonbury.

He said "Nobody has made us an offer. I've been in the same room as Liam, and even then nobody's said, 'Weren't Oasis great? You should reform.' But if I was ever going to do it, it would only be for the money. This isn't me putting it out there, by the way.  Would I do it for charity? No way. We're not that kind of people. For Glastonbury? I don't think Michael Eavis has got enough money. But would we get back together? As long as everybody is still alive and still has their hair, it's always a possibility. But only for the money. Look at The Stone Roses. When you're constantly getting asked if you're going to re-form, you can only keep saying 'no' until you say, 'yes'. I've never spoken to John Squire about this, but it's like John got bullied into saying, 'yes'. Now the Roses have re-formed, no one mentions them any more."

He Added "I think it's ingrained in English psyche - this idea that the glory days, the Empire, are behind us. Led Zeppelin! The Smiths! The Jam. They should all reform! Why? So a load of middle-aged people can stand in the 02 and go, 'they're not as good as they used to be'. It'd be the same with Oasis. 'Yeah, we're not as good as we used to be'".

Q magazine is on sale from Tuesday.

Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green Enters US Market

British men’s wear label Pretty Green, founded and designed by former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, is poised to break into the US market via a joint venture with Empire & Branch USA LLC.

As part of the agreement, Pretty Green has set up a showroom at 530 Seventh Avenue in Manhattan, where the brand’s Green Label, Black Label, footwear and accessories collections will be on display. A second showroom, in Los Angeles, is in the pipeline and will serve customers on the West Coast of the US and in Mexico.

“Partnering with Empire & Branch is the ideal way for us to maintain our strong brand identity, whilst minimizing the risks associated with entering the US — one of the largest and most complex retail markets in the world,” said Richard Ralph, chief executive officer of Pretty Green, which launched in 2009 and plays in the contemporary space. An announcement is expected today.

Empire & Branch oversees areas including branding, marketing, PR, wholesale, retail, and e-commerce, as well as warehousing and logistics solutions. It also represents brands such as Tiger of Sweden, Hardy Amies and Pantone Universe Colorwear. “We have secured two locations on the East and West Coast of the US, where we believe there is a fit for a brand like Pretty Green,” said Deepak Gayadin, partner at Empire & Branch.

Noel Gallagher On The Saxophone In Riverman

Taken from a interview with Dutch magazine 'OOR' that is on sale now, thanks to General Dread for the translation.

If you live outside the Netherlands you can buy the magazine from here.

Interviewer: Baker Street or Careless Whisper

Noel: Ah, the saxophone. Baker Street, I guess. Proper tune. I've got it in my collection, but I never put it on not to even speak of Careless Whisper, but I do get it. The saxophone is a powerful instrument and that comes to the surface full on in those tunes. On this record I've got a sax and bass clarinet. That comes from some old 50’s rock ‘n roll which I enjoy, it’s more frequent in that era. And of course Pink Floyd. Dick Parry was the name of their sax player and he did lots of interesting things.

Listen to Dark Side Of The Moon. Pink Floyd to that moment, and still don’t make music in which you would expect such an instrument to show up and still it’s just there. Great really. It’s a risky move, breaking though all the rules and boundaries. When it became clear that it would fit Riverman, I directly thought fuck it, bring in the sax! Not in the line of expectations for a Noel Gallagher album, but it paid off immensely. Riverman just asked for it, it’s a tune that I'm very proud of, it’s a song that really hits home.

I'm really proud of it, putting aside that I can blow myself away with my own tunes. I already thought it is one of my best. Then the lad came in to play the sax and I thought: now it’s the greatest thing ever. And that it happens now, even after all those years. The guitar solo is ace. The vibe is grand. Throw in the sax and it’s beyond belief. Pink Floyd meets fucking Santana in a weird funk atmosphere. Fucking amazing.

Noel Gallagher On Getting Asked For Autographs And His Hatred For Selfies

Taken from a interview with Dutch magazine 'OOR' that is on sale now, thanks to General Dread for the translation.

If you live outside the Netherlands you can buy the magazine from here.

Interviewer: Selfie or Autograph?

Noel: Autograph. I thought that was annoying, but then people showed up with their fucking phones. I never like going on photo’s but now you get approached by everyone guarded or unguarded any time of the day. If I'm shopping with my misses, or when I'm having lunch with the kids. Even in the toilets people come up and ask, Noel? Fuck no… That’s Spinal Tap. I don’t get those selfies I really don’t. You know what I would like to pass on to those people? I believe it’s from Africa that every time you photograph yourself a piece of your soul disappears. It also sounds freighting, you've been caught on camera. You can’t leave you’re stuck. It’s something I believe. So fuck of with your camera, especially when I'm walking in the street.
