Johnny Marr
Noel Gallagher
Radiohead
Johnny Marr has been asked in an interview with musicradar.com is there a guitar he regrets letting go?.
He said "[Laughs] That's a tricky one. Noel Gallagher's got my black Les Paul that I used on the album The Queen Is Dead. But he's a good boy, so I'll let it go. There's another answer to the Noel thing: I was drinking a lot in those days! But I like to help other musicians out.
"I know that I got a lot of helping hands when I was starting out. Some people were very generous to me; without them, I wouldn't have gotten to where I am. What goes around comes around. With Noel, the guitars went to a really good home. He wrote some great stuff with them, so it all worked out.
"I've given quite a few away over the years. I gave one to Chrissie Hynde, and Bernard Butler has my ES-335 12-string that I used on Strangeways, Here We Come and with the Talking Heads. I've given [The The singer- songwriter] Matt Johnson a guitar, too.
"I've been very happy to hang out with the Radiohead guys, and I loaned them guitars for In Rainbows. You recognise kindred spirits. I'm proud of that kind of thing."

Oasis
Noel Gallagher has been speaking about Johnny Squire joining Oasis onstage at Knebworth in 1996.
He told the current issue of the NME "If Oasis ever wanted a guest, it was always down to me to ask... because if Liam's asking it sounds like, "You gonna play with us or what, you c*nt?" So I'd only ask people I like. Anyway when John Squire came on at Knebworth [to play 'Champagne Supernova'] he had flu, so stayed in the tour bus all weekend."
He added" He's an enigma and just kind of floated on, did his thing and came off again. I don't think he'd ever played that loud live. He brought this little amp with him, and when he came onstage he just stood here, turned to me and went 'f*cking hell'".

Kanye West
Noel Gallagher
Noel Gallagher has said Kanye West is a f*cking dumbass in the current issue of the NME.
He said "I read in the papers this morning that he got onstage at the Grammys, saying to Beck 'You should respect artistry and give Beyonce that award.' That c*nt needs to look up the description of the word 'artistry'. If Beck the player of 14 instruments, is not an artist, then f*ck me. Kanye's a f*cking dumbass."
He added "His interview with Zane Lowe a few years ago was f*cking priceless, but he does have this thing where he thinks he runs the music business. Imagine if he'd got up at the Brits in the 90s. I'd Have knocked him out."

Oasis
Noel Gallagher has blamed his brother Liam's beard for Oasis not cracking America.
He told the current issue of the NME "He's had some bizarre looks, but the best thing about Liam is he truly doesn't give a f*ck. We used to walk into rehersals and we'd look at him and be like 'Oh my god, wow, Ok, Ok, alright, that's bizarre', but yeah he's had some cracking hairstyles. Saying that, though, I've had the same hairstyle since 1994. At least the lads pushing it forward. He's got a beard at the moment? I often blame the beard for us not really cracking America".

Noel Gallagher has been speaking about Richard Ashcroft in a interview in the current issue of the NME he said "I haven't seen Richard for ages, but whatever he's doing I hope he's making a record. I don't know anyone who's got his phone number. The one he gave me he never answers. He lives in a big stately home and I imagine he's just stoned thinking "What is that f*cking noise?". That 'United Nations Of Sound' record was a f*cking great record. I should make a record with him.
When asked "Would that upset Liam?" Noel replied "Oh, that would be war. The fact you've now put that in my head means I'm definitely going to follow that through. Hopefully he might give himself a black eye".

Oasis
Noel Gallagher had Belfast spirits soaring with his High Flying Birds at the Odyssey Arena tonight.
He said to the crowd: "What about you, Belfast? What's the craic? I'm going to play a few songs from my new record for those of you who were kind enough to get it already."
The former Oasis frontman played tacks from his second solo album Chasing Yesterday. He began his set with a full choir behind him for tracks from his first solo album: Stranded On The Wrong Beach and Everybody's On The Run.
Noel's signature guitar-driven sound from the height of his popularity in the 90s is still going strong. To the delight of the audience, Noel played Oasis classic Fade Away.
In The Heat Of The Moment allowed the fans to sing along with the NaNaNA part of the chorus. Lock All The Doors followed with the dazzling lights display to go along with each number.
A horn section and house piano accompanied Noel's band on Riverman. Death Of You And Me lifted the roof for the crowd with the main man in good voice.
"This is for the mums and dads," he said before Champagne Supernova.
Fresh from Carl Frampton's successful title defence on Saturday night, people had another reason to flock to the arena but this time it was celebrate Gallagher's music.
Noel, 47, is adored by his fans for work with brother Liam in the past but some might say he's still an electric performer. For a man who once sang about the Importance Of Being Idle, he's certainly kept the Belfast crowd busy dancing to his songs all night.

DMA's
Liam Gallagher
Noel Gallagher
Oasis
Sydney trio DMA’s may have had a breakout year in 2014, one in which they won the hearts of Australian fans and began the push into Europe, but there’s one man they’re yet to win over.
As a songwriter and vocalist of Brit-pop icons Oasis, Noel Gallagher can rightfully be credited with being a key influence of DMA’s - and he’s ready to boo them when he gets a chance to see them.
During a recent interview with The Music’s Bryget Chrisfield, discussing Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ latest/second album Chasing Yesterday, Gallagher admitted he has not heard of Australia’s own DMA’s.
“DMA’s? So there’s a capital ‘D’ for Derek, ‘M’ for Michael and ‘A’ for Australia,” he said.
And then an apostrophe followed by a lowercase ‘s’.
“Then an apostrophe ‘s’, okay. No, I can’t say I’ve had the displeasure of listening to it yet.”
Once advised that it’s widely believed the Sydney trio owe a large debt to his former band Oasis, Gallagher’s interest was well and truly piqued.
“REALLY? Oh, in what way? Do you think they sound like Oasis?”
When told that the songs aren’t necessarily as good as Oasis songs, Gallagher interjected, “I mean surely that would go without saying… Well, when I wake up tomorrow, extremely hungover, I shall maybe get on my computer and see if I can find anything by these fuckin’ DMA’s.”
At the mere mention of bucket hats, Gallagher observed, “Oh, all right, okay, well they’re kinda LIAM fans really then.”
DMA’s are on the Governors Ball line-up this year…
“Where? In New York? I’m doin’ that as well,” Gallagher said, laughing.
“I’ll have to watch them from side of stage and boo them.”
Both acts are scheduled to perform on the festival’s third day, Sunday 7 June, at Randall’s Island Park in New York City. DMA’s have been recording songs that will make up their debut album, expected to be released this year.
