Oasis legend Liam Gallagher has given fans a rare insight into his career, life and mind during a hilarious Q&A session.
Chatting to Radio X’s Johnny Vaughan in front of an intimate audience at the Etihad Stadium, the home of his beloved Manchester City, Liam was on outspoken top form as he explained why he really isn't a proper Manc and gave his thoughts on United boss Jose Mourinho, the scary clown craze, sounding like John Lennon, his favourite cheese (Cheddar), wearing leopard print Ugg slippers and why Oasis isn't getting back together.
Quaffing Taittinger champagne, he also described two of his most rock and roll moments - doing the loop the loop in a private jet over the Golden Gate Bridge and heckling film star Hugh Grant in front of his ex girlfriend Liz Hurley in Los Angeles.
Seated on a plush brown leather sofa, Burnage's finest was joined by Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs for the Q&A in front an audience of just 200 people, in aid of the Make Some Noise campaign for disadvantaged youngsters by Radio X owners Global.
Fans paid £150 to join the Manchester music icon in the aptly named Legends Lounge.
Earlier this month the rocker flew in to Manchester for a premiere in London for a special screening of the documentary film Supersonic.
Here are some of the highlights of the Radio X Q&A:
On Jose Mourinho (who he described as a "little ****")
"He already looks like it's the end of the season."
Brother Noel and why Oasis isn't getting back together.
"For someone who washed his hands of it he's the one banging on about it.
"I'm ready to go but our kid bangs on like I've stabbed his cat or summat. The thing is he wants to be a solo star. The reason why the band isn't back together is because Noel needs to be surrounded by yes men and I ain't one.
"People need to stop asking him when the band is getting back together. He'll get bored so stop asking him."
The scary clown craze.
"I think they're alright man. I don't mind 'em. I like a clown. Some of them put a lot of effort in."
On THAT scene in Supersonic when the band performed badly because of crystal meth.
"I enjoyed myself. That **** happened a lot."
Brotherly love.
"I remember being drunk as a 15-year-old. I came in at 11pm, couldn't find the lights so ****** all over his stereo."
Singing style.
"I sound like John Lennon. I get more power from not holding the microphone."
The longest he has ever stayed up for.
"The 90s"
Favourite footwear.
"I've got Uggs. They're leopard print and they're the best ******* slippers, slippers when you want to get locked out of the door."
On not being a proper Manc
"I wouldn't say I'm a Manc. I've lived in London 20 years. I'm a universal dream."
The best band frontman, apart from himself of course.
"Richard Ashcroft is pretty cool and Ian Brown is fantastic. And Shaun Ryder is mega."
Being banned by Cathay Pacific flights over a row about a scone.
"I woke up and everyone was eating a scone. I didn't have a scone or a pickaxe."

Liam Gallagher has given his opinion on the killer clown craze, deciding that they're "all right".
When asked by Johnny Vaughan what he thinks of the recent spate of clown-based pranks sweeping the UK, the Manchester man said: "I think they're all right. I like a clown”.
He added: "I don’t find them funny, but some of them put a lot of time and effort in. I'd rather have a clown than the back end of a donkey.”
Applying his Rock N' Roll, all-or-nothing approach to the craze, the Some Might Say singer added: “If you’re going to be a fucking clown be a proper fucking clown. Don’t be half a clown.
“I think leave the clowns alone”.

The former Oasis frontman told Johnny Vaughan about positives of sharing the stage at Radio X’s Evening In Conversation event..
Liam Gallagher has revealed why he prefers to be in a band.
Speaking to Johnny Vaughan at Radio X's Evening In Conversation, the Oasis man revealed: “There’s nothing better than being in a fucking band."
He went on: "You can do your solo records, you can be wherever you want, but when you're in a band and you're playing your music to four, three geezers playing back to you, there's no better feeling.
"Just doing it on your own and playing back to yourself, yeah cool, you're going to get a hard on, but there’s nothing better than watching four of your mates all together thinking 'fucking hell this is stonking.'”
He concluded: "I don't give a fuck what anyone says. There's nothing better than being in a fucking band."
The former Oasis singer was speaking with Johnny Vaughan at Radio X’s Evening In Conversation With, which took place on Sunday (16 October) Manchester’s Etihad Stadium.
The event, which sold out in minutes, helped raise thousands of pounds for Global’s Make Some Noise , which helps youngsters and their families across the UK living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity.
Global’s Make Some Noise was created by Global in 2014 to give a voice to charities that struggle to get heard. The national grant-giving charity supports projects that help disadvantaged youngsters by raising money and crucially giving them a platform to tell their story to millions of people.

Liam Gallagher: 'Oasis did in three years what took The Beatles eight'
Liam Gallagher has again compared Oasis to The Beatles, saying that the band achieved the same level of success and impact but in a much quicker time.
The former Beady Eye frontman was interviewed in Little White Lies by Mat Whitecross, director of the new Oasis documentary Supersonic.
When Whitecross mentions how Oasis went from being signed to headlining Knebworth in just three years, Gallagher replied: "What we did in three took the Beatles eight. Good, y’know, fuckin’ rightly so. I thought we were the bollocks and I thought we’d be doing that all over the world.
"I thought America would buy it, everyone would buy it… But that my friend is cocaine for you."
When asked why Oasis didn't crack America with as much success as they did the rest of the world, Gallagher replied: "I don’t know man, they like all the razzmatazz don’t they and we weren’t given them any of that. They thought we were vaginas and they didn’t know how to handle us so it was move along boys y’know what I mean.
"But I’m fuckin’ glad about it. We could’ve gone over there and married an American actress and got a house in Malibu and started wearing biker jackets and pointy shoes and all that shit."

Oasis
The 56-year-old Scottish businessman famously signed the 'Supersonic' rockers to his Creation Records label after seeing them perform one gig at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1993 and after they released their debut album 'Definitely Maybe' in 1994 they went on to become the biggest band in the world.
The group eventually imploded in 2009 due to a huge backstage bust-up between warring brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher which resulted in the 49-year-old guitarist quitting.
The pair have barely spoken since, but Liam, 44, has admitted he has offered an "olive branch" to Noel and would return to the band in a heartbeat, however, the 'Don't Look Back In Anger' songwriter has spurned his offer of reconciliation and didn't attend either of the two premieres for the new Oasis documentary film 'Supersonic'.
Alan is sure Noel - who has released two successful solo albums - is finished with Oasis because he doesn't want to "spoil" the legend of the group.
Asked if Oasis will reunite, he told NME: "Do you mean with Noel Gallagher? Absolutely zero. I don't think Noel will ever reform Oasis, ever! I can't see Noel Gallagher going back and doing it. If anything came out of that film ('Supersonic'), it was that it's done, it's finished, don't spoil the f***ing legend."
Alan thinks there could be a time in the future where Liam performs under the Oasis name again without Noel and it will be great.
He mused: "When he's a bit older I think Liam will probably reform Oasis and he'll sell 10,000 tickets a night singing Oasis tunes and he'll be happy with that. It would be OK with just Liam."
In the wake of Oasis, Liam formed Beady Eye with Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock but they disbanded in 2014 after two albums.
The 'Songbird' singer is currently recording his first solo album which is set to be released next summer and Alan is sure it will be a fantastic record.
Speaking previously to BANG Showbiz, the music industry legend said: "Liam is a genius. He's a good enough songwriter. He wrote a lot in Oasis and he was unlucky with Beady Eye - their song 'Flick of the Finger' was great and he wrote that. I know that dude he will come back and he will come back and come back big. I love Liam!"

Alan McGee has opened up about what he expects from Liam Gallagher's debut solo album - hailing him as a great songwriter and his past work as 'as good as anything that Noel's ever done'.
McGee, who first signed Oasis to Creation Records in 1993, was speaking to NME about Liam's upcoming debut solo album - and how it might be likely to compare to the two already released by brother Noel Gallagher.
"It'll probably be very good," McGee told NME. "This idea that Liam can't write songs is bollocks. He wrote a song called 'Flick Of The Finger' for Beady Eye and it was as good as anything that Noel's ever done. This idea that Liam can't write a song is fucking bullshit."
When how much he thinks Liam is likely to 'experiment', McGee replied: "I think it will be Liam. The press will probably fucking hate it but they hate everything anyway. I don't think people care any more. Music's judged by social media now, not by The Guardian."
