Noel Gallagher And Paul Weller Already Have The Theme Song Written For The Next Bond Movie

The film has not started next James Bond yet, but Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller already have the theme song.

I told you how the former Oasis guitarist would record a 007 track “in a heartbeat”.

Now The Modfather spilled: “I’ve got this half a song that me and Noel Gallagher worked on and I think it would be great for a Bond theme. There’s a bit of minor key going on.”

Noel was not impressed by Sam Smith’s recent Bond song, saying: “I could do it and it would be great.”

If Daniel Craig returns to the role as expected, he will have a say in who does the music.

The actor gave the green light to Adele and Sam’s efforts.

Noel once said he wouldn’t mind Craig playing him in a film too.

But Craig joked that he couldn’t because he is too good at guitar playing.

He said: “I can play guitar better than Noel so I don’t know how playing him is really going to work.”

Meanwhile Weller is also keen on trying his hand at the dreaded Eurovision.

Referring to a song off his new album A Kind Revolution out tomorrow, he told BBC: “I want to see the UK win the Eurovision Song Contest.

“And I think they need The Impossible Idea as their tune.

“If it was my song then I would definitely, yeah.”

Well, That’s Entertainment I suppose.

Red Stripe Presents: This Feeling TV

Red Stripe presents: This Feeling TV: giving future festival headliners their first chance to shine along with some of the biggest names in the game

Music TV shows once offered bands their big break; any group seeking a platform and exposure fought for that memorable moment to spark chart success.

The likes of The Tube set the foundations for The Word and TFI Friday. They have all since gone along with Top of the Pops, The Chart Show and T4 all disappearing from our screens in recent years.
Jools Holland is the last man standing on terrestrial telly and few new indie bands can elbow their way into his line-up, let alone stay awake during the show.

Things have gone stale in music telly. Until now...

This Feeling and Red Stripe are taking things into their own hands to reverse the trend in 2017. A new partnership is born; ‘Red Stripe presents: This Feeling TV’.

It’s a new music show, hosted by Radio X DJ Gordon Smart, for the digital age providing a platform for new bands in the industry to showcase their talent with more established acts creating some much needed magic on the small screen.

Show 1...it's coming! Sneak peek...

The first show features Carl Barat, Martin Compston, Slaves (who flew back early from USA to do the show), DMA's, Tom Grennan, Black Honey AND a cameo from Liam Gallagher who requested DMA's go on early so he could watch the Manchester derby. Show 1 airs Monday 8th at midday.

“When Rock N Roll makes its glorious comeback, you can bet you will have seen it first on This Feeling TV.” Noel Gallagher

“This Feeling are once again putting their magic where their mouths are and giving kids with guitars the chance to shine on the screen with This Feeling TV.” Blossoms.

Liam Fray On Being A Pale Imitation Of Liam Gallagher

The Courteeners frontman has spoken out about the early comparisons that were made between Oasis and his band

The Courteeners frontman Liam Fray has admitted that he was “a pale imitation” of Liam Gallagher during the band’s early days.

As the Manchester band emerged in 2008 with their debut album ‘St Jude’, a number of commentators were quick to draw comparisons between the then-quartet and Oasis. However, those comparisons prompted a backlash from fans of the Britpop band following the release of that album.

Speaking about that time period in a new interview with The Independent, Fray opened up about how he “hated [The Courteeners’] ‘new Oasis'” tag and understood the backlash to those particular comparisons.

“I was never the new Liam Gallagher,” Fray admitted. “I was a pale imitation, but then it was never my intention to be an imitation at all.” Admitting that he may have been partly responsible for the comparisons, Fray said: “Oh, I tended to shout my mouth off, but who wouldn’t after seven pints on a Thursday night?

The Courteeeners will play a huge homecoming show at Manchester’s Old Trafford cricket ground later this month. Speaking to NME ahead of the gig, Fray declared that fans shouldn’t expect “bells, whistles and spaceships” come the big day.

“That’s not our game,” he said. “We couldn’t walk around Manchester Arndale if we had spaceships coming out the roof. We’d get hammered for it. They wouldn’t serve us in the chippy if we started doing things like that.”
