Noel Gallagher Trolls Bayern Munich Fans At Gig

Manchester City fan Noel Gallagher did not waste his opportunity to troll Bayern Munich fans when his High Flying Birds played a gig in the city.

The former Oasis man and his band were playing at the Zenith arena in Munich, when he decided to rub salt into the wounds of Munich fans — who will be losing their beloved coach Pep Guardiola at the end of the season.

Guardiola will take over the reins at Manchester City, with the possibility of Bayern Munich being drawn against Gallagher’s side City in the Champions League semi-finals.

The 48-year-old said: “You know Manchester? This is where your f***ing manager is going!”

The irony will not have been lost on German football fans, who saw Borussia Dortmund lose 4-3 to Liverpool at Anfield after a stunning comeback from Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.

And after England came back to win 3-2 against Germany in Berlin last month — Gallagher chose to put club banter first.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are currently on a European tour and will play in Cologne before heading back to the UK in a week’s time.

Noel Gallagher Says It’s Time For Manuel Pellegrini To Move On

Manchester City fan Noel Gallagher says it’s time for Manuel Pellegrini to move on after the end of his three-year honeymoon period.

The Oasis mastermind was at Wembley at the end of February to watch the Chilean’s side lift the Capital One Cup and he even predicted a Yaya Toure penalty would win it.

But he admits it’s time for the more senior coach to move on and make way for young gun Pep to come in and shake things up.

Speaking on tour in South America, the High Flying Birds star said: “We have to see what happens (with Guardiola). Manuel has done a brilliant job. They both have similar styles as coaches.

“Pellegrini signs good players but he is a bit older than Pep. If Pep won three trophies in three years, then yes, I would prefer him before Pellegrini.

“Pellegrini is a good man, I have met him in person. He is a good manager too, but his moment has passed.

“In modern football, coaches stay at the same club for three seasons, and this is his third season in the club. So it’s time for him to go.”

The legendary singer-songwriter and die-hard Blues fan is clearly overjoyed that Pep has been announced as the new Manchester City manager.

He’s proving to be a very popular choice as the next Manchester City boss.

And you perhaps won’t find a fan more adoring than Manchester music legend Noel Gallagher , who has gone as far as to say he wants to lick Pep Guardiola’s face.

The Oasis singer-songwriter and guitarist - and his wife Sara MacDonald- are clearly overjoyed that Pep has agreed a three-year contract to become City manager in the summer.

The die-hard Blues fan posted a photo of the coach on his Instagram page with the message: “I see you baby!!!

“Be warned Mr.Pep both me and Sara are Very much looking forward to licking your face next season..”

In December Noel also made his feelings clear about the new City badge – saying he loves it so much he would have it tattooed on his back.

In a video tweeted by the club the Manchester he said: “This new badge represents what Manchester City is.

“I for one, I’m going to leave these offices, and go straight to a tattoo parlour and I’m going to get a massive one tattooed on my back. That’s how good it is.”

Then he showed his love for the new badge again by posing with a giant version of the crest , made from sand, on a sunshine family break.

The Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds frontman seems to be in a typically ouspoken mood at the moment because he’s been putting rap superstar Kanye West in his place after Yeezy boasted to his 18 million Twitter followers about his new album Waves.

Kanye tweeted: "So happy to be finished with the best album of all time" and he went on “This is not album of the year. This is album of the life.”

And Noel hit back on his Instagram page: “So Kanye thinks he’s made the best album of all time?

“You might sell more Mr.Kanye but NGHFB will be better..FACT!”

Noel Gallagher On Manchester City's Appointment Of Pep Guardiola

Rock legend and Manchester City fan Noel Gallagher has issued a warning to his fellow supporters – having Pep Guardiola as manager will not guarantee success.

The Spaniard’s widely expected switch to the Etihad Stadium was confirmed on Monday, with the former Barcelona coach to succeed Manuel Pellegrini in the summer.

It’s a huge coup for City, who reportedly fought off interest from a host of other top clubs from around the world to land the outgoing Bayern Munich boss, including rivals Chelsea and Manchester United.

The 45-year-old has won top honours at every club he has coached – three La Liga, two Champions League and two Copa del Rey titles at Barcelona, plus two Bundesliga titles and one DFB Cup at Bayern Munich – and he could well be the difference as City look to end their wait for European glory.

But High Flying Birds frontman Gallagher has attempted to calm the early celebrations – "he hasn’t even landed in Manchester yet" – by asking: "Can he do it on a cold rainy night in Stoke?"

Speaking on the Sports Bar, the former Oasis icon told talkSPORT: “It’s an amazing statement of intent, but some of my City friends are celebrating like we’ve won something!

“He doesn’t really guarantee anything. What having Guardiola does is he opens the door to the top, top players

“I’d have thought if the likes of Paul Pogba, if he hasn’t made his mind up about where he’s going at the end of the season, Guardiola could potentially swing it for him to come to City.

“We hear rumours of Neymar and he could swing it with him too. These players want to play for the best managers.

"I think Guardiola has work to do – we should have won five Premier League titles in a row with this squad – but he’s widely regarded as the best, so we’re about to find out aren’t we?

“Managers at top teams are judged on Champions Leagues now, and I think HE would consider his time at City a failure if he doesn’t win the Champions League with all the resources he will have at his disposal.

“We’re about to see if he’s one of the greats aren’t we, because he’s not coming to a two-horse race here.

“We’re about to see if the old adage is true – can he do it on a cold rainy night in Stoke?

“Not only is it a great thing for City, it’s a great thing for all English football fans. Although we can’t seem to attract the top players in the world anymore, the top managers are coming here - him and Klopp and if Jose goes to United, which I’m sure he will now.”

The Oasis superstar and lifelong Blue also came up with a three-point plan to resurrect City’s title fortunes – including sacking Manuel Pellegrini and buying Gareth Bale.

Gallagher was speaking as a guest on NBC Sports’ 'Men in Blazers' show when he revealed the startling depth of his affection for City’s little Spanish wizard.

Asked to name his favourite player, Gallagher plunged straight in, naming Silva, Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure, and then added, of Silva: “I’d let him have sex with my wife.”

One of the interviewers then remarked that Silva is one of those players who, no matter how much you hate their team, you cannot help but admire – and suggested that Gallagher might look at United ace Juan Mata in the same way.

Naughty Noel was having none of that: “No, I look at Juan Mata and think ‘F****** t***’” he replied.

He was then asked how City could be “fixed” after a trophy-less season and came up with his three-point plan.

“Number one, they need to buy four new players,” said the former Oasis star. “Number two they need to sell four old players. And number three they need to maybe look at a new manager.”

When pressed on which players and manager he wants to come in, Gallgher picked out Real Madrid star Bale and Bayern boss pep Guardiola – with Carlo Ancelotti as a possible back-up plan.

Noel Gallagher told Soccer AM that Manchester City should stick with Manuel Pellegrini, even if Chelsea snatch their Premier League crown.

City sit five points behind league leaders Chelsea, having played a game more as the trophy edges closer to Stamford Bridge.

With another early Champions League exit on the cards, coupled with their title defence running out of steam, Pellegrini has come under a great deal scrutiny, and many believe his days in Manchester are numbered.

However, Gallagher, who is currently touring with his band Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, told Tubes on Soccer AM that he would love Pep Guardiola to take over, but would be more than happy for Pellegrini to remain in charge.

"If they (City board) were to let him go, who would they get in?" Gallagher said.

"Pep Guardiola is not available. If he does become available then get him in.

"If not, then stick with Pellegrini. I like him.

"How he didn’t win Manager of the Year after winning the double is a disgrace.

"He keeps it all on the even keel. You don’t need all the histrionics."

Gallagher also admitted to being disappointed with the money spent by the City hierarchy in the summer, but hailed Chelsea's business.

"Chelsea bought better than we did," Gallagher added.

"Costa is better than Jovetic, Fabregas is better than Fernandinho. Then there is the Mourinho factor."
