Noel Gallagher won't be rushing out to buy his nippers Donovan and Sonny strips for his beloved Man City.
He said: "I know lots of dads get them all the football kits but I quite fancy being the only City fan in my house.
"They're not supporting Tottenham, that's the end of that but, y'know, they might not even be into football.
"And I quite fancy being the old Blue and jumping over the couch at them when we go 3-1 up."
Away from footy, Noel is grafting hard on his solo material but he's also thinking about boxing and the title fight between David Haye and Audley Harrison next week.
Speaking on Gillette Soccer Saturday to top bloke John Fendley, Noel added: "It's going to be a lot closer than people think. I'd have to go with Haye though.

Upside Down
Whether it's for Noel Gallagher's love of U2, Alan McGee confusing commuters as he parties away at 7am or his bromance with Bobby Gillespie, Upside Down is the ultimate documentary for music lovers.
If you have any of the following on your iPod… Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Primal Scream, Teenage Fan Club and Super Furry Animals or Oasis then chances are you’d be very interested in the new documentary Upside Down: The Creation Records Story. The film, which premiered at the British Film Festival, charts the story behind the iconic record label and its eccentric founder and spiritual leader Alan McGee.
If I wasn’t so disorganised I would’ve charged my iPhone which was to double up as my notepad, and would’ve attempted (but no doubt failed) to come up with a film review as clever and as funny as the excellent efforts from fellow Saboteur Matt Harvey. Instead this ‘film review’ will get straight to the point and give you 10 reasons why you should go and see it…
1. This is essentially a music documentary and it helps that the music is brilliant (with the possible exception of Sugar), it also helps that the sound man has stuck the volume on max. You’ll inevitably find yourself tapping your foot as hit after hit belts out in crystal clear sound.
2. Alan McGee, apart from having a penchant for hats that are a bit small for him, is a genius. His interviews are the backbone of the whole story and are as honest and informative as they are funny. The Scot has a great story to tell and tells it very well – he had an idea, had a good time, make that a great time whilst doing it and gave some of the best bands of a generation a platform to produce amazing music.
3. The last time I saw Bobby Gillespie on a screen was the Glastonbury coverage a couple of years back when it’s safe to say he went off on one. The Bobby Gillespie on show here is an entirely different one, insightful and most of all caring, the bond between him and McGee a key component of the Creation story from the very start to the very end.
4. Noel Gallagher is well…Noel Gallagher. You know what you’re going to get forthright and revealing opinion laced with humour and there’s plenty of it. Also fans (myself included) of U2’s Rattle and Hum no longer have to hide their affection for the album, turns out Noel was a fan. However as McGee notes if he’d know that prior to signing them he wouldn’t have gone through with it.
5. Gruff Rhys from the Super Furry Animals and Howard ‘Mr Nice’ Marks team up to give their take on things. The kindred spirits almost look like father and son sat next to each other and when citing the link between the demise of Creation Records and Nostradamus Rhys provides the funniest moment of the film.
6. Big names aside its some of the testimonies of the lesser know faces that prove as revealing, co-founder Dick Green is portrayed as the glue that held the company together and is as integral to the story as McGee himself. This is no more evident when Green has to take control when McGee ‘crashes’ into a nervous breakdown.
7. It’s all a matter of taste obviously but for every Ride there was a Swervedriver, for every Teenage Fan Club there was a Boo Radleys . That said they’ll obviously have their fans, the documentary isn’t just about the Gallaghers and the Gillespies, there are so many bands featured to give the complete picture. And if like me your knowledge of the earlier Creation Records bands is not as good as those in the latter period then be prepared to add the The Loft and The Weather Prophets to your music collection.
8. The archive footage of the chaotic office in Hackney gives an idea, albeit small, of the mayhem that ensured over the years. McGee’s story of dancing away coming up at a impromptu party at 7 in the morning bemusing passing commuters, then settling down to look at sales figures at 9 is a great illustration of an average morning at Creation.
9. Knebworth was the peak of the Creation story but also the beginning of the end. As a 16 year old that attended the second night it was great to see footage of the John Squire assisted version of Champagne Supernova if only because at the time I saw and heard very little, despite being only halfway back – it was just too big. It was record breaking and those that attended can always say ‘I was there’ but Knebworth was overblown and over the top and the likes of McGee agree. Before you can say Be Here Now (which incidentally is not mentioned once in the film) it’s all downhill.
10. All good things must come to an end. The film reaches its conclusion with the major label Sony’s attempt to curb the excesses by gradually putting their guys in the position of power. Harking back to the true independent spirit that prompted the guys to start Creation in the first place McGee and Green agree enough is enough and shut the label down.
In short, the documentary is really very good and with the film’s Director Danny O’Connor plans to tour the film as you would a band with post screening club nights there really is no reason why you shouldn’t get involved.

The Masterplan is a compilation album by English rock band Oasis, comprising B-sides which never made it onto an album. The album was originally intended for release only in areas such as the United States and Japan, where the tracks were only available on expensive European import singles. It was first released in late 1998. The Masterplan reached #2 in the UK where it went platinum, and #51 in the United States. However, it did gain top spot in various charts around the world, going on to sell 2 million copies. Four songs from the album appear on compilation album Stop the Clocks.

The versions of "Listen Up" and "I Am the Walrus" are edits of their original releases on the "Cigarettes & Alcohol" single. "Listen Up" has 8 bars removed during the guitar solo (4:3–4:39). "I Am the Walrus", with a fade-out, finishes at 6:25, whereas the original runs fully to a natural conclusion at 8:14.
"I Am the Walrus" was given its correct recording location and date on the sleevenotes. On its original release on the "Cigarettes & Alcohol" single, the location listed was the Glasgow Cathouse, in June 1994. However, in promotional interviews for The Masterplan, Noel revealed that it was actually recorded at the soundcheck for a gig at a Sony Music seminar at Gleneagles, Scotland, in February 1994. He said the credit was changed because he thought "recorded at a Sony seminar" would "look shit".
Chris Griffiths (of The Real People) was given a co-writing credit for "Rockin' Chair". On its original release on the "Roll with It" single in 1995, Noel Gallagher was credited as the sole songwriter.
"Acquiesce" was released as a radio single in the United States, and a promotional video was created for this purpose. It consisted of a live performance of the song from Manchester's G-MEX, recorded on 14 December 1997, with various behind-the-scenes footage of the band on tour. For the video, both Liam's and Noel's vocal tracks were overdubbed over the originals recorded live in Manchester.

Last week SCYHO and L4E received several emails from regular site contributors that stated Beady Eye were shooting a video in London on Wednesday (October 27th) for the yet as untitled debut single.
The video is reportably being directed by Richard Ayoade who has previously worked with Kasabian and The Arctic Monkeys.

The Chemical Brothers want to collaborate with Noel Gallagher on his solo album.
The dance duo have worked with the rock star on two tracks - 'Setting Sun' and 'Let Forever Be' - and have also remixed songs for Oasis and insist they are ready to help him now he has left the band.
Tom Rowlands said: "It's up to Noel, we won't force ourselves upon him. But, obviously, we'd be up for it if we got the call, he's a great musician. It would be churlish not to see what the man had to say and what his ideas were."
The 'Hey Boy Hey Girl' hitmakers have also moved away from their electro roots to work on a film score for Joe Wright's new movie.
Tom admits it was great to be asked to contribute to the film - which is believed to be 'Indian Summer', which is based on the book 'Indian Summer: The Secret History of the End of an Empire' by Alex von Tunzelmann - because it's a new challenge for him and bandmate Ed Simons.
Tom added to BANG Showbiz: "We're working on some music for Joe Wright's new film as well. He's got a movie coming out next year and we're working on the score for that. The music is going to be contemporary and it's heavy, it's brilliant. It's something different and exciting that we've been offered. It's fun to be able to do something that's completely different. When we work together to make music to play live or DJ with there's a different mindset to when a director says I've got this scene and I'm trying to communicate these feelings. It's interesting it makes music varied and fun."
The Chemical Brothers have also written and produced some music for Darren Aronofsky's new film 'Black Swan', which stars Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis as ballet dancers in a New York production of 'Swan Lake'.

"Wonderwall" continues to have enduring popularity in Oasis's canon; as of 2008, it was 76th in the UK's list of best-selling singles, and has now sold over a million copies in single and download sales in the UK, where it went platinum.

Background
The song takes its name from the 1968 album Wonderwall Music by George Harrison, at the time still a member of the Beatles.[3] Harrison's album was in fact a soundtrack to the film Wonderwall, but the film has remained unknown by the general public. The original title of the track was "Wishing Stone".
It is often claimed that "Wonderwall" was written for Gallagher's then-girlfriend, Meg Mathews. Noel married Mathews in 1997, but the couple divorced four years later. Gallagher now claims that the song was not about Mathews at all, but he felt he had to go along with the rumour, saying "The meaning of that song was taken away from me by the media who jumped on it. How do you tell your Mrs it's not about her once she's read it is? It's a song about an imaginary friend who's gonna come and save you from yourself."
Recording
The song was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales, during a two-week recording of the 'Morning Glory' album in May 1995. According to producer Owen Morris, the song was completed in 6-8 hours.
Morris claimed that Gallagher had presented an alternative arrangement of the song "which had some extra complicated pre-bridge bits that didn't have singing or melody - but just had some chord changes - which seemed completely unnecessary", the night before it was recorded. This idea was quickly shelved.
Noel initially wanted to sing this song on (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, but he gave his brother Liam Gallagher the choice, and Noel ended up singing "Don't Look Back in Anger".
Live performances
Noel debuted the song on UK TV, backstage at Glastonbury and broadcast on Channel 4 on June 24, 1995. The song wasn't performed by the band during their headline performance the night before.
In August 2002, Noel changed the arrangement of his live performances of the song to a style admittedly heavily-influenced by Ryan Adams' cover version of the song. This arrangement has continued to his most recent live performances of the song. When the full band performs the song live, with electric guitars, it's still in the original style as presented on the record. During the 2008 tour, however the band have return to performing the song in a semi acoustic form.
A live version of the song, recorded at Wembley Stadium in 2000, is featured on the band's live album Familiar To Millions.
In an interview with Q magazine in August 2008, Liam said that he hates performing the song: "I can't stand that fucking song, every time I have to sing it, I want to gag. Problem is 'Wonderwall' was a big big tune for us and so you go to America and they're like, 'Are you Mr Wonderwall?', and you want to chin someone."

Growing up in Bedford, England, amongst like-minded music enthusiasts Andy Willsher was strongly influenced by David Bowie as well as pretty much all of the Goth bands of the late 80’s at the time. Luckily for Andy there was a small music venue in town where most of the bands played. 'The perfect scenario' I thought; "I’ll go along and take some pictures. So the likes of 'Ghostdance', 'Zodiac Mindwarp', 'Fields of 'The Nephilim' (and many more people dressed in black throwing flour everywhere) started my portfolio". Andy decided to ignore college and get a real job so he could afford the next Canon model he had been craving. Whilst working at Barclays Bank in the West End, Andy took a holiday to follow a band called 'The Hollow Men' around the far reaches of Scotland and Ireland. "I decided from that point that this was the life for me. One step further down the line I was working in my local camera shop to try and gain some knowledge. I think it was around this time I started printing up my own pictures and sending them to the music press in the vain hope they’d want to use one".
Finally that time did arrive and after a few shots had been published, Andy then got a phone call from NME Towers; 'Do you fancy shooting 'The Family Cat' at a school in Crewe?'. Andy continues to photograph for NME, his credits includes Jeff Buckley, Arthur Lee, U2, White Stripes and many more iconic bands/artists.
Andy's work has captured the music culture of our times and this exhibition celebrates his 20 years in music and in photography standing next to the other photographers who inspired him, such as Anton Corbijn, Ellen Von Unwerth, Pennie Smith and Mick Rock.
In Andy’s own words "It just felt like the right time to have an exhibition".

The UK television premiere was on Channel 4 on November 19, at 11:50pm, although it was a heavily edited version with approximately 40 minutes cut from the original 95 minute version. The film was unveiled to coincide with Oasis' compilation album Stop the Clocks, released on November 20, 2006. A preview of the film was included on the Let There Be Love DVD single, released in November 2005.
The film features a new Oasis song also called "Lord Don't Slow Me Down", written by Noel Gallagher and recorded during the Don't Believe the Truth sessions, Gallagher described it as being "one of the best things, like The Who, The Yardbirds and the Jeff Beck Group combined, and it's got two drum solos on it!". He has also said that his girlfriend thought it was the only Oasis song you could dance to.
