Damon Albarn Is A Fan Of Oasis' Definitely Maybe

Damon Albarn was asked is there was a track by his former Britpop rivals Oasis that he wished he'd written

Despite cajoling the Blur frontman wouldn't tell Gordon Smart which song is his favourite - but did reveal he's a fan of album Definitely Maybe.

"Definitely something off the first record," he answered after a bit of prodding. "I thought the first record was excellent. It sounded great, it was a really great record."

The video is at least a year old. It was filmed when the boys were making the 'What Makes You Beautiful' video.

Noel Gallagher Dedicates 'Wonderwall' To 'Stratford's Finest Oasis Tribute Band'

Singer mocks brother Liam's performance at the Olympic closing ceremony

Noel Gallagher dedicated 'Wonderwall' to "Stratford's finest Oasis tribute band" at a War Child benefit gig in London tonight (August 14).

Noel made the jibe in reference to his brother Liam's appearance at the Olympic Games closing ceremony on Sunday night, which saw the younger Gallagher performing 'Wonderwall' with his band Beady Eye.

The High Flying Birds frontman played an intimate acoustic set at Dingwalls in Camden in aid of the War Child charity, airing a number of Oasis tracks including 'Wonderwall', 'Supersonic' and 'Don't Look Back In Anger'.

Noel also performed the song 'Angel Child', the b-side to 1997's 'D'You Know What I Mean' for the first time live, telling the crowd: "I've not heard this since I recorded it."

He also dedicated 'Supersonic' to British Olympic champion, the "great Mo Farah".

Liam Gallagher And The Spice Girls Party Till Dawn After Olympic Closing Ceremony

Fifteen years the Spice Girls and Liam Gallagher were trading insults in the press and at awards shows.

But it appears time and growing older has soothed old wounds as the former Nineties foes ended up partying together at the Olympics Closing Ceremony after-party last night.

Despite their past, four out of five of the Spice Girls ended up chatting and posing for photos with the former Oasis frontman following their performances at the Olympic Stadium.






































Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell managed to keep partying until sunrise as they posed for a photo in a garden with Liam.

After Mel B tweeted a photo taken earlier of the Spice Girls (sans Victoria) with Liam at the party, Mel C admitted her surprise at how things had changed.

She tweeted: 'Love @liamgallagher "come and 'ave a go!"'

Liam famously started a war of words with the Spice Girls in 1997 when he declared he wouldn't go the Brit Awards because 'if I bump into the Spice Girls I will smack them'.

As the five-piece accepted their Brit Award that year, Mel C challenged Liam to criticise them face-to-face, shouting: 'Come and 'ave a go if you think you're hard enough.'

While 'Baby Spice' and 'Ginger Spice' had changed out of their on-stage ensembles for the party, 'Scary Spice' was still wearing her Zuhair Murad catsuit.
