Liam Gallagher On Why He Doesn't Follow Anyone On Twitter

Liam Gallagher has told Absolute Radio's Dave Berry that he doesn't see "the point" in following people on Twitter.

He said: "What's the point? I'm not into following anyone, it gets complicated then doesn't it? 'You're following him, why aren't you following me? Can you follow me?' What do you think I am, a private detective? I'm just doing my thing, you're either following me or you don't."

He added: "My kids are always going 'Can you follow me?' What for, I'm your Dad I can see you here now!"

Liam Gallagher On Donald Trump, Kim Jong Un, Brexit and More

Liam Gallagher has given his opinions on politicians, Brxit, Donald Trump and more in an interview with NME that is out tomorrow.

On Politicians

“I’ve got kids in the world and I’m in the world, I watch what’s going down, I take it with a pinch of salt though, because you don’t know who to trust. I just can’t come to a conclusion without thinking they’re all cunts and I wouldn’t fuckin’ trust any of them as far as I could throw them. I find them all lying bastards.”

On Brexit 

“No thoughts on it, man. I love Europe. I guess the borders have got to be tightened but all that stuff about going ‘this is my country’, I don’t get that. We all live under one sky. I certainly don’t sit there and go ‘this is my fuckin’ England, stay out’, but I think we should definitely keep an eye on who’s coming in and out of the country.

“That just makes common sense because you don’t want a load of loony cunts coming in. But good people should be allowed to move and groove wherever they want.”

Donald Trump & Kim Jong Un

“He’s a dick. They’re all dicks,” said Gallagher. “Kim Jong fuckin’ whatever he’s called, they’re all off their fuckin’ tits. I’m here to take people away from all that. You certainly aint gonna get me stomping around like Bono.”

Liam Gallagher Wants Oasis, The Verve And The Stone Roses To Play A Gig Together

Liam Gallagher has revealed that he’s been trying “for years” to book a gig featuring Oasis, The Stone Roses and The Verve, also hinting at “something big” coming next summer.

The former Oasis frontman releases his debut solo album ‘As You Were’ this Friday (October 6), but took to Twitter earlier today (October 4) to tell a fan how he wants the three bands to unite for one big gig. “What a night,” he said, “Some people need to get [off their] high chairs”.

“So many extraordinary people on this planet,” Liam added. “We need to come together, c’mon music is power”.

Gallagher also teased his plans for an event next summer, saying: “Stay tuned but I’m gonna round up the troops for something… all are welcome”.

“Now we have your attention, stay tuned, we are family, Gallagher vibes in the area,” he went on to tweet.

After denying any feud with The Stone Roses earlier this year, Gallagher recently said that he would love to form a supergroup with them and Richard Ashcroft.

“Anyone that would be in a supergroup or that would have anything to do with a supergroup are all solo,” said Gallagher. “There’s far too many solo stars out there for my liking and not enough bands. I’m doing this cause I have to. I’d much prefer to be in a band.”

Liam added: “The ideal ones would be the guys out of The Stone Roses. I think they just split up, so that would be good. [Richard] Ashcroft would be good. There’s a lot of people out there, but the majority of them are all doing their own thing. But, if they want to do one, give us a shout. I’ll do it.”

How Yoko Ono Inspired Liam Gallagher's 'I've All I Need'

Liam Gallagher has told Radio X's Chris Moyles how a meeting with the icon influenced the lyrics on his I've All I Need track.

Liam Gallagher has revealed how a meeting with Yoko Ono 18 years ago inspired the lyrics on his new album.

In an interview with Radio X's Chris Moyles, the former Oasis frontman unveiled a world exclusive first play of I've All I Need, which is the last track on his debut record.

Talking about the track, he told Moyles: "I can tell you an interesting fact. There's a line in there that says 'I hibernate and sing/While gathering my wings'.

"I was over in New York once, and I got a call saying, 'Yoko wants to meet you,' and I'd just called my kid Lennon," recalled the Oasis man.

"We go in there. In the kitchen she invites me in, makes me a cup of tea and she's got this massive banner around the kitchen and I said, 'What does that mean?'

"She goes, 'Ah John asked the same question when we went to Japan to meet the parents.' Anyway it says, While i've been hibernating I've been gathering my wings. And it was when he'd stopped making music. So I thought, 'Write that down.'"

The rocker added: "Anyway, so years go by and I've been trying to get that into a song and could never get it in. And then it happened on that."

Liam Gallagher Thinks About Oasis Everyday

Liam Gallagher has told Radio X's Chris Moyles why he's proud some of his new music has an "Oasis-y" sound.

Liam Gallagher has re-affirmed his love for Oasis and revealed there's not a day that goes by he doesn't think about the band.

Speaking to Radio X's Chris Moyles about his debut solo album and his For What It's Worth single, the Manchester rocker said: "I reckon that's the most Oasis-y kind of song on the album, you know what I mean?

"You know, I’m proud to be in Oasis, I love Oasis, still do - not a day that goes by without thinking of it, you know what I mean? So it’s good to be making music of that calibre."

When Moyles commented that the band's Oasis songs will "never die," he agreed: "Never die, never die and we’re not getting back together and I haven’t seen our kid, before you ask..."

The Wall of Glass singer explained: "If none of us were making music then it would be a valid point, you know, going ‘come on, get the band back together’ and all that. But there’s two albums coming out here now that people like, you know what I mean.

"People like Noel, people like me, people hate Noel, people hate me, you know what I mean? So there’s a lot of good music coming from the Gallaghers at the moment."
