Jake Bugg: 'I Don't Want To See Oasis Reform'

British singer Jake Bugg has taken a swipe at his former mentor Noel Gallagher by insisting he has no interest in seeing Oasis reform.

The young singer/songwriter's profile received a major boost in 2012 when he was taken out on the road as a support act by Gallagher, who also championed 20-year-old Bugg as the U.K.'s next big star.

However, the Lightning Bolt hitmaker has now confessed that although he was a fan of Gallagher's band first time around, he has no desire to see them in concert if the guitarist ever reforms the group with his frontman brother Liam.

He tells Nme magazine, "I was an Oasis fan (but) I'm not too bothered about seeing them, you know? I'd have liked to see them in 1995, but not now."

Oasis, The Killers, The Beatles And More Voted To Have Weirdest Song Lyrics

The Killers fought off competition from the likes of Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift in a competition to find the song with the weirdest lyric.

A survey suggests the line, "are we human or are we dancer?" in the song Human is the most confusing.

Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe placed fifth with the lyric: "Before you came into my life, I missed you so bad".

The top 10 also included Michael Jackson's Earth Song and Champagne Supernova by Oasis.

The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers previously revealed the lyric in Human was based on a quote from the author Hunter S. Thompson, "we're raising a generation of dancers".

"I took it and ran," Brandon said. "I guess it bothers people that it's not grammatically correct, but I think I'm allowed to do whatever I want."

The research was carried out by online streaming service Blinkbox Music, which questioned 2,000 adults.

Managing director Mark Bennett said: "It's true that song lyrics are sometimes as crazy as a box of frogs, but then that's show business. It would be a really boring world if everything was logical and made sense."

Almost two-fifths of those surveyed said they do not usually understand the words they hear in pop songs.

The Top 10

01: The Killers, Human "Are we human, or are we dancer?"

02: The Beatles, I Am The Walrus "I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus, goo goo g' joob."

03: Michael Jackson, Earth Song "What about elephants? Have we lost their trust?"

04: Lionel Richie, All Night Long "Tom bo li de se de moi ya, yeah jambo jambo."

05: Carly Rae Jepsen, Call Me Maybe "Before you came into my life, I missed you so bad."

06: Black Eyed Peas, Boom Boom Pow "Beats so big I'm stepping on leprechauns."

07: Duran Duran, The Reflex "The reflex is an only child, he's waiting in the park."

08: Wham! Club Tropicana "Club Tropicana, drinks are free, fun and sunshine, there's enough for everyone, all that's missing is the sea."

09: Taylor Swift, Love Story -"Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter, and my daddy said stay away from Juliet."

10: Oasis, Champagne Supernova "Slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannonball."

The Sheezus singer will join Cyrus on her 'Bangerz' tour for a select number of dates in the US next month.

In an interview with Billboard, Allen raved about the 'Wrecking Ball' singer's show in London.

"I saw it at The O2 in London [in May], and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's one of the best shows that I've seen in years," she said.

Liam Gallagher Tries A Parmo As He Attends Wedding On Teesside

The parmo has a new fan.

Liam Gallagher sampled Teesside's much-loved dish at The Bay Horse in Hutton Rudby over the weekend.

The former Oasis frontman had been visiting the pretty Yarm village after travelling to the region to attend a wedding.

The picture emerged on social media over the course of today.

He was also the very first guest at nearby Rudby Hall - a former royal residence now operating as an exclusive private venue.

Whilst staying at Rudby Hall he wrote in the guest book: “Can’t remember a thing, so must have had a good time. Top gaff, nice people.”

His girlfriend Debbie Gwyther added: “Stayed here for few nights for a friend’s wedding. Great hospitality, brilliant nights’ sleep and an ace breakfast to top it off....perfect!”

The grand grade II* listed hall started offering luxury bed and breakfast accommodation this weekend following a conservation and refurbishment project to restore it to its former glory.

Wendy Desiles of Rudby Hall said: “We are delighted to unveil Rudby Hall in all its glory to the public for the first time since it was built in 1838 as a royal residence for the daughter of King William IV Lady Amelia Cary and her husband the 10th Viscount Falkland.

“To have the pleasure to welcome Liam Gallagher to the hall as our first bed and breakfast guest was a real honour."

A spokeswoman from The Bay Horse declined to comment this afternoon.

Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich Says Noel Gallagher Inspired Him To Get Off Cocaine

Metallica‘s legendary days of hard partying are long over, but some habits die harder than others, and for drummer Lars Ulrich, cocaine use continued to linger well into the 21st century. In fact, as he recently shared during an interview with the UK’s Daily Mirror, he didn’t give up the drug until Oasis co-founder Noel Gallagher inadvertently inspired him to set it aside 10 years ago.

“In the early days, I’d always get drunk way faster than the other guys,” Ulrich explained. “I realized that if there was a little bit of cocaine involved I could stay up longer, instead of ending up face down in the corner passed out three hours before the party ended. I loved the social elements of cocaine. I loved the danger of it. Then about 10 years ago, I read an interview with Noel Gallagher, in which he said: ‘I just stopped doing cocaine.’ I thought that was really cool: it felt so fresh, so honest, so pure — I love that side of him. I’ve never had an addictive personality, so I woke up one day and said: ‘Enough.’”

Unlike a lot of people who’ve walked away from substance abuse, Ulrich still finds himself able to indulge occasionally. His party diet has changed, however; as he told the Mirror, he planned on unwinding after Metallica’s recent Glastonbury gig with a glass of bubbly. “A glass of champagne, that’s probably what I’ll have,” he nodded. “Before the gig we’ll be like a sports team backstage doing all our stretching. We won’t be shooting tequilas. But afterwards, yes, I’ll have a drink. Champagne — maybe tequila, vodka. I like clear drinks; I don’t really do beer.”

Ulrich went on to describe his current domestic existence, which includes making lunch for his kids, driving them around after school, and squeezing in his Metallica responsibilities during the daytime hours. Cholesterol problems have driven meat from his diet — “I live and breathe hummus” — and although he still enjoys a bit of alcohol every now and then, he says it’s much more of an occasional thing these days. “If I have anything to drink at home, it’s maybe only once every week or two, and it’s always after the kids have gone to sleep,” he explained. “I don’t like to drink around them.”

Liam Gallagher's New York City Home Is Up For Sale

If you've got the money to live like a rock star, you might be interested in owning the home of one.

Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has put his two-bedroom New York City pad on the market for a cool $4 million.

And the star is clearly hoping to pocket a handsome profit, as he purchased the plush Manhattan abode for $2.5 million in 2012.

The apartment offers sweeping views over Central Park and the Big Apple beyond, thanks to its plum position on the 17th floor of the landmark JW Marriott Essex House hotel building.

According to the New York Post, the unit in the 1931 building was 'recently renovated and features coffered ceilings, wide-plank herringbone floors, central air conditioning and a chef’s kitchen with a 40-bottle wine cooler'.

And, just to add that little extra touch of luxury, the hotel's services are extended to the apartment's residents.

Those amenities include maid service, 24-hour room service, valet parking, plus a gym, spa and business centre.

And, should there be no immediate buyers, the apartment can be rented though the hotel's management if it sits unoccupied for more than one month.
