Liam Gallagher Piers Morgan Is Not That F***ing g Good

Piers Morgan has been savagely attacked by a host of celebrities at last night's GQ Awards.

Good Morning Britain's showbiz reporter, Richard Arnold, took to the red carpet of the star-studded bash to get the thoughts of some famous faces about the outspoken presenter.

Piers claimed he 'manned up' to make it into work with three broken ribs - but was ridiculed by the celebrities who claimed he isn't the 'man' he thinks he is.

The hosy injured his ribs last month and was admitted to hospital, but bravely fought the 'agony' to present GMB this week, although he didn't get much sympathy.

And Liam Gallagher may have started a furious war of words with Piers after his foul-mouthed comments.

He said: "Yeah he's an Arsenal fan ain't he - so he's not that f***ing good."

Various Radio Stations To Broadcast 'The We Are Manchester' Concert On Saturday

The Manchester Arena reopening concert, which will be headlined by Noel Gallagher, is to be broadcast live on three radio stations on Saturday.

BBC Radio Manchester, Key 103 and Radio X will all air the full show - the first at the venue since the bombing that killed 22 people on 22 May.

The line-up also includes Pixie Lott, Rick Astley, Louisa Johnson, Blossoms, The Courteeners and Bugzy Malone.

The We Are Manchester show will not be televised and tickets have sold out.

It is not yet known whether the audio feed will be available on the stations' websites as well as on air.

BBC Radio Manchester's Michelle Hussey and Natalie-Eve Williams will present coverage from the venue, while Dan O'Connell will do the same on Radio X.

All profits from the concert will go to the Manchester Memorial Fund, a charitable trust to set up a permanent memorial for the attack victims.

In an attempt to tighten security, all tickets will have the name of the ticket-buyer printed on them, and no backpacks or large bags will be allowed into the venue.

Liam Galagher looked to be on fine form as he swaggered into the Tate's Turbine Hall, accompanied by his girlfriend Debbie Gwyther.

The former Oasis star, who graced the mag's cover last month, mixed things up and combined black tie items with his own distinctive MOD tastes.

The 44-year-old Wall of Glass singer wore a parka-inspired overcoat in black with fitted wide-legged suit and what appeared to be a pair of silk lace-up trainers (also in black).

Liam Gallagher On Friends Who Abandoned Him After His Divorce

Liam Gallagher has revealed how one of the most personal tracks on his debut solo album sees him take aim at the friends that abandoned him during his divorce from Nicole Appleton.

The former Oasis singer tackles his 2015 divorce on solo album track ‘Bold’, and told Crack Magazine about how it was aimed at the friends who “scarper when the shit hits the fan.”

“Gonna take you off my list of to-dos…’ You’re ticking all the dickheads off, you know what I mean? When the divorce was goin’ down, a lot of friends or people who were with me when I had a band… It’s that old thing where they’re not there when you need them”, he said.

“When it’s all goin’ good, when there are drinks to be drunk, they’ve got their arm ’round you. But they scarper when the shit hits the fan. Not that I needed them anyway.

“[continues reciting lyrics] ‘Yes, I’ve been bold; I didn’t do what I was told.’ That speaks for itself. You know what you’re getting with me.”

The track is taken from Liam’s first solo album, ‘As You Were’, which is set to be released next month.

But it came close to never happening, after Liam contemplated quitting music following the demise of Beady Eye.

‘As You Were’, is set for release on October 6 – and will be accompanied by a massive UK tour in December.

Liam Gallagher Calls Calvin Harris "The Most Boring F*cking Person"

An insult from Liam Gallagher is a badge of honour. Whether he's calling Chris Martin "a geography teacher" or laying into the "fucking Amish people" that make up Mumford and Sons, the former frontman's acid tongue is only reserved for those at the top of their game.

So Calvin Harris will be happy to hear that Gallagher has a few choice words for him.

When asked about whether DJs had become the new rock stars in an interview with Huck magazine, the former Oasis singer said: "Not in my world, they haven't. What, Calvin fuckin' Harris? The most boring fucking person? Fuck off, mate... I'll tell you what they've become: the new accountants"

He was then asked if he believed himself to be the greatest living rock icon, to which he replied: "Others have said it and I do believe they're not fucking wrong".

"I think people are starting to realise what they've been missing.

"Someone who's completely 100 percent into it; someone who doesn't bullshit people or stand for bullshit."

Needless to say he took some time out to target Noel, too. He labelled his brother a "Tory boy" and accused him of arranging meetings with Johnny Marr and Paul Weller before Oasis broke up.

"I certainly didn't ruin Oasis," Liam said. "I fucking love Oasis. Why would I want to split it up? It proper fuckin' riles me, that. But real Oasis fans haven't picked sides. They're just like, 'Fuckin' hell, them two.'."

Backstage pass: Liam Gallagher

Friday 8th September 2017

Backstage Pass follows Liam Gallagher, one of music’s most iconic frontmen, as he travels to Paris to play the first ever Lollapalooza to be held in the city.

Accompanied by his new band and with new material Liam prepares to play tracks from his forthcoming debut solo album plus some Oasis classics.

Liam and his brother Noel burst onto the British music scene in 1994 with Oasis’ debut album Definitely Maybe. At the time it was the fastest selling debut UK album of all time. In 2009, after seven albums and a lot of tabloid column inches the band broke up. Liam continued as Beady Eye, with fellow Oasis members, until 2014. Now he’s back, as entertaining as ever, with his first solo album.

Once voted the greatest frontman of all time, Backstage Pass follows Liam as he prepares to take to the stage, chats to the press and hangs out with family and friends.

Liam Gallagher On Being On F**king Fire, Playing Live, Richard Ashcroft, Noel And More

Below are a few quotes from the October issue of Q, that is on sale in stores and digitally now.

On his current form.

“I’m on fire at the moment – on fucking fire!”

On his new album 'As You Were'.

“Now I’ve got the whole world ‘As you were’-ing me,” he enthuses. “Everyone’s saying it – people in China going, ‘Az yew waah!’”

“It’s worth shouting about,” he says, “there’s some proper tunes on there. At the gigs everyone’s been buzzing off the new stuff. We did one with Richard Ashcroft, and he was going, ‘What’s that tune you played at the end, man?’ It was You Better Run.

He goes, ‘It sounded like fucking gang music, like the Hell’s Angels booting the door open.’

There’s a couple of odd ones, too, and that’s the beauty of writing with people.”

On playing live and returning back to music.

“It’s been good to be back at work,” he says, “singing songs to the people, who’re bored out of their fucking minds. It feels like there’s a new vibe there, so maybe the break’s done everyone good. Maybe they’ve realised how shit it is without me.”

On Noel releasing a album a few weeks after his.

“It’s like we’ve come full circle,” he concludes. “We’ve slagged off every single fucking band in the universe, and now me and him are going head to head. I’m sure his record is gonna be great, man, but I feel double proud of mine, really confident. I do exactly what it says on the tin. I’m here to give the people what they want.”
