Liam And Noel Gallagher Reportedly End Feud

Liam and Noel Gallagher are reportedly planning to open a bar together and have ended their ongoing feud after meeting up at a a family wedding.

Liam and Noel Gallagher have reportedly ended their feud.

The brothers have barely spoke since a huge backstage bust-up ended their band Oasis in August 2009, but the pair recently met up at a family wedding in Ireland and buried the hatchet and are now even planning to open a bar together with their beloved motherPeggy.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: ''Liam initially came up with the idea after a recent trip to Manchester with his mum Peggy.

''Then between them they thought Noel should also be brought on board.

''The brothers are thinking about an indie rock-themed place which serves artisan food.''

The pair plan to call their bar 'Champagne Supernova' after the Oasis anthem - which was included on the band's seminal album '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?' - of the same name and hope to finalise their deal at an underground venue close to the Deansgate and Spinningfields area of Manchester.

The insider added: ''The brothers are consulting their famous friends such as Russell Brand and Holly Willoughby for advice on the venue.

''They reckon a hot new bar could bring them together again.''

While the business move doesn't mean Oasis will be getting back together, the group's original guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs - who left the band in 1999 - recently predicted a musical reunion will happen eventually.

He said: ''If someone said, 'Here's a field, here's a stage and here's 200,000 people,' I'm sure Liam would jump up and do it, and I don't think it would even take anyone offering him a massive bankroll of money. He'd do it because that's what he loves, that's his passion.''

Since the super-group disbanded Liam, 41, started new band Beady Eye, while 46-year-old Noel has embarked on his own solo project, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

Russell Brand And Noel Gallagher To Open A Bar

Russell Brand and Noel Gallagher are planning to open a talent bar in north London to showcase the skills of upcoming musicians.

The comedian and the former Oasis star want to give upcoming artists the opportunity to showcase their skills in a new private members spot in north London.

It's thought the pair are hoping to replicate the success of arty club Boogaloo in Highgate which is known for its trendy atmosphere and live music.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: ''The plan is to start a private members forum that will attract young professionals and upcoming artists to show off their talents. It was Russell's idea but Noel is fully behind it.''

The duo have been friends for years with Russell even delivering a speech at Noel's wedding to Sara McDonald in 2011.

Russell shared a table with Noel at the GQ Awards in September, where the 'Get Him to the Greek' star picked up the Oracle of the Year award, and he managed to make a jibe at the singer during the ceremony.

He said: ''Oracle? That's got to be a made up award so I would turn up. It was also a great source of news when I was growing up, alongside Teletext.

''I would like to thank that pixelated news source and say to Noel, good luck being more offensive than that son!''

Liam Gallagher, Jonathan Ross And Russell Brand Feature In New Book

If you want to guarantee sales for a new book about Hampstead, featuring half its population is probably a good place to start.

It’s also a sure-fire way to get a healthy turnout at your launch, as the writer of Hampstead’s very own answer to Private Eye, the Hampstead Village Voice, can attest.

The launch of Hampstead Faces Volume 1, the magazine’s book spin-off, was held upstairs at Waterstones in Hampstead High Street and attracted a large assemblage of local folk, including many who featured in the book’s pages.

A quirky snapshot of Hampstead life, it comprises nearly 100 pages of photos of the people who help make the place what it is, alongside written profiles of each penned by Village Voice writer Emmanuel ‘Mustafa’ Goldstein.

The likes of Jonathan Ross, Liam Gallagher, Russell Brand and Patrick Vieira, most of whom Mr Goldstein has apparently spotted roaming the streets and promptly accosted for a photo, are included alongside others who are less internationally-renowned, but just as familiar to many Hampstead denizens.

These include Gabrielle du Ploy, owner of Zebra One Gallery in Perrin’s Walk, “Rainbow” George Weiss, who is something like Hampstead’s answer to Screaming Lord Sutch, and the Ham&High’s long-serving photographer Nigel Sutton.

Mr Goldstein, who has been known to have the odd pop at the Ham&High, said the book came out of the regular Hampstead Faces page in his magazine, which is approaching its 20th edition.

“Over a period of time, quite a few famous people appeared in it,” he said,

“What’s nice about that page, you might have Rob the fisherman and Russell Brand on the same page.

“It’s a nice leveller, everyone gets their there little bit.”

He added: “That’s the idea of the Village Voice – to get some community cohesion, because Hampstead is becoming a bit of a Monopoly board for developers and the super rich.

“It’s not traditionally like that. The dynamic of Hampstead has changed a lot, it’s become a bit elitist. But there is still a strong community here and the idea is to try and keep that going.”

Noel Gallagher Accuses Russell Brand Of Going Through Rod Stewart's Jumble!

Taken from from the Guardian, read the full article here.

Noel Gallagher was immediately ahead of me in the press line and he's actually a mate. I mean, I love him: sometimes I forget he wrote Supersonic and played to 400,000 people at Knebworth because he's such a laugh. He laid right into me, the usual gear: "What the fook you wearing? Does Rod Stewart know you're going through his jumble?" I try to remain composed and give as good as I get, even though the paddock-side banter is accompanied by looming foam-tipped eavesdroppers, hanging like insidious mistletoe.

Noel Gallagher Meets Up With Russell Brand And Morrissey In LA

Russell Brand should have guessed what he’d be in for meeting up with Noel Gallagher and Morrissey.

He tweeted this snap on a night out in LA, and wrote: “Victimized by heroes. Me with Moz and Noel G. Quite badly bullied.”

He’d help himself by turning up without the beads and waistcoat.

Strange reaction from Morrissey – the closest his mouth has ever been to a smile.

Russell Brand Would Want A 'Taxidermied Noel Gallagher' On Desert Island

Russell Brand has told BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs programme that if he were to become stranded he'd want a stuffed Noel Gallagher as his luxury item.

When asked by presenter Kirsty Young what item he’d want with him to make his life more bearable, Brand asked: "You can't take a person, can you? I can't take Noel Gallagher as a luxury item, as a minstel?" Young replied: "You could take him stuffed." Brand then said: "That’s the perfect thing. I'd like a taxidermied Noel Gallagher, perhaps somehow misrepresented – like wearing one of Liam’s jackets."

Later he added: "I've got my stuffed Noel Gallagher to worship and dress up, if I want to. I can do what I like to him. It’ll be a mockery of that man on that island."

For his eight musical choices, the comedian and actor picked:

Amy Winehouse – 'You Know I’m No Good'
Daniel Johnston – 'Like A Monkey In A Zoo'
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – 'Red Right Hand'
The Libertines – 'Tell The King'
Ravi Shankar With Family & Friends – 'I Am Missing You'
Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip – 'Thou Shalt Always Kill'
Nirinjan Kaur – 'Triple Mantra'
Morrissey – 'Now My Heart is Full'

Earlier this year, Brand performed with Noel Fielding for the Teenage Cancer Trust Show at London's Royal Albert Hall as part of a week of events organised by Gallagher. During the show, Brand played a video recorded at Gallagher's house, which showed the singer's children punching a Brand face mask while shouting, "I hate Russell Brand!"

Noel Gallagher's told Xfm - after curating the 2013 series of Teenage Cancer Trust Shows at the Royal Albert Hall in place of Sir Roger Daltrey - he definitely wants to be involved again.

"Oh yeah of course, plans are already started for next year," he admitted to Xfm's Jon Holmes.

Russell Brand Takes Aim At Noel Gallagher

Noel Fielding and Russell Brand performed for the Teenage Cancer Trust at London's Royal Albert Hall last night (March 20) as part of a week of special shows organised by Noel Gallagher.

The chaotic show was introduced by the charity's founder Roger Daltrey, after which Fielding and Brand appeared as a double act called The Goth Detectives, inviting audience members to offer up mysteries for them to solve. The show culminated later in the evening with them giving a 'gothmakeover' to an audience member, cutting his hair and draping him in black.

During the show, Noel Gallagher made an appearance to talk about the charity's work. But he was also the brunt of many of Russell Brand's gags. Brand joked about how Gallagher took the mickey out of him "murdering" The Beatles during the Olympics Opening Ceremony. Brand then joked that at least he hadn't "dug up their corpses and made a career of it".

Brand also played a video recorded at Gallagher's house, which showed the singer's children punching a Brand face mask while shouting, "I hate Russell Brand!"

Brand also performed solo for a section of the show, as did Fielding, who performed as Roy Circles, the chocolate finger PE teacher character from his show Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy. Comedians Tony Law and Seann Walsh also played sets during the show.

The Teenage Cancer Trust shows continue tonight with Primal Scream. Kasabian play on Friday and Noel, Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon and Gruff Rhys appear on Saturday.

Noel Gallagher Had A Bet On For How Long Russell Brand's Marriage Would Last

His divorce from Katy Perry was a long drawn out affair, but it seems Russell Brand is now able to laugh at his short marriage.

The comic was happy to use the topic for entertainment purposes as he ended his exile from radio and returned with a special show on Monday night.

Amongst the many jokes, Russell, 37, discovered that his friends and co-hosts, Noel Gallagher, Matt Morgan and Trevor Lock had all had bets on how long his marriage would last.

Joking around on the XFM show, which was being broadcast in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust, Russell listened as his friends mocked his time with Katy.

Trevor began the comical assault by giving a review of Russell's entrance to the wedding on the back of an elephant.

However, before he could begin he stated that he knew the marriage lasted exactly 14 months because some of the guys had a sweepstake going.

Then in his best funny voice Brand added: 'Marriage is a sacred bond that can last 14 months.'

Poking fun at his shambles of a marriage wasn't the only thing up for discussion as his grand entrance to the ceremony was ridiculed.

Trevor said: 'I was just going to quickly culturally review one part of your wedding. We talked about this, I can't do the whole wedding, well parts of it anyway, or the marriage.

'It was a lovely moment it was the bit in a wedding where man usually walks into a church.

'In Russell's world it was a sort of solemn dignified journey on an elephant it was about 20ft.

'You came in on an a elephant with a whole crowd of people watching, you didn't smile and wave at anyone, and you came in with a solemn studied look.'

The jesting continued as Trevor said: 'The thing is when you're on a elephant you have to get off a elephant to do the wedding.

'The whole platform tips really badly forward... and then you're helped off the elephant by a whole team.'

Brand added: 'That marriage was shaky from the get go.'

Russell Brand: Noel Gallagher's Kids Destroyed An Effigy Of Me

Russell Brand returned to radio last night (March 18) with a special show on Xfm that featured Noel Gallagher, Matt Morgan and the team for raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust.

Just like in the old days, Russell and Noel immediately engaged in some typically barbed banter - with the comedian revealing how the former Oasis man's young sons attacked a mask of his face in a "pagan" style scenario.

Russell told how he arrived at Noel's house on Valentine's Day - with a bunch of flowers for the singer's wife, incidentally - to be confronted by a bizarre scene.

"It was lovely to visit you at your house and meet your two delightful sons," Brand said. "There was a moment where your lad Donovan savaged a mask of me.

"The kids were there playing with one of those masks available from a souvenir tourist boutique. It was a sort of mask of my face. Another one of the children, Sonny, he had a mask on of Noel's face. Noel had been out and purchased them. It seemed very ritualistic, pagan behaviour… very peculiar, very unsettling Wicker Man antics in the Gallagher household."

"We used your mask to potty train Donovan," explained Gallagher. "They laid into it, the mask. They were chanting: I hate Russell Brand, I hate Russell Brand - they'd rehearsed it all day. I can't tell you, the rush of pride I had."

Meanwhile, Russell retaliated with a dig about Noel's brother Liam when the singer accused him of not coming up with any new ideas.

"Some of us like to retread the early years of our career incessantly," said Brand, "knowing that we've not come up with anything decent pretty much since the good looking frontman cleared off!"

Teenage Cancer Trust: Limited Damien Hirst Print And Signed Adidas Trainers

During his live radio show with Russell Brand on Xfm this evening Noel Gallagher announced two further donations to help the Teenage Cancer Trust as part of the week of concerts at the Royal Albert Hall this week

Damien Hirst has donated a limited edition print (pictured), which is set to raise up to £30,000 at auction. The stunning artwork, called Mantra, is a diamond dusted silk screen print of butterfly wings, from an edition of 50 and signed by the artist. It will go under the hammer at Bonhams London on the 17th July to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Additionally, Noel will be donating the last remaining pairs of limited edition signature trainers he designed in association with Adidas. Each pair will be signed personally by Noel. Only 200 pairs of these shoes were ever produced and they sold out instantly when first released. The Teenage Cancer Trust will be selling the trainers along with other memoraibilia connected with the 2013 performances via an online auction shortly after the Royal Albert Hall shows are completed.

Noel Gallagher's A Fan Of David Icke

Noel Gallagher doesn’t suffer fools, so fans will fall off their stools to hear he’s still an admirer of David Icke.

The High Flying Birds pal Russell Brand had the pair on his US show Brand X, filmed in London on Thursday night.

Noel said he was a fan of Icke’s and had been to his lectures with Brand.

But he went quiet when Russell and Icke started rattling on about why the pundit believes the world’s leaders are really “giant lizards” and we can only see “0.0005 per cent of reality”.

Noel interrupted to ask Russ the only sensible question of the discussion – “Can I go?”
Russell replied: “Stay to the end, don’t be an a***hole. If he goes to the pub I’m turning this thing into an orgy after I ask my mum to leave.”

It didn’t turn out that way. After the show Brand was mobbed by female fans, while Noel handed £50 to a bearded beggar. The Oasis star then headed to the Groucho club and partied with Matt Smith.

You’d need a pint after a night with Icke.
