Liam Gallagher Backs #IAMWHOLE Campaign On World Mental Health Day

Liam Gallagher has backed a mental health awareness campaign to mark World Mental Health Day 2016, which takes place today (Monday, October 10).

The #IAMWHOLE campaign was launched with help from Jordan Stephens of Rizzle Kicks, who has recorded the song 'Whole' (scroll below to watch video) for the NHS-backed anti-stigma campaign. The campaign, a partnership with youth charity YMCA, hopes to raise awareness of mental health issues suffered by young people.

Celebrities such as James Corden and Ed Sheeran have backed the cause so far, sharing photos of their hand with a circle drawn on it. Now Oasis frontman Gallagher is the latest to join the campaign.

Liam Gallagher recently "held the olive branch out" to brother Noel Gallagher, saying that he wants to repair their relationship for the sake of their mother.

Liam told The Sunday Times: "Obviously [our mum would] like us to be chatting, sit around the table at Christmas. But it’s a stupid standoff, and we should know better, as we have kids. It would be nice for me and [Noel] to get back together as brothers. But it’s good, the standoff. I’m enjoying it. I ain’t backing down. He ain’t backing down."

"At least people are still talking about it. They’re obsessed," he added. "There’s no harm in it. He says shit about me. I say shit about him. I have held the olive branch out, and there has been nothing, so there you go. Potato it is, mate."

Blue M&M Nearly Kills Liam Gallagher

Liam Gallagher has put his constitution to the test with a rock ’n’ roll lifestyle stretching back to his teenage years.

But the Beady Eye star has received his first serious glimpse of the Pearly Gates after a blue M&M sent him crashing into anaphylactic shock last month.

Liam has been diagnosed with the life-threatening nut allergy after suffering a reaction to his favourite sweets while staying in a hotel on tour.

And now the former Oasis man has to carry a special injection with him everywhere he goes in case a rogue nut creeps into his system.

Speaking at the launch of The Red House restaurant in south-west London, he said: “I’ve done some stuff over the years but never, never did I think a f****** blue M&M would be the thing that could have killed me. I was in a hotel on holiday and got in about the mini bar.

“I was bored and hungry, so it’s what you do, man. I’ve always liked M&Ms so I got into them. I had a blue one.

“My mouth started to swell up and I could feel it tightening my throat, man. I had to go to the docs and get it checked out straight away.

“It happened again a couple of weeks after and now I’ve got to carry a syringe about with me in case of emergencies. Proper Pete Doherty gear.”

The singer was out on the town to support his Pretty Green clothing business partner Chris Jonns, who has opened a new top-notch restaurant and bar near the King’s Road. Beady Eye are about to release second album, BE, which he is itching to get out and tour.

Liam was drinking with brother-in-law Liam Howlett from The Prodigy, Hurts’ singer Theo Hutchcraft, rappers Rizzle Kicks and The Libertines hero Carl Barrat.

Liam’s missus Nicole Appleton, her sister Natalie and fellow All Saint Shaznay Lewis were on the lash too.

The night ended in The Box club in Soho in the wee small hours.

Luckily it’s not the kind of venue to leave peanuts out for the punters...

Ed Sheeran Explains Noel Gallagher Charity Gig Snub

Ed Sheeran has defended himself after Noel Gallagher revealed he has pulled out of a verbally-agreed charity performance.

The 'Lego House' performer agreed to play a headline set at this year's series of Teenage Cancer Trust shows, before realising that it fell on the same week as his sold-out tour in Australia.

"I actually told him I would do the gig whenever he wanted, but the week they were planned I was in Australia with gigs already booked and sold out," Sheeran tweeted.

"Had it been any other time I would have made it happen but I found this out after I'd said yes.

"I think it would be worse saying no instantly without knowing, to be honest, and I said any other time he wants to do a show and I'm not on tour, I will 100 per cent do it."

Gallagher - who curated this year's charity shows at the Royal Albert Hall - previously outed acts who had pulled out at the last minute.

"I'd talk to Ed Sheeran and Mumford & Sons... and I got let down a lot," he said. "Everybody says yes to your face.

"And then the agent will call and say, 'Ah, they're going to be in Australia at the time'. Really? Well, they never said that to me."

He added: "But if the people that blew me off but said they'll do it next year actually do, it might be the greatest event since Woodstock."

Gallagher performed with Blur's Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon for this year's events, which also saw performances from Kasabian, Labrinth and Rizzle Kicks.
